Shockwave 3D Lights Redux

My problem with this software is "keeping the lights on" after I pull up the landing gear. For some reason once the gear comes up....the lights are gone...737-800. I want to keep them lit until FL100 and when descending under FL100 without lowering the landing gear. Did anybody have the same problem? Got a fix?

@SilverS21995 I also had this problem. I turned on FSX and boom. 173 Liveries gone. I freaked just like you did. Now I remember correctly I uninstalled and went back to the original file that the software backed up for me. Then I moved that file to my desktop. I then installed the Shockwave software again. But this time I copied and pastied the aircraft.cfg planes into the new aircraft.cfg file that included Shockwave. It worked just fine cause the data was still there.

purchased this and got screwed lost all my repaints and cant place any textures in my fsx folder but i can say this is a cracking really. well worth the money. but on the downside slave away and try to find words that say. fucking great but all my work on fsx is truely fucked. this is great but remember to back up your files prior to installing. .

It would be awesome if it replaced every single landing/taxi lights. It only replaces the lights on the default planes, not addons.

@Shmaaaaa That would be very hard to do. They would have to document every single plane that has ever been made for FS10. You can add the lights onto your addon planes, though.

Check for instructions on how to recover the software in the e-mails sent to you by the seller when you bought the software. They will probably have a way to hook you up.

it works on add on's. read the manual and it explains how to do it. you have to add it each plane you want it to work on. it's great

Another flaw that I found is that the Landing lights cannot switched on when the landing gear is up. It's very annoying not to be able to illuminate the skies in front of you while under 10,000 feet.

Landing light is just that mate a landing light, you need flood at height so your visable over a wider angle.

Under carriage being retracted is irrelevant as many Aircraft have their Landing lights fixed to the Gear.

To be honest, this is COOL !!!

But there are several flaws.

The most important thing is the tail light. In FS2004 it is clear that the tail light illuminates the tail that made the airline logo clearly visible. In FSX however, the lighting just made the tail glow bright while covering the airline logo in bright light. So in FSX the lighting hides the logo making it hard to see...

I don't see any improvement here...Maybe you should improve it..Other than that, quite allright.

Again this depends on the Airline and the Aircraft as many do not have tail Logo illumination in the Sim or in real life but many do, this may be a constraint of how FSX and FS2004 place and handle light textures and effects.

Some have no more than a clear white light with AC Strobe in some cases/

If you've got the money (i believe it's about 15 bucks?) then this mod (and especially the accu-sim B377) are WELL worth the money. They make FSX and related so much more awesome.
