F**ck, I'm pissed that so many ppl think it's theirs.. It's Lalo Shifrin who composed the theme!! It's just a pretty straightforward cover by U2 dudes, nothing special. Like if I play my shitty version of Mozart it doesn't make me a great composer

@pavelcheshev Yes, Lalo did write the original theme. However, Adam and Larry re-interpreted it with the help of U2 producer Brian Eno, they gave it a more electronic sound. This version was used in the movies, and Lalo's version was used on the TV show.

The Music was great and yes Lalo Schifrin did compose the original theme, but also, Tom Cruise is a legend on Top Gun, Risky Business and others, but I hate to say it, but when it comes to Mission: Impossible, Tom Cruise cannot match wits with the late Peter Graves, as a matter of fact, I heard that Graves and Greg Morris weren't happy w/the film and I wonder how their fellow M:I co-stars Martin Landau, Barbara Bain, Leonard Nimoy, Lesley Ann Warren and Peter Lupas thought on the movie as well?
