I was also in a bad head on collision, I actually don't remember impact but I was lucky to come out with a broken leg. there was 5 of us in a 2003 Malibu and hit a ford explorer. Everyone in the back wasn't wearing a seat belt and the kid driving was trying to pass over a hill. I was passenger and the kids in back, well 1 saved the girl in the middle by throwing himself over her and he dislocated hit hip, the other messed up his face, the other car had a young kid in it. Im lucky to be here.

To me, it looks like you were speeding.And your a young guy who is pumped about speed.I looked at the acident scene and theres no way in hell you juss flew of the highway going straight.You had to be going fast and lost control of the car due to in-expirience.Thats how all young guys are...they think they know these things.
Well it's good your ok. Crashed mine as well and went over two sidewalks brought down a fence and ended up in the front of a house bringing down their fence as well.My car was totalled from the front but luckily I was'nt injured in any way.And this all happened because some idiot went onto my lane without looking and it has definitely been an eye opener for me.I am more careful around other cars now.Thanks for sharing this with us and again glad your ok man. People need to learn how to be more responsible with higher HP cars. They aren't toys so why do they treat them this way? I had a turbo Jetta that could keep up with these things and not once did i come close to wrecking it.

My ex-husband and got into a wreck in his srt4 doing about 70 around a 70 degree turn. we have drifted this car and thought it could handle it.. it could have if the truck in the on coming lane hadnt been there. we crash in to a ditch with a concrete drain and landed in some guys front yard. we hit so hard the the fog light couldnt be found. i was in the hospital for 4 days and now have a heart murmor where the seat belt broke my sturnem and bruised my heart. the crash bar saved our lives
I have owned my srt-4 for 8 years now. Bought it brand new in august 2003. It has almost 160000 miles on it. Maintained it and washed it twice a week. Still looks brand new. I have seen many pics of accidents with this car and it is scary. unfortunately many ppl bought this car for an inexpensive price and did not realize the power it had. It does not do well in crashes. Lets face it, this is still the second best race car dodge has built in recent years since the viper. Still tops out at 148!

i barely ever race my srt. but when i do, it's short pulls in a straight line. never weaving through traffic at high speeds or any of that stupid stuff. the car is made to have a little fun so i do but never anything too reckless. sorry this had to happen to you. glad everything turned out okay though.

Nicely done video, it communicates your intent clearly! As a critical care nurse, I have taken care of so many trauma patients and it never changes! Part of of it is the belief that "it will never happen to me", along driving while buzzed or drunk. Reckless driving can have the same impact. I am thankful you have recovered, as so many either die as a result of injury, or are left severely brain injured or in a permanent vegetative state.

damn your parents must be loaded to pay for that facial surgerys and your teeth....i got in a similar accident doing the same dumb thing back in 09...i broke my jaw, most of my teeth(bottom and upper),and was at the hospital for a month....my sister got me emergency medical and thank god that covered my facial and body injuries but it didnt covered my teeth...i got qouted from a orthondontist 40-50 thousand and i went to UCLA and they made me dentures i couldnt afford inplants :(

Should have got a short shift kit and coil overs...then u would of had 754HP and mad torque and it would have bee impossible to crash cause ur SRT-4 would have been a rally car.
My dad has an srt-4 we were going down a long stretch of road once we got to 120 my brother let go of the gas to slow down, the gas stuck and we kept accelerating there was a turn lined with trees up ahead I KNEW all 3 of us were going to die I just stared at the speedometer. Next thing I know I am stepping out of the car with only a cut elbow. Makes 3 teenagers realize how lucky we are. My brother is paying to fix dads car. And to get his own car (EL camino) I found this video shortly after

I've seen this video numerous times, and think as a parent myself. All parents should take note of this as well. Don't buy your kid or even allow them to buy a car that can go anywhere over the speed limit if you don't want this to happen. Kids will be kids and don't always think things through as they have a sense of invincibility. Or if they wanna go fast buy them track packages like they sell at Willow Springs Raceway. The track is safer than the highways, it's proven time and time again.

dude i respect this video a lot and it made me tear up a little bit. it reminded me of my crash i had on June 4th 2011. i was riding my 05 GSXR sports bike and i wrecked it going around a corner at 138mph and luckily im still here to tell the story to. i was in the hospital for rite at 4 weeks and not able to hardly walk for 2 months. somehow im still here and my bike is still mostly here. my birthday is on june 2nd and i bought the bike for myself on that day and 2 days later im lifeflighted.

Well it's good your ok. Crashed mine as well and went over two sidewalks brought down a fence and ended up in the front of a house bringing down their fence as well.My car was totalled from the front but luckily I was'nt injured in any way.And this all happened because some idiot went onto my lane without looking and it has definitely been an eye opener for me.I am more careful around other cars now.Thanks for sharing this with us and again glad your ok man. My ex-husband and got into a wreck in his srt4 doing about 70 around a 70 degree turn. we have drifted this car and thought it could handle it.. it could have if the truck in the on coming lane hadnt been there. we crash in to a ditch with a concrete drain and landed in some guys front yard. we hit so hard the the fog light couldnt be found. i was in the hospital for 4 days and now have a heart murmor where the seat belt broke my sturnem and bruised my heart. the crash bar saved our lives

I have owned my srt-4 for 8 years now. Bought it brand new in august 2003. It has almost 160000 miles on it. Maintained it and washed it twice a week. Still looks brand new. I have seen many pics of accidents with this car and it is scary. unfortunately many ppl bought this car for an inexpensive price and did not realize the power it had. It does not do well in crashes. Lets face it, this is still the second best race car dodge has built in recent years since the viper. Still tops out at 148!

Nicely done video, it communicates your intent clearly! As a critical care nurse, I have taken care of so many trauma patients and it never changes! Part of of it is the belief that "it will never happen to me", along driving while buzzed or drunk. Reckless driving can have the same impact. I am thankful you have recovered, as so many either die as a result of injury, or are left severely brain injured or in a permanent vegetative state.

Doesn't matter what your driving. A wreck like that, and still alive, you're lucky. Street racing isn't something to brag about. Too much chance of someone NOT involved getting hurt. Take it to a track and go as fast as you want. I used to do some racing, but NOT on the street. You wreck at the track, emergency crews are already there, and everyone there knows the risk. Wreck on the street, and they aren't there, and you could take out someone not involved. This should be a warning to everyone.

My dad has an srt-4 we were going down a long stretch of road once we got to 120 my brother let go of the gas to slow down, the gas stuck and we kept accelerating there was a turn lined with trees up ahead I KNEW all 3 of us were going to die I just stared at the speedometer. Next thing I know I am stepping out of the car with only a cut elbow. Makes 3 teenagers realize how lucky we are. My brother is paying to fix dads car. I've seen this video numerous times, and think as a parent myself. All parents should take note of this as well. Don't buy your kid or even allow them to buy a car that can go anywhere over the speed limit if you don't want this to happen. Kids will be kids and don't always think things through as they have a sense of invincibility. Or if they wanna go fast buy them track packages like they sell at Willow Springs Raceway. The track is safer than the highways, it's proven time and time again.

dude i respect this video a lot and it made me tear up a little bit. it reminded me of my crash i had on June 4th 2011. i was riding my 05 GSXR sports bike and i wrecked it going around a corner at 138mph and luckily im still here to tell the story to. i was in the hospital for rite at 4 weeks and not able to hardly walk for 2 months. somehow im still here and my bike is still mostly here. my birthday is on june 2nd and i bought the bike for myself on that day and 2 days later im lifeflighted.

God bless you man. You really showed me what highway racing can turn into. We all know those are some of the most popular videos on youtube. I race on the highway, it's exhilarating, it's not a hassle, and the only thing you pay for is the gas you consumed. I'm happy that you're okay. This should really be played in high schools and other schools alike. It'll change a lot of people mind sets on street racing.
