If I eat 3 snickers bars, two ho-ho's, a bag of pig rinds, an entire pecan pie and 4 twinkies....Then the next day I eat a 2 pieces of celery, one bite of a rice cake and half a diet pepsi, will I cancel out the other foods? I need to lose 50 pounds in the next couple weeks and need help now!

  • @BodyPerformanceTV doesn't depend on size, workout and diet. i've lost 20 pounds in a 2 week period. in the last year i've gone from 420-309 as of today with a couple stalemate months in between.

  • @BodyPerformanceTV, I don't eat breakfast and I eat deli sandwich's for lunch and maybe another deli sandwich for dinner or maybe some seared chicken breast and some vegetables, and then I run 3-4 miles everyday and lift weights, I have lost 20 lbs in one month, so yes this possible

  • @stoney316 Yes you can just start fasting and you will lose on average 2-3 pounds per day....after the glucose and the stored glucose is all gone it will burn body fat for energy and survival...although when you start eating again your more than likely to gain alot of that weight back...not very healthy but if you want to lose weight quickly just dont eat anything for a week

  • No wonder why my weight itself is barely going down because I didn't exercise after finish eating my meals... So, I have to exercise everyday after I eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

    Like, after I eat, I have to take a break for few minutes, and then start exercising to burn calories. Therefore, my weight should definitely go down. Afterwards, I should now be in good shape and be happy.

  • From today I'm going to do 8 rounds of lunges push ups and jumping jacks in the moring followed in the afternoon by 10 sets of 100 jumping ropes I plan on eating about 1200 calories per day do you still think I will drop that pound per week I have gained around 15 pounds and alot of weight on my upper body this is why I want to do this to get some fat off

  • im starting to finally get the concept of maintaining a good workout plan from watching you videos.im 27 and been working out since i was 17.only thing id say im having trouble with is id rather be lean and muscular at a higher weight, like around 230 lbs instead of only 175lbs..i see bodybuilders are lean,no body fat big n buff at around 250lbs or so. and i try that and it just dont even out. what the secret 2 that/???

  • @cuteguysocal Lots of these guys take drugs. But one way of doing it is train hard and heavy on a consistent basis and watching your total calorie intake.

  • I am watching your videos tonight looking for help but I am over 400 lbs with bad knees can you recommend some other cardio other then walking. I have been cutting my food intake for about a week and I think I have lost a small amount of weight but I do not have a scale the goes over 300 lbs to conferm this. I will walk on days that my knees and feet are not hurting from the stress this weight puts on them, but what can I do on the days when my feet and knees hurt badly?

  • @big4x4mudder If you had a bike of any kind that would help to. BUT being 400 pounds if you just cut your calories to 2000-2200 THAT would cause a lot of weight loss. And when you get hungry eat lots of fruit. You can NEVER gain weight eating fruit.

  • wow, i am so careful about brushing my teeth and changing my underwear, etc. but have i ever really stuck to creating a calorie deficit for days on end? had to say "no." so true, you just gotta stick to it so that you don't have to ask yourself anymore; it will show up in weight loss... :) love this guy

  • over the years i've become disillusioned. i switched from semi skimmed to skimmed milk years ago, i use sweeteners instead of sugar most times, stopped buying buscuits years ago (i'll eat the whole packet), i stopped having the bags of sweets and chocolates a day since the beginning of the year and i exercise up to 4 or 5 times a week of aerobics and circuit training and yet i am now at one of my heaviest weights. What's going wrong? ps i do binge at times

  • Steve, you are forgetting one critical thing when you add up these calorie deficits. That thing is the very fact that when you lose weight, your metabolism decreases. Weight loss does not occur in a linear fashion. I would argue that after 10 pounds of weight loss, you will need to create a larger calorie deficit in order to maintain the same speed of weight loss.

  • @TheRealityJunkie That's a broad, incorrect generalization. Lower weight, lower blood pressure, more oxygen available, better circulation, more active, and so on. Also, this is where being active and exercising comes in as well.

  • I'v viewed a whole bunch of these videos, and i gotta give it to Steve: there is no nonsense advice. Just simple, sound, good advice that if followed gets you natural results. No need for any ridiculous exercise programs they sell on TVs or any disgusting diets. Following these principles, as well as some of my other prior knowledge, i'v lost 20 lbs since March. And all along i had my steak, burgers, fries, ice cream, occasional cake. I try to tell people its not that bad, but they don't listen.

  • This is a good video, Steve. Some people just don't have the motivation or desire to engage in some form of intensive exercise, and this shows that even a mild program can be effective for weight loss. I go to the gym at least 2X per week, and despite pushing myself as hard as I can, I lost weight more rapidly during a period some years ago when all I did was daily walking.

  • during my high school days I lost 25 lbs for a duration of about 60 days. I forgot it but I remembered its 2 months (summer vacation)... I accomplished that with very intensive diet to the extent that I only use the toilet bowl once every two days, I almost got ulcer. and.... tada!!!! skateboarding..... since I am not always home skating around the village, I usually skip meals and forgot to eat. since I became addicted with spotting around simple "obstacs".But that made me look pale....

I eat 100cals less per meal which =300less cals per day, and I add 1mile a day=100less calories, then the total is 400cals subtracted from my 1200cals allowed, which will equal 800cals. So then, that will make me lose weight? or how many less calories am I supposed to burn from 1200 to lose weight?

  • Yes, that's right! That depends on how fast you want to lose weight. 500 less calories a day and after 7 days you will lose 1 pound.

  • well, when you go to sleep, your body slows it metabolism. so if you would burn all that meal off while awake, you wont but it off when your sleeping because it stays in your body longer, letting you body take in the fat, so its better to eat your meals in the day. but some people say eating some cucumber before you go to bed will help u keep the metabolism going better through the night

  • I do a mixture of walking/running, then elliptical, and then I run actual stairs at the gym. I do about an hour 3 days a week, and about 30min 2 days a week. I also really try to watch what I eat during the week, keeping Sundays for myself. In a year I've lost about 45lbs of fat.
