  • so powerful that killed de dummy :/

  • to be honest, I can only "see" a push here, no explotion of energy or something. Or perhaps she just starting to train this..?

  • Having troubles getting the link right. Search on youtube for Chinaboxer's No Inch Punch. That's the one.

  • This isn't a criticism of your way of doing things, but if you use internal aspects from here, you'll be able to get higher output with less muscle use.

    youtube.com/watch?v=outSxWcsmdU&list=PL1BDBEB8DACAFF4A1&index=13&feature=plpp_video

  • I'd rather say that's a 1-inch punch as you start with your top knuckle forward, a zero in my opinion would be a palm flat against someone's chest or vice-versa with a fist. But great video anyways :)

  • @Arbiter1231 Thank you!

  • @Arbiter1231 How about no distance at all, you just press your first and move your hips kinetic force all the way through all those bones up to the arm where 75% of the energy dissapears and u get a sissy punch.

  • COOL ! Victoria, I would love to be you punch test dummy, LOL.

  • @Wilsontk Thank you :)

  • eu adoro jeet kune doo essas pessoas ai mandan muinto bem

  • @seensualie Muito obrigada!

  • Everyone has an opinion, Victoria. Just keep doing what you do best. Opinions are dime a dozen.

  • @TheCoastalPirate Thank you!

  • check this video out and you will understand what type of tool im talking about.

    youtube.com/watch?v=D7qR8NMLs3s

  • @Jpirani00 There is no video here

  • extremely decreasing the damage done when the move is at its finish point(highest power). The targets body would end up matching the momentum from the initial shove. Good Luck if you can bend newtons law though. No disrespect intended.

  • @Jpirani00 With regards to Newton's law and shoving versus damaging, you are not taking into consideration that the human body compresses, and therefore, compression (shock) caused by the zero inch punch can still cause injury and breaking bones without shoving (pushing). You can learn with my sifu at JeetKuneDoUniversity(DOT)com

  • When you practice the movement with this tool, the rings will make one sound not several clanging sounds. It should be an effective form to take breath away if applied to the solar plexus but not do any real damage without the initial inch you are taking away. The speed you would need to induce would not be able to manifest itself with that kind of restriction at the start of its movement. Reason being, you would push your target away and send him in a backwards motion which would end up

  • Some advice for you that i think would help. go to n imovible/front stance. bear down almost to a horsestance but keep your front stance form. drop your elbow to the ground about 6-8 inches, so when you are on your target your wrist is bent slightly but flush with his chest. Then at the peak of your stance snap your wrist in unison with your elbow and most importantly your shoulder. A good tool would be a small five lb curl bar with two small rings at the end and bracers 4 inches apart

  • @Jpirani00 Thanks for the suggestions, but that would completely change my structure into something that is not very much like Bruce Lee's Zero Inch Punch. What I am practicing here is JKD based, so your suggestions don't apply in this context and they require too much preparation and preloading, which is counter with the JKD philosophy. This punch is about generating power with the body almost fully extended. You can learn with my sifu at JeetKuneDoUniversity(DOT)com

  • I wouldn't mind getting one inch punched and kicked in the groin by her...

  • now try breaking planks with that to make sure you arent pushing

  • @rekcufeht Thanks! I did that too.

  • The core principle as the comment above states really is this; Put your core into your limb's movements. You can train like that. a.k.a. the Stahara, or Shtara (or Lower abdomen in English). By the way you are hot, hermosa. Nice legs too. :))))

  • I learned the one inch punch while studying TKD...I would want a woman to do this to me (I'm a man), I used to "like" being punched and kicked by them, so I could feel their power going into me :)

  • oh sexy !

  • the punch has no space for momentum, i will just suppose you're just practicing that to make your one inch punch much more easier to perform.

  • Qué cuerpo! wow!

  • @ale7973 Gracias :o)

  • wow and now ?

  • i could do a -1 inch punch

  • you're always so hot Vic ^_^ still haven't sparred with you yet

  • @FaridYM Thank you Farid :o)

  • i try to manipulate the weight of my body in a way that it transfers as much momentum from all over my body into my fist or shins.

that is the core principle of most martial arts

  • @student135 Thank you for sharing that :)

  • The techiques secret is that most of the power is concentreted in your hand and the body is used as suport and also for the speed of the punch itself(that depends on the user though).I cant really tell exactly how you did it.But that was very good!!!Well good luck with mastering it!!!

  • @MJohndbz Thank you :) And thank you for sharing :)

  • Are you sure this is a zero inch punch? .. Your index finger's knuckle is making contact which is zero inch distance but the actual punch contact is made from the last 3 knuckles of the hand .. which here are at a distance from the punching target? ... I would of thought a zero inch punch would be the whole fist in contact with the target. Good video though, impressive!:D

  • @Amylouthomas Thank you! That's how I was taught!

  • @Amylouthomas Right! Then a zero punch would be a push.

  • @MegaSmud Actually, a "zero-inch punch", if literal, BY DEFINITION, would be only a push!

Which is what this girl is mostly doing here, pushing him, a little.

  • @RonQE Thank you! I'm glad at least one person isn't a moron here.

  • @RonQE Yeah, she is pretty much just pushing and not really creating any impact. And her power is not going into the target due to a very basic technical mistake. But a proper zero inch punch can be pretty hard and create an impact if you know how to put every square inch of your bodyweight into the punch. It's like a spiralling movement which your opponent feels inside as you just twist your entire body into the punch & you can tell by your partner's reaction/response if it's a push/strike.

  • @wrey12 Problem is, by DEFINITION, a zero-inch punch is a "push". It can't have any impact, as there is no movement or momentum built up at all before impact.

Now, sure, there can be a little speed built up during the compression of the tissues, but that is a technicality. Also, what she is doing in the video isn't "zero inch" at all.

The one-inch punch is impressive since the 1" is used to generate enough speed to actually have a notable impact. It requires incredible fast-twitch.

  • @Amylouthomas THATS WHAT IM TRYING TO SAY, but no one listens to me =.=, they are all just trying to surpass bruce lee's famous 1 inch punch CAUGHT ON TAPE!!!

  • hmm my friend if you lean forward this way are you not concerned that your balance will be destroyed? I see people all giving you tips and hope you dont mind if I share soem thoughts as well? If your arm was not fully extended when impact it would be more powerful. I suspect you know that already, but also I was thinking about something someone said to me when learning Short range power "careful not to make it a push. If the person moves back then alot of your force is not absorbed into them."

  • Vicious lol

  • i dont know what she is doing , but it is sexy

  • @trekranger Thank you :)

  • but..it looked like a good punch anyway..

  • @kiekert2007 Thanks!

  • I think that you can get more power out of this technique if you widen your stance a tad as you push. because your body was pushed back as you punch him.(loss of energy) if you can alter your stance to compensate for that loss of energy you'll get more power out of it. maybe use your backleg to push off along with your punch and keep all your force and weight going forward. you have to use muscle power to compensate for your lack of weight. .I agree with olmazay49

  • @kiekert2007 I think I can improve by putting my weight a little more forward to compensate for my partners weight and the uphill terrain. Push off more than I did sounds good too. Wider stance, not sure. The hip, I did it, as I was mentioning to olmazay49 Thanks :)

  • Good, Victoria! Good punch. And as always you look fabulous in whatever you wear.

  • @RemoSC49 Thank you :)))

  • You do that very effectively, these days all women need to know self defense.

  • @YoungMaster97 Thank you!

  • I've heard of the one inch punch, but wouldn't zero inches be more of a push rather than a punch? none the less still great.

  • @Partyywizard Hmmm, good point. It is called like that. Perhaps because it is with a closed fist and because it is derived from a punch.

  • Very well done!

  • @PsionicX1 Thank you :))))

  • Very good! I can feel the energy, you are skillfull. Keep up the good job:)

  • @KaynJudas Thank you!!!!

  • you 1 inch punch him, he flew back, hahahaha, nice one.

  • @Frienever Thanks!!!!

  • Nice Victoria thats some serious power you have looks good Bruce would be proud

  • @VanDamme11 Thank you very much Shinobi for your appreciation ^_^

  • Awesome punch!

  • @SGVJKD Thank you :)))

  • It's Bruce Lee's famous one inch punch you need to practice and put more of your hip and ALOT less shoulder movement to maximum results... bruce focused his energy from below and transformed it to the "target" with his famous one inch punch..

  • @olmazey49 It is the zero inch punch. Similar to Bruce Lee's one inch punch :) I did put my hip into it. You actually need to move the shoulder to execute the punch. Which martial arts did you practice Olmazey? Take care. V

  • @victoriavives he's just a youtube martial artist don't worry about him haha

  • @Tuff22 Thank you :)

  • @victoriavives no problem. and i would end this comment with a flattering borderline flirtatious statement-lol- but i have respect for your marriage, husband and teacher of him. keep doing what you guys are doing and dont pay attention to all the youtube guru know-it-alls lol..oh ya and Fists of Fury was one of the best films!

    Peace.

  • @victoriavives sorry victoria I did not mean to imply you were not good at the technique, only remembering Bruce's teachings from his JKD book that the hip is as important as anything for more powerful punching...you look like a very good martial artist and should be proud of your accomplishments. I practised JKD back in the 80's 90's but have not done much since then. I am sorry if I made you feel inadequate at your technique. And please accept my apologies.

  • @olmazey49 Thank you for your kind comment :) I watched the video again. If you follow the white line in my shorts, you will see how it moves. My hip is moving. You can actually see a white brand logo in the shorts appear in the video in the other side because of this movement. That is why I didn't understand what you mentioned about the hip. I just started with this punch, so I don't expect to be perfect at it, but I think that the hip is good. Good to know that you were in JKD too! AWESOME :)

  • @victoriavives Very powerful even with a zero inch punch. Imagine if she really went full force right in the stomach. She'd kill people!

  • @olmazey49 My friend, that is an excellent zero inch punch. Keep in mind also that Victoria is punching someone significantly larger and at a slight uphill grade.

Although you cannot see Victoria's feet, she is putting plenty of hip into the punch. Also, if you notice, her shoulder and arm are nearly fully extended into the punch. She is recruiting her back and core, not the shoulder, for extra power.
