    -Gregg

  • Another nice review Danny :D Thanks for sharing :D

    Cheers,

    Paulo

  • @mleyh67

I absolutely love blends like this during the fall season. If only it would last longer than it does.

    Thanks for watching!

  • Good review.

  • @MrSmokeGuy

Thanks and thank you for watching!

  • Thanks for the review! I haven't tried this one yet, but I'm sure it's in my cross hairs. - Jeff

  • @StogieFarts

It's definitely one to try. Thanks for watching!

  • Sounds like a nice baccy, will give it a go.

  • @Pipescratch

Be aware not to smoke it on an empty stomach though....it can pack a nicotine punch.

    Thank you for watching!

  • Interesting. According to the clock on your wall it took you about 15 minutes of real time to make this video. I wish I was as good at editing my vids. Appreciate the review of Odyssey.

    -Doug

  • @Teewinot2

Fifteen minutes of real time is actually pretty good for me. Some videos it can take me up to forty five minutes. I usually go off on too many tangents for me to keep the video relevant to my initial topic.

    Many thanks for watching!

  • that sounds like a good blend

  • @sik304s

It is indeed. Many thanks for watching!

  • Good to see you again! And no! Make more videos please XD. And by any chance, have you ever tried GL Pease Meridian?

  • @SamuraiPirate88

No I have not. I will....only if you do a tobacco review of it in the style of how you did the smoothie tutorial. :)

    Thanks for watching!

  • @pipethought haha that is a difficult task but I think I just might. And the technical term defined from Dr. Bruno himself, it is a Banana Milkshake!

  • hey man check out my vids

by the way great vids and helpful reviews

  • @CarolinaPipeSmoker

I've checked your vids out and subbed. Thanks for watching, and welcome to the pipe smoking community!

  • Good review. Like the description of the tobacco flavor. Nice pipe, too. And it's fascinating to hear your pronunciation of Latakia. I almost always hear it the other way, but have recently been hearing it pronounced the way you do.

  • @TheUrbanSquirrel

You know...I looked it up after I read your comment yesterday and heard it pronounced Lah-Tah-KEE-Ah, with the emphasis on the "KEE"; as opposed to Lah-TAH-Kee-Ah with the emphasis on TAH. So, actually I'm wrong. I'll have to address it in my next video.

lol OH well, it was fun saying it my way. :p

    Thanks for watching!

  • Good to see you and good review!

    -Matthew

  • @bahumutx

Thanks man and thanks for watching!

  • sounds like one to try! thanks for the great video. happy puffing!

  • Hey good to see you back! Thanks for the good review!

  • @HolySmokeNPipePadre

Thank you kindly and many thanks for watching!

  • yep, it's tuesday. hey, i am grateful to you for your memory techinque. i missed a rehearsal yesterday, i didn't know that there was one. then i got atext this afternoon from last night. ouch. i had no idea.

GL Pease always has that standard flavor, strong! i may have to check this out soon. i like their latakia blends. but, i think you've hit it right by aging it.

  • @NorthGeorgiaPipe

I hope all is ok by you missing that rehearsal by now. It's amazing how many different techniques there are to memorize things. Btw, when is your performance again?

    Thanks for watching!

  • @pipethought it's ok. they really didn't clarify that date and the calendar was confusing. itll be the second half of october. come on up if you feel like taking a ride to Chatt. i'll smoke a pipe with you after. L)

    Cheers

    ~

  • @NorthGeorgiaPipe

I'd love to go up there. I hope my schedule will allow it though. Is there a date set for the play?

  • I call Odyssey lush! So silky isn't too far from that. It is a beautiful blend. I hear that most Pease blends to better with a bit of age on them and your right on with this one. Good to see you Danny. Hope to see another vid sooner than later.

    Cheers,

    James

  • @astroman2112

I've read the same thing regarding Pease blends. Perhaps if he were to age them first, then sell them...well, he'd probably charge more for them. lol

    Many thanks for watching!

  • It's always good to see you, Danny, don't take very long to do another vid. I've been smoking some EMP and Standard Mixture with 2 years of age (unopened) and find a noticiable, yet not dramatic, change for better.

    Cheers

    G.

  • @RequiemPipes

Interesting. Perhaps the initial amount of Latakia in the mixture will determine the intensity of the change. But better never-the-less. Thanks for your input and many thanks for watching!

  • @pipethought I guess the aging benefit's resultsof the virginia's sweetening. The latakias, being fired cure and exposed to no oxydization, should remain the same for many years. Just my guess...

All the best, my cool friend,

    Cheers

    G.

  • Good to see you again...Hope you make more vids soon. cheers.

  • @Briartim

I hope to do the same soon. Thanks for watching!

  • Please don't make videos less often; its just some newbies who just found you! :-)

  • @bcati1

    lol

ok, I'll stick to my video making frequency as is...or maybe I'll do them slightly more frequently.

    Either way, thanks for watching!

  • hey there my friend.....

    long time no see.....

    hope alls well partner!

  • @MrBlink182ishi

Thank you kindly and thanks for watching!

  • Hi Danny,

Only experience I have with 'aging' a Latakia blend was my first tin of Old Dublin. I did not like it fresh so I put the lid back and forgot about it for 6 months or so. When I came beck to it the tobacco had mellowed out considerably and turned into a fantastic smoke... or it could be that my palate had changed over time. :) Either way, it worked out fine.

    Best,

    - Mike

  • @Flieger671

Yet another case where aging a Latakia blend improved it. Thinking of an interesting fact I learned a while back, which stated that your body replaces all of its atoms every 7 years or so, makes me wonder if your palate could change as quickly as 6 months. I'm inclined to think that the tobacco had more of a significant change than your palate...but I'm no expert. Just thinking out loud...well, I guess typing "out loud". lol

Anyways, as always, thank you for watching!

  • Great Video , keep them coming

  • @voodootsk

Thanks and thank you for watching!

  • HOPE U have a GREAT Tues.! Good review!

  • @jerryspipe

You are too kind. Thank you and as always, thanks for watching!
