  • O_O Impossibru!! asasasdasdasdad <3

  • Why does Jasmine sing in English at 1:31?

  • @DominoViolin

I'm not sure how familiar you are with Japanese songs, but it's very, very common for them to insert an English word or phrase into the song. One of my favorite English voice actors, Chris Sabat, once said of Japanese songs: "I love how they sing it mostly in Japanese but then out of nowhere they'll throw you an English bone." Ever since then, I've used the term "English Bone" to refer to the random English word or phrase dropped in a Japanese song.

  • @TheShockMaster Oh OK. I'm not familiar with Japanese songs at all, so it's good to know that they're doing it intentionally!

  • @DominoViolin

Ha, yeah, it's totally intentional. It definitely sounds weird to people who primarily speak English, though, especially if they're not familiar with Japan's song-writing habits. I remember the first time I heard an English phrase out of nowhere, I paused the video and I was like, "......Wait, what?"

  • @DominoViolin haha didn't even notice that!

  • ooooo soraaaaa

  • Roy Mustang is Aladdin.

    EPIC WIN!!

    he can sing!! =]

  • @XxOhSoEnviousxX REALLY? I didnt excepted :D

  • @XxOhSoEnviousxX *,* thx for information. Great seiyu.

  • Jasmine sounds so shoujo xD

  • hahahah sounds funny but not bad - not bad at all

  • japanese Aladdin sounds HOT!~ *__*

  • @xTheRainbow FOR SURE YESSS <3

  • *_*

  • princess jasmine voice here is so sweet i love in japanese

  • awww, they took out the squak

  • Wow! I actually really like the singing voices in this one. They did a great job.

  • AWWWW so f***in cute this is the best i just love hearing them in diff. dubs

  • ^ ^ awww.....wonderful

  • Japanese dubs make princesses sound like anime characters(:

  • @falalaxfearless LOL at your anime voice comment. well, i still like the way they sound regardless

  • Kaito and Meiko sing so similar, but not better

  • >U< I heart Disney Japanese dubs so very much. Japanese is so much more pretty than English X)

  • i like! i like! i like! hehehe....

  • Roy Mustang's voice actor is singing <3

  • @SkaterCam12 that's awkward

  • @SkaterCam12 ARE YOU FOR REAL? ♥_♥ I think I just fell in love with Roy Mustang all over again xD

  • I miss the time I went to japan join a music class when they taught me this song ! It's good to open our eyes n mind!

  • I think it's wonderful, except for the last word, itsumademo. The division of syllables doesn't flow well with the melody that is left. =)

  • this makes me cry in happiness........

  • The melody of any Disney song fits so well with all languages! :)

  • Princesuuuu :3

    so cute!

and I agree, any version of a classical Disney Song is simply beautiful:)

  • even if in different languages, I still feel the love of this song! We grew up listening to this, I'm glad kids from the other side of the planet can grow up enjoying this too! ;]

  • I absolutely love the sound of Japanese, BUT it doesn't sound good here - the way the Japanese language flow just doesn't fit in with the melody. Japanese syllables are short and there's a slight ring to it. It doesn't even sound like Japanese to me in this song lol! (don't speak Japanese btw)

  • i love disney sonds

and i love the japanese language

  • so kawaiiiiiiii it awsomeeeee

  • did they fly around half of the world in one night 0_o

  • @ThePaopuFruitLover like Santa

  • Why is it that in no matter what lang. who ever does Aladdin's voice s*cks? The girls always do a great job with Jasmine.

  • @Sleepingsparklegirl He sounds like the orignal VA O_O how is he bad.

  • @Summoner1000 I think the guys singing isn't great, doesn't have a harmonious voice.

  • @Summoner1000 I didn't like the voice of the original Aladdin, and I don't like any other version of the guy's part it sound mediocre.

  • @Sleepingsparklegirl He doesn't s*ck! >:( He sounds great!

  • lol, this is awesome

  • wow... this is amazing!!

  • マスタング大佐...

  • I love this!! This has always been my favorite Disney song (and movie) and I love it in Japanese all the more!! I'm glad that they didn't give Jasmine a voice that was too high-pitched like in anime. Her gasps at the start had me a little worried! Aladdin turned out to have a better voice than I thought he'd have! AWESOME!!

  • wow... Aladin's voice sounds like the guy in the band '' plastic tree''

  • i think this song is perfect for ouran high school host club (any anime fans here?)

  • @ariserrocks me !!! hehehe but im a spanish speaker ... i know a little of english ... just a little :P

  • @okarenhelena sweet!

    im an anime freak myself:)

  • @ariserrocks ^^ you're right !

  • @selena893 :)

  • mai fav disney movie xDDDDDD and mai fav language ugh thank you!

  • awesome.

  • there could be an anime version of jasmine, her hair and eyes are huge!! and she's really beautiful lol

  • Aladdin's voice sounds just like the English voice, lol. Sounds better in Japanese though.

  • its fun to listen to the english right next to the japanese... i had it playin on iTunes as i watch/listened to this...

  • LOL haha this sounds so funny xD I've been hearing the English all my life and now this just seems plain weird haha

  • woot gotta love it.thank goodness for kingdom hearts to combine Disney and Japanese as well :D

  • lol i was listening then i heard her go a whole new world.. i did a double take xd

  • Why is it that Disney has so better Japanese voice actors than so many more movies/shows?

  • I love this... Combines two of some of my favorite things. Disney and Japanese. I just recently found out that you can view Disney movies in other languages like two years ago. Makes me happy.

  • misete ageyou, kagayaku sekai

princessu jiyuu no hana wo hora

me wo hiraite, kono hiroi sekai wo

mahou no juutan ni mi wo makase

    OOZORA kumo wa utsukushiku

dare mo bokura, hikitome shibari wa shinai

    ^.^

lets just say ive seen this way too much

  • Its funny listening to it in Japanese then all of a sudden hearing "Princessu" :D

  • @Sims2freakazoider thats a very normal thing for modern japanese :)

  • great..!!!

    love this version....~~~~

  • i love that version, the voices are amazingly seemed to the original :D

  • This is the first time to see the song in Japanese version. and it impressed me a lot. it reminds me of my wedding.(I'm Japanese)

  • I didn't think this movie would get dubbed in japanese XD

  • It's good for what they had to do.

  • I think it's the guy's voice... the girl's voice is slightly better. And the translation's awkwardly phrased so the song sounds weird. I kinda agree! :)

  • for every translation disney tries to find voices that are very similar to the original in english, thats very impressive:D

  • Because it's almost close to the orignal. very cool!

  • Who sang this version?

  • HAHAHA purincesoooo

  • @iridescentg omgggg! idd x'D

  • lol 1:14 looks likw ice cream :D

  • i like both! but dis version is better!

  • @MrAleper lol! wat's ur problem?! let's see u do better!

  • English words sound cool for Japanese. But, most of people can't understand English, so we put English sentences a little to Japanese songs.

  • i wonder why in japanese songs they always put some sentences in english

  • 0:21 he should have said something more like hime-san

  • Lol. Princessu.

  • Isnt the male voice actor James from Team Rocket in the original version of pokemon?

  • They could very well have trained to say de Rs that way...I mean, its not that hard. And deppending on what part of japan they are, they may do more of a "l" or of a "r" sound - japanese don't diferenciate those two sounds so a lot of times its only an regional accent thing. (in my experience, around Ibaraki province the "r" sound happens a lot more =P)

  • the japanese version is really great ( i study japanese) but is still think the dutch version is better. we don't have better lyrics but for some stupid reason the voices carry much more emotion

(this only counts for movie music becuase the rest sucks big time^^)

    de groeten uit tulpenland

  • any version of classical disney songs are great in any language! ^^

  • @MewIchigolove You couldn't be more right. I am amazed about how they always find similar voices for each language.

  • This is my second favorite language. I wish I could learn it but I hear its hard to do. x.x That sucks...it's so pretty to hear.

  • IF U R VEIT OR ASIAN IT SHOULD BE EASY

  • Nope...Im not asian.

  • Very interesting and at least it was pronounced clearly enough that I had no problems understanding it, but I'm a little confused. Is this a clip from the Japanese version of the film or American actors dubbing it? They just have somewhat thick accents...

  • I agree that something sounds wierd about their voices, but trust me, their not amercian actors. They more have somewhat of a chinese accent but since thats not possible they surely are Japanese. ;)

  • I think there are Korean actors dubbing it in Japanese, because the short, staccato vowels aren't as emphasized. I don't think it's a Chinese accent (and even then, do you mean Mandarin, Cantonese, or something else?). I don't know how to describe it, but Korean has that dipping sound deep in the throat. Diphthongs, right? Yes, and the "r" and "l" sounds. Japanese basically has more of the "l" sound, but people don't really differentiate. Koreans don't have trouble with the American "r."

  • Very possible. I said chinese since it reminds me of how a Chinese friend of mine speaks Japanese.

  • Listening to it again I dont think its korean. The koreans I know who speak Japanese have a much heavier R than this. Then again, Im just guessing.

  • Comment removed

  • @Robinsa its japanese.

  • It does sound really non-native to me. I have studied japanese and am studying korean now. I am reluctant to say the accent is korean though. Yes, korean has a few diphthongs, but i am not sure what deep in the throad sound you are referring to.

  • Good I keep listening to this.. whats up with the R's in the video? They sound exactly like Chinese haha =D

  • aladdin's voice is ok

i still like jasmine's voice in english though

  • The guy's voice sounds really hot :D

Really awesome video, thankyou very much.

  • *O*

Beautiful! And the most strange thing is that I understood almost everything ** thank you!

  • i like how the Japanese Aladdin says princess XD

    princess-SU

    XD

  • Aw that was cute, I kept thinking about Ranma½, the japanese voice really suits Aladdin :3

    awesomeness heh =P

  • awesome

  • está bastante buena, la voz es muy parecida a la versión latina (creo que es la misma, porque suena casi igual). Pero me gusta más en español :D

    ---------------------------------------------------

It's pretty good, the voice is very similar to the latin spanish voice (I think it is the same voice, it sounds VERY similar).

But I love more the spanish version :D

  • I don't really like the spanish version for this song just cause the spanish word for world (mundo) doesn't roll with the song really well

  • Mmm.... well, I think you're right.... but I still liking the spanish version XDD

  • LUV IT.=]

  • the voices sound just like the Eglish ones.. save they're speaking Japanese- it's really pretty!

  • This is adorable!

  • Have you noticed that with almost every Disney song in Japanese they always have sekai (world)?

  • I think the same happens in english songs.. ("world")

  • OMG!!! Aladdin sounds the same!! Was it the same person doing the japanese version too?? He sounds great!!! :D

Jasmin sounds close to the english one too! Wow, great voicing for this movie!!

    Thanks for the vid!

  • It's the same with the Genies' song spell??

  • I know right?!?!? lol.. they almost sound exact.....

    they both sound great.... :D

  • I don't think that it is the same person...because in spanish it sounds like in japanese too xD He can't be a multilanguage boy!! I think that they made a casting with voices that sounds like the others =)

  • who knows... lol

That would be pretty cool if he did learn the language just for the movie (or the script, whatever lol) Some voice actors do that so it would be pretty cool if he did.

  • like jackie chan do all the voice casting of the movies in chinese, french, english and spanish versions (and maybe others)... yes it would be cool...

  • Alladin sounds the same as the engliah versoin on this

  • Hm.. I don't know, I think Jasmine has a deeper more sensual voice in most other dubs.

  • oh thats so pretty:) jasmine sounds amazing!!
