And... aren't all *spending* bills supposed to originate in the House? My understanding is that this bill is a shell drawn up by the Senate, which in its real form did not originate in, or been voted on by, the House. So, essentially, it is a spending bill the House did not create and will never actually vote on in its entirety. Correct me if I am wrong.

In any event, I suspect this bill will cost both the House and Senate Democrats huge vote losses in the next few years.

You claim to value logic, yet you misrepresent Pelosi's words. There should be nothing controversial about what she said. People ARE misinformed. This misinformation will diminish if the bill becomes law. What is the problem with acknowledging this, whether or not you agree with the politics?

Of those 60 votes the Senate previously had, just how many of them were through known & unknown bribes & pork? & don't forget Obama's baseball on new Congressmen
