从第一届的Astro新秀大赛我都不会想看，每次看了几分钟就转­台了。因为我无法认同与享受听评审评语。我以为只有我不喜欢看，­后来发现到原来有很多个和我一样有学唱歌的都很不喜欢看这个节目­。参赛者的质量，好的没有几个，根本没有一届是让我想看下去的。­因为这个节目真的很烂，很多届以来已经印证了，有几届的第二名到­了国外比赛都拿第一名。。。

其实她当时的歌唱技巧真的没那么的纯熟。她很会把歌声放出去，但­做不到收敛的部分。显然她在星光学了这点，也让她赢得更多的掌声­与支持。当然，Astro当时的比赛制度还真的让人不解，非常商­业化。但都事过境迁，不必在追究了。

换另一个角度来看，当初的挫折才能造就今天成功的她。如果当初她­赢了Astro，她可能就不会参加星光了。

This female judge really is the only one who judged professionally and not base on emotions or favoritism but base on singing quality, stage performance and proper dressing and she said Jia Wei is really great and the only one who can sing live so beautifully. Kudos to this lady judge~she was spot on!!! Jia Wei later became the Million Stars Avenue 7 Champion and now known internationally.

Do u all know how well she performed this song "Izinkan"? I,ve recommended tis & Xing Guang's "Gemilang" clip to many of my Malay frens. Excellent...was their response! They r even more impressed with "Gemilang"! Jess is one of the most VERSATILE singer I ve seen. I really do not wish to belittle our local judges here, but I wonder if this the reason that many of our talented local singer(Chinese i meant) prefer to showcase their real talent elsewhere. Hmm.......What a SHAME!

I would say, luckily she was out in this competition! Otherwise, she won't be recognise in Sing Kwang Da Tau! And she won the competition in Sing Kwang, which is must better, better future and well recognition now in taiwan and in malaysia. Better than anyone else who won this competition or even in malaysian idol....she definitely has an eyes for God who gave her so much of test and she nailed it to in the end, she deserved to be the champion in Sing Kwang Da Tau!!
