  • I play French horn. I love this song! and I've listened to many horn groups play this song. and I must say that this is the BEST horn group on YouTube thta played this song. hands down!

  • I play the french horn, and I was 2nd chair in our Wind Ensemble, so I was really good. Then I got braces, and well........... do I need to say more! But this is just gorgeous! I watch it all the time!

  • è magnifico... fiera di suonare uno strumento così meraviglioso.. complimenti

  • omg i got goosebumps seconds in

  • does anyone have a score. i would love to learn this piece!

  • darn birds

  • The FF part is GREAT!

  • The Horn is the compliment sound, the deeper emotion. Like the cherry on the cake or the after taste of nice glass of wine. This instrument is wonderful and I love to hear it!

  • In my opinion, french horn is the most majestic instruments in the world. Its just sad that there aren't enough of them in the world. Loved it.

  • the birds are annoying as hell

  • jeez they are just complimenting to the musi

  • ........................wow...................That was gorgeous....I LOVE that first horn player they're amazing!!! this piece has been overplayed so much that i usually find it unbearably cheesy, but that version was beautiful!

  • @JenTurtle91

French horn - when well played - makes anything awesome...=)

  • that performance was sexy, i just wish the sound quality was better

  • I think that the birds make it sound even more magical...

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA this video response kicked the responded video's ASS!

  • gorgeous

  • Pretty good!!

  • who arranged this version?

  • all i ever think about is music, titanic, and money

  • lmao, straight up.

  • encore encore!! bravo!!! i love titanic and this piece with the french horns is beautiful!

  • With something of such exquisite beauty, as a passerby I'm not sure how you could just keep walking... I think I would just be frozen in my place. The sight of 12 horns doing anything however would stop me in my tracks--- until I chased them, wanting to touch the horns, and play along. Creeepppy.

  • This is absolutely beautiful...

I think the birds chirping outside make it even cooler =o

  • that is beautiful 0_0! titanic is still one of my favorite songs to listen to and the french horn playin at the beginning!!!...AWESOME!! more than awesome..there's really no words to explain . overall...BRAVO!!

  • This is one of the most beautiful pieces I have ever heard, and I am extremely appreciative of the range as a player myself. Absolutely fantastic

  • im first chair at my school this makes me want to go pratice

    lol

  • Fabulous arrangement. Nothing like the sound of massed horns. Love it!

  • BRAVO!!!

  • Nice performance.

  • i play french horn and i love it!

  • @tytheechidna4 This piece just makes you proud and makes you want to practice doesn't it?

  • Beautiful! Thanks for the nice performance!

  • D above staff? Holy cow. Well, I'm gonna work on my range. I got C so so, B natural is getting pretty decent. I want to play this piece. I shall expand my range! blahaha!

  • dang! im more a low range myself. highest ive gone is Bb *barely*. lowest was around C below staff ( Bass Clef )

  • @AngedeleCor I've actually hit a D above the staff, but I nearly killed myself, but I have around the same range. lol

  • @Musician2013 I used to be able to hit high C (above staff) taking my horn out of her case but then i got braces!

  • BRAVO!!!

  • I am a horn player in my high school and this whole song gave me the chills! The rips were awesome and the solo lines were beautiful!

  • wow, typos... it's in the d above the treble staff range....sorry about that

  • oh, and the low part is in bass clef, down near e below the bass clef sometimes...

  • um, no, the lowest note is only A

  • haha, i'm playing this in a 12 horn group at college, and it's ion the d the staff range, lol... very high! and i'm only on 3rd horn! it's a very cool peice to play, anyone who has enough friends to teach horn to well should play it...

  • haha.. dont complete too soon! first horn has a C# and two D!!

  • Hey! Can someone send me the horn parts for this song? Plz? PM me yea? Thanks!!

  • woooooooow trop magnifique vive le cor

  • OMG, High Ds! Crazy! I'm a french horn in need of a challenge. Can anyone send me a copy of the horn parts of this song. PM me.

  • edit: french horn player not french horn... That would be pretty interesting if I was a french horn...

  • Im a striving horn player and this song is the epitome of horn playing, but i do have to say that the best experience of it must be the London Horn Sound. those notes up in double C range just ring! its so amazing.

  • always wanted to play this but getting 12 horns together is no easy feat!

  • this was just beautiful.

i play the horn also, and i have to say that the solo horn player did an outstanding job.

the rest of the ensemble sounded very tight as well.

    absolutely, and quite simply, beautiful.

  • začuđujuce dobro

  • i'm a french horn player, and this video is freakin amazing!! i wanna play like that some day. i'm pretty good already, but there is still a lot of room to improve.

  • This is amazing I wish I could play like this, but my French Horn sounds really dull. With how many are you there? In the orchestra where I play in in Holland we only have 4 French Horns:(

  • haha, thats just right. this is an ensemble, so its def many groups joined. :)

  • This is amazing! It's gorgeous..

  • OMG! this is really amazing-masterpiece. I play French Horn & am a drum major & our school has to pick Solos next Tues. Is there ne way I can get the scores to this, or at least all Horn parts please? PM me if u can.

    thanx and God bless.

  • really good. Does anyone know if any video's were done of the london horn sound in recording? would be amazing to see

  • I love it when french horns sound this amazing! I'm currently a senior in high school and I wish our band had amazing french horns so we could play songs like this.

All though, I wish the birds would've shut up.

  • actually i like the bird sounds, it just the video that perfect cherry at the top to go with the beautifal (sp?) horns

  • AGREED :)

  • i gotta agree also! thumbsup for you!

  • I still never got to play this piece. Played most of the other London Horn Sound stuff, but not this. :-(

  • so amazing!

  • They are amazing. I want to play the french horn that well...

  • Listen to the London Horn Sound folks.

They have played this as well as other crazy pieces.

  • beautiful^_^

  • Verry good But to fast!

  • so... the sucky french horn players in my middle school band are gonna get a scholarship and start doing stuff like this shortly afterwards?! DAMN! I knew i shouldn't have picked alto sax... (although my band director lets me play bari sax at times...) good thing im taking up bugle and trumpet too... haha

  • I am trying to convince my band director to let me play this my senior year....he prob won't let the band though cuz i am the only horn player in the entire band :(

  • that's pretty amazing. some of the best horn playing i've heard. i'll hopefully being doing things like that in a few years.

  • it makes me want to learn to play the french horn!!! so beautiful!!!

  • Whow, it sounds great!

    Thank you for posting this!

  • This makes me want to go cry in a corner.

    Yeah, it's THAT good.

  • haha I definitely agree... it's gorgeous

  • Wow, thats amazing, I play French Horn, I wanna get that good.

  • i think i just cried alittle, simply my favorite french horn part

  • This group is by far the best, musically, but they don't stick to the concept of the piece. First horn has an amazing tone. Very good vibration, and he sounds very West Coast. Musicality is pretty good, too, but sometimes a bit too rough. Especially about 2:50 in. The vocal solo isn't like a voice.

    The birds ruin this.

  • u can tell the birds like the music...i play french horn and it has a beauitful sound and i loved the video

  • Does anybody have a copy of the master score for this or any of the parts? I would LOVE this arrangement!!!

  • I can't think why that player at 7:03 is playing with his hand outside the bell.

  • He is holding in his mute, thats why.

  • you wouldnt think that the lead hornist in the American Horn Quartet would do that now would you?

  • WOW nice tone

  • I'm not a big fan of the vibrato from the solo in the beginning. Other than that it was a fine performance of this great piece. I recommend everyone give the Vienna Horns' version a listen. It's incredible.

  • is there a video of of them on youtube?

  • is that a serious question?

  • i meant is there more of 5th Annual Lugano Horn Workshop in Switzerland on youtube

  • lol just checking

  • omg. this is awesome! I was in the United States Youth Ensembles Summer of 2007, in the Youth Choir. I sang in that very same spot! and I had a solo as well. You guys sound amazing!

  • lol wow. the birds chirping in the background contributes to the buildup of the atmosphere as well. anyway beautiful and awesome french horn sound! (:

  • What a great group of guys to work with as they are truly American horn ambassadors and they really help to promote horn music for the younger hornists.

  • AWESOME! :)

  • Well done. wish my tone was that dope.

  • Amazing. It's breathtaking, I hope I can sound like that some day, and this helps encourage me to work harder to become an even better player. Beautiful...

  • wow

  • man this sounds awesome.......i dont know how many times ive hear it these past six months.......lol.....but it sounds amazing!!!.....hope one day i get to sound like that.....

  • Beautiful. Absolutely dramatic and moving. This music epitomizes the soul of the Horn. Its an honor to express at that level.

  • that sounds so good!!!! i play french horn too!!!

  • we get critizise at my school cause we play the f horn.....

  • That is very nice, heh now a days I think why did I go to Flute when I had French Horn as a class in the 6th. I just had to switch classes no one convinced me. D:

    Eh, But anyways very nice. ;w;

  • btw why do they keep moveing back and forth like that in there seat? a techniq?

  • THAT IS SO AWSOME!

Didnt even know the french horn could sound like that.

  • i play the French horn and i hope to be that good as well!!! FRENCH HORNS RULE!!!

  • aww yay!! that was so much fun...wish i could do it again!!! cant believe i got to sit and play next to geoff winter...

  • where's the hearth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow!!!! that sounds amazing! i play the french horn and I hope that on day I am that good

  • I just had a masterclass with Kerry a few weeks ago. He gave a recital the night before with his wife, his brother, and a piano player.

  • wow ! that sounds good

  • Absolutly gorgeous! Is there anyway possible I could get a hold of that piece??? Please let me know...

  • I absolutely love this! It's so pretty. I think I'm going to cry. GO FRENCH HORNS!

  • All I've been listing to for the past week is this. It gives me goosebumps, and I think I'm in love.

  • PWN!! that was so good. Titanic and horn...it's all i ever need in life. haha. im actually getting chills. It's brilliant! absolutely amazing!

  • Beautiful playing. only bad thing is those annoying birds chirping in the background

  • i like the birds. nature can sound so pretty <3

  • i play the french horn GREEAT compared 2 us...

  • 3:31 -- Serious blat.

    Beautiful by the way!

  • yeah in the pedal range, playing with that timbre is the acceptable way.

  • Was there a CD made of this group playing this song. If so, what is it called?

    P.S. THAT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

  • London Horn Sound

  • American Horn Quartet is a group of great horn players, they are all from US but live and work in Europe. Other players are participants of a workshop hosted by the Quartet. 1st horn is David Johnson, a member of AHQ. They play on a square in Lugano, Switzerland.

  • in this clip, is that not Kerry Turner on the first part?

  • Yeah, that`s Kerry.
