No the OLF flag is not the real flag, that was created in the seventies, this flag black, red and white is the tradional oromo flag. There was some kind of meaning to it, i think the black is for the past our elders, the red all our bloodshed and present, and the white our future. Ask an Oromo elder, most likely they would know the meanings of the flag better then i do.

funny tho I had an argument with someone who said the exact thing.

I told him that We Oromo had the Black, Red and White flag for thousands of years. and actually we even lost power over Ethiopia In 1889 under the Black, Red and White flag.
