1xRTT really sucks, I hate Metro for that. However I'm pretty sure their 1xEV-DO network is decent, I'll find out tomorrow. 1xRTT is only like 100 kbps for me, makes me want to shoot somebody.
I forgot to mention that I also have a Samsung Caliber like you. Once 4g comes out in the bay area we will only be able to access it at 3g speeds (which isn't bad) 700kbps is like half the speed of SBC yahoos lowest DSL (1.5mbps).
Yah I went to cnet.com on my phone and did a bandwidth meter test I got 144kbps which isn't bad, faster than 56k modem. It will be nice if we had EV-DO in the SF bay area, we would get 700 kbps. instead of the 1X 144 kbps.
@dkbassbwoy91 Nope but they are planning to have 4G in Las Vegas, That's pretty close so... yeah 4G is way better then 3G. This will be happing in the Summer or End of this year. (Plus New and Improve smarter Phone) that work on the 4G LTE network.
have u ever been on an EV-DO connection with metro and is the speed decent if so and where have u been on an EV connection if at all aka 3g connection
@darriusmcphale Nope I was in my Area there is only 1X Connection which is 2G really. I wish. =[ I live in the Northeast Near Big Cities so you will think they will have it up here.. MetroPCs is doing Really Good with there Phones. Now they need to start getting Better coverage.

@VraiDiouf I get a between 1-2 Mbps on EV-DO Rev. A for Sprint. Metro must use Rev. 0 in the few 3G markets it has.
