  • Jesus christ, I can't believe how fucking awesome his voice was.

  • @metallicarules53 Not just saying this cause im watching this vid, but Layne by far thee best voice in Rock n Roll history.Do you think drugs and a broken heart was why he lost his will to live or was it a combination of other things??

  • WHAT THE FUCK THIS SHIT IS THE BEST!

  • Esta rola resume la filosofìa y el estilo de vida grunge: vivir ràpido y morir joven ¡Al estilo James Dean!

  • 77 likes, and a big fat ZERO on dislike ! I love it

  • This is Layne at his best, and how he should be remembered.

  • Wow ! Layne turned 21 a month earlier. Just a baby he was. ♥

  • a photo from 97 shows layne after the grammy nomination for "AGAIN" he looked happy, but had no meat on his face, had bags under his eyes, and was pale. I'm trying to find a 1999 photo i have heard about.

  • @RamonesSkater4life I saw one of him from 99 where he had long black hair but he didn't look too bad. I can't seem to find it now though.

  • @GotMeWrong1984 If you ever find it, could you please send it to me and pm me ? Thanks.

  • @RamonesSkater4life I've read that he was thinking of recording a solo album at the time. Would've loved to have heard what he might've layed down for that.

  • @GotMeWrong1984 yea. That would have had more success than Jerry's solo career I think. I don't know why it never happened. It would have been great. I am trying to find more photos and i hope to find one. I save them to my computer so i'll never lose them.

  • @RamonesSkater4life I think it was the same reason he didn't get back with AIC (except for the new stuff for Music Bank) he just couldn't get his life straightened out. I think part was the death of his ex-fiance Demri, part his own drug problems, and probably some contract issues as well. Then again who knows :) I'm interested in the same stuff you're looking for, I'll share anything I find with you.

  • @GotMeWrong1984 Great! Yea he pretty much let go wher Demri died. In 96, it was almost or already too far to get clean. His posture and stage presence change. If his father didn't show up when Layne became famous, maybe Layne could be here to this very day. Layne started drugs with his father. It's fucked up that his dad is still alive but Layne had to die. Yea lets share things that are hard to find. I would love to find more photos from his isolation period.

  • @RamonesSkater4life where did you find photo from 99? I would love to see anything hard to reach

  • @RamonesSkater4life Find any photos yet?

  • @GotMeWrong1984 Hey man think you could tell me the bass Mike is using here only see it early live videos and We Die Young music video.

  • @RamonesSkater4life Why can't we just remember him the way he was ?

  • WTF, is Inez already in the band? Sorry fans I can't tell.

By far the most effortless vocal i've witnessed.

I don't care who's playing what (save Cantrell) this destroy's! Period!

  • @strangeinc naw man inez didnt join band till 93

  • @strangeinc No, this was in 1989.

  • This incarnation of the band can never be replicated, but we should still all support the guys for coming back as any good music today will be greatly appreciated. RIP Layne.
