I love Blackmore and Gillan but I have long waited to see this documentary of the 'last' Deep Purple Tour. Sex, Drugs, Arrests a Murder...its quite the juicy ending plus the rare live footage of Tommy Bolin.

Why only 30 minutes of concert???? DP played more songs that night and also those 30 minutes were available long time ago in bootleg,I downloaded in 2007 from emule,anyway this new dvd still looks good,I think I will buy it in ebay

@folladordeprostis well the footage is restored and more clearer, as for the 30 minutes - i think that they simply didnt record the rest of the concert on film (im not sure trough).

The gig was never released because Tommy Bolin could barely play that night. His left hand was totally numb because he'd slept on his arm for eight hours in the plane to the gig. This is revealed in the documentary and obvious when you watch dp play 5 songs with a paralyzed guitarist. If you're a John Lord fan you're gonna love this show... Interview with Lord & Hughes+ rare footage are OK but the fact Coverdale & Paice aren"t there to tell their story is a bit of a rip-off if you ask me.
