Hi Have sent this video as Christmas Greetings to people I know. Still working on playing it. My box working alright now (without Gleichton though) although some few reeds are making a noice. Think the reeds are vibrating. We put more wax to fasten. Next year we hope to present some Swedish tunes here.
Got back my box today. Now the buttons are equal to a normal box. However the chords are not exactly. E.g.the F is not exactly the same in and out. The Am I am not sure about..must test more. Maybe this was simpler than to learn with the Gleichton... The tuning is exactly the same..somewhtat low..this is good.I have also an Erica CF but this box is more fun. Rgds Per
Hi! Maybe you think I should keep the ¨Gleichton¨ as weel. Maybe I could learn to play with...In additon on my box there is a third row I think of halftones which are anyway lacking at h normal place..the top buttons.
Very well played..I have plyed this tune so many times..however always to fast. Now I bought a similar box..Hohner Club ll..hope to be able to play it as weel as you. Thanks for this piece!!
@hohnerclub Taking this opportunity to ask about yr box. I bought mine very cheap but I liked the sound of it. However I noticed that the buttons were not exactly those of a modern box...Thus at the inner row there was one button which was not diatonic but the same tone in as out. Also the highest button at he outer row was different. The box was low in tuning...A at some 438Hz or so. Now I have decided to change the buttons but ot keep the tuning. You think the right decision??
@poorust the "non" diatonic key is called a "Gleichton", you will find that scheme in every Club or steirische accordion - and - in the modern folk accordions, so this system is not even that unmodern....see the schemes here: members.yline.com/~arizona/harmonika/index_diskant_333_club.htm I think you are right to keep the tuning
Nicely playes. Just the tune for Xmas.
