Maybe the reason the sexual tension goes away is as soon as the characters get together they stop having sex on the show. If a couple is hot for each other they try to get some loving as much as possible. Most shows let the couple have sex then nothing else happens.

What's the deal with Emile Deschanel; is she slightly retarded (seriously)? I've only seen one full episode but caught bits of Bones about four times and she's the most socially-retarded actress or character I've seen. And, why does she talk with that annoying "hitch?"
