I don't know if anybody ever read a bit about Aziza's life, but it says on her website (triple w dot azizashimmy dot com) that she was first introduced to bellydance by a friend (that didn't wanted to go to a bellydance class alone) near 1987.... Is this the same friend??? ...quite a mystery to solve!

Wow...Aziza's song stinks...her dancing is GREAT! The Punk Bellydancer might want to find a more groovy goth tune to use as well, it is too repetitive. Being a Turkish clarinetist and a goth chick I feel qualified to post about the music...
Baby Aziza! Get out of town. Adding this clip to my favorites for sure. Wow, she was fantastic back then, too. I could do without the irritating announcer and superfluous special effects, tho. And what is she dancing to? I love the drama and her interpretation of it...I'm just confused by what it is.
