I *LOVE* this movie! You really have to see the film to get the whole weight of the scene, but it's just wonderful.

The scene kind of is out of pace with the movie--almost sensational. I rented the movie for this scene. I felt the movie was OK, but not THAT great! I liked the scene where she is brushing her teeth... kind of a rare treat to see Bette doing something so mundane! Another movie I made... her brushing her teeth.

they had to redo that scene 9 times!!! and bette almost killed her in each take because she was so fed up with mariam's back stabbing and 'scene stealing' tricks!!! GOD!! BETTE HATED THAT WOMAN!
