  • Has anyone heard this bassline, or one very similar to it, somewhere else? Been drivin me crazy trying to figure it out

  • @neuromancerGirl Linkin park - when they come for me ?

  • i used this as the background music for my literature project

the teacher just gave me a stare...

    HAHA lov it!

  • last of the mohicans.

  • this is my tap song!! its a great song...

  • this song was actually made electronically using samples from way back in the day when they used real instruments and hand claps. hip hop was started and will finish on the same note; but consistently evolves it's sound. saying you don't like most "rap" is saying you don't like most of modern music since the 80's cuz it's pretty much how anyone produces and mixes tracks, even rock.

  • awsome

  • Just makes me wanna dance! Awesome!

  • sounds better then the new shit

  • anyone got a bootleg or sumtin' of that killa-beat????

  • Wahnsinns SONG!!!

    Thats crazy ;-)!

  • I'm just now getting interested in Mos Def after friend recommended him to me. Coincidentally, PBS had his show on Austin City Limits on today. He's a very mature, socially-conscious, and gifted musician. He's a sincere musician as well. He plays the drums well, and he shows restraint in this as well as his vocal delivery. Finally, towards the end of ACL, he played this song. Brilliant. He's similar to Nas in that their music is atmospheric, ethereal, jazzy, and BRILLIANT.

  • best song ever

  • Absolutrly sick but why not many views lol?????

  • Fabulous from beginning to end!

  • I don't really like most rap, but I do like this style- made with real instruments, not all done electronically. I like the sparse sound making every bit count.

  • @CMalburn what is sold to you as rap or hip hop these days is pop and nothing less.

  • yo thank god for mos def. hiphop!

  • @forza599 U aint lyin...and Talib Kwali, KRS, and Nas. My first HipHop concert was Stetsosonic, Fresh Prince and Jazzy Jeff (who is one of the best dj's ever), Public Enemy and Run-DMC in 1988 in Miami...Changed my life forever!

  • It reminds me of will smith's switch. The beat at least.

  • i like how this song is offbeat. I like the drum is offbeat

  • @deidararules23 its just syncopated. the drum is the beat

  • Real hip hop lives on in these dark ages of rap.
