  • Is that a cutting board?! Are we cooking here?

  • ...I see what you did there.

  • You are so crazy, man. :o

  • Very interesting set-up! have you tried without puting the diffuser on the actual flash? I think it will give you a lot more light. Thanks for sharing this fantastic video and images

  • Brilliant setup. And ya, pretty self explanatory.

  • What lens do you use?

  • @Thomas20271 In this video Tamron 180/3.5 Macro.

  • Kitaro?

  • good) Clean job)

  • Why is it that half the photography videos out there, people refuse to talk? I learned nothing. How was it made, how does it work, etc. TALK PEOPLE!!!

  • @MonkeyManBlues Can I talk in my native czech language, will it be ok with you? :)

  • @player1CR Works for me!

  • @player1CR Klidně mě by to nevadilo :D

  • @Laqoqos A na co reagujes?

  • @MonkeyManBlues

To me, the video was pretty self explainatory.

  • Do you really need a diffuser for macro ?

  • @tekhiun When I shoot with a flashlight, then yes, I do.

  • That's a great idea! Thanks for sharing :-)

  • Title should be "Showing off" not DIY.

  • @badgermost That difusor is made by myself, hence DIY - just for inspiration.

  • @badgermost hahaha!

  • I agree that this is in the D.I.Y section :) great work i like that. Looks verry easy to use. Alot less bulky then my rigg :D im using heavy flex arms to hold my flashes :)

  • what lens is that

  • @ashtonwentworth1 It's Tamron 180/3,5.

  • The idea is nice but no need for teh difusor on the flash itself just get the flashtube as close as possible to the concentration lens of your flash

  • Who do you do it?

  • @starDEVIL666 I did it by myself, if that's your question.

  • Great video and solution!

  • thank you.

  • Can I ask how you made these? (parts, instructions, etc...)?

  • My english is limited, so it will not be easy:)

I used a large board from translucent PVC.There is a factory for this kind of PVC in our town.

So if you can get some kind of this PVC, than you just need to cut it out for your purpose, let us say for your photo equipment.I mounted it on the tripod holder on the lens, so there is a hollow for screw, which I used for secure the PVC board.

  • You can also just use only one piece of PVC board and hold it in your hand in front of the flashlight, but if you have heavy gear, it's better to mount it somehow on the lens and use your hand to support the lens, so you can eventually focus manually.
