Blu sucks. After becoming thoroughly enraged at the NEW blu ecigs I threw the junk away. I should have returned it to Walgreens but I was so mad I just didn't even want to look at it anymore. They don't sell blank carts, which sucks. You can pop off the top and add your own juice, but you'll get one good hit then it'll stop producing vapor and it'll burn through the juice in no time. It gets hot, too! Junk. Plus, you need to constantly recharge - battery has no life. Not convenient at all.
The disposables kick ass and for all who complain you could always go back to the gum and patches or chantix with the awesome chance of horrible side effects
The bought the blu a couple years ago, used it for about a week, and went back to regular cigs. The blus are terrible; the batteries are garbage. After light use, I now only get about 15 puffs out of a charge. My one battery stopped functioning completely.
I'm awaiting my Volcano Magma kit because of FieldOfVapor's review. The batteries are supposedly manufactured independently from the company making the Blu garbage batteries, so I expect much, much better performance.
@jschmidty89 I've been using it with the new cartomizers as well... also, I remember waiting about 2-3 weeks for the starter kit to arrive. The indicators on the chargers are difficult to decipher as well.
Basically, it worked with mediocrity for about a month or two and crapped out.

hey, i found this e-cig called the HD smoke. there isnt much about it on the internet but it is probably the best e-cig i"ve used. It uses the 2 piece design with the cartomizers and produces a really good volume of vapor. Also each carto lasts a long time. If your looking for a really good and reliable, more compact e-cig (about the size of the green smoke) I strongly recommend the HDsmoke. Again there is basically nothing about it online, i have no idea why but yeah get it lol ill review soon

@weiners035 The latest version of Blu is actually a little better. I did a review on that one also...it's usable...but the flavors left a lot to be desired. Also, they never updated the battery so it still has an issue with firing off randomly due to sound.

Blu batteries are sensitive and they explode. Have had 3 of them explode: passenger car seat, coat pocket, and at work on a table that has a slight vibration due to sound. Their customer service absolutely refuses to acknowledge the fact and won't provide new batteries nor will they accept the batteries back as proof.
Joye 510 with cartomizers is the best "cigarette imitation" out there, IMO. I prefer my DCT MAP tank and ProVari mod.

I saw this other video of this guys tips to make it vape more. and the dude pushes the cartrige out and removes all of the foil manually that made it work better. im about 4 days away from receiving my blue cigs so i dont really know if this works. but ill get back at ya if it does ^.^
i just got the blu yesterday and it says menthol but it does not have the taste its not bad as far as what it puts out seems to be out is ok most of the time and does taste burnt at times i have the disposable one it has a hole on the side like a carb n works as such give that a shot i will not purchase another blu nest i will try the finiti they are equal to 2 packs
blu total sucks! I tried it then I switched to a vapage premium kit and its night and day difference. Vapage/Cig2o kits are the best on the market by far
If it helps at all, i tried out an egig recently that i have not found a bad review on and ive seen TONS of reviews. From what ive seen it's amazing and it's been amazing for me, it feels like a real cigarette, it's almost as light as a rel one, and it even has its own pack right down to the cellophane and you can hold your own charger in it, its called the "Safe Cig" I use the MICRO version of it cuz if the features, i would recommend it to EVERYONE that's looking for an alternative to smoking!
The blu e-cig is decent, but if you get to liking e-cigs, this review is complete truth, there are much better e-cigs for the money, and for a bit more you get e-cig heaven. yes they are great at first, but after you receive your order, they change. i had a problem with one of my BRAND NEW batteries not charging and they pretty much said...oh well, buy a new one. and try to say it was my fault. their batteries are very weak and dont hold a very good charge..good thing you cancelled your order and went with volcano. i now vape volcano.

I ordered a Blu starter kit last week before I saw this video. I quit smoking over 3 years ago and only have a novelty interest in the whole e-cig thing. So I ordered Cherry Crush non-nicotine cartridges. The thing makes (at least what appears to me) good "smoke" vapors, but the flavor is SO NASTY it makes me sick. Thank you FieldOfVapor! This really is the truth on Blu. There are too many videos of people that obviously haven't had their blu a week yet. So many uninformed people making reviews on Ecigs.
I've tried the blu and several other lower end units, and my best results have by far been from the Totally Wicked Tornado. For a full starter kit it was $50 and it's well worth the money. I've gotten excellent vapor production and there's no drop off in production throughout the charge. You do have to drip fluid in the carts fairly often, but not enough to be a major hassle. I definitely recommend this product.
you're right actually.. there wasn't any mod on it but i recently talked to him again.. and apparently blu cigs "revamped" or came out with a new design. the previous problems of the "tin foil" issues etc... are no longer. they changed their atomizers.. hence why i was able to blow smoke rings. so... i did comment prematurely because i was under the impression that a blu cig was a blu cig, not version 1.0 or 2.0. my bad. you must have been smoking the first one.

@TheTuskntemper Or perhaps your friends carts were modded with a tea bag...or maybe he was using VG eLiquid or maybe he was using the new Blu cartomizers, which give off much more vapor. Maybe you don't know what you are talking about. This is a review of their 3 piece unit and it sucked. They have since updated their unit and Its better but still a bit of a rip off (you can get a much better ecig for half the price) Oh yeah...and their Johnson creek flavors are lacking for the most part.

I just put up a video on the blu, and i have that fish fluval stuff and a buff puff for makeup that i heard worked. haven't needed to stuff my carts with it yet, i got 50 and its lasted a year of refilling. I hate cartamizers i like making my own juice. but so whats this magic ecig u like better? cause i tried ego and i had to suck till i was blue to get the vapor from my little puff of blu cig. @spaceystaceymm This is what it's all about! Find what works best for you and stick to it! I started doing these reviews to give my opinions on everything I have tried. That doesn't mean that everyone will agree. I will say that there are some people out there that are just selling a product. So you have to watch out for that. Btw: you can refill cartomizers very easily. I've been testing out the new BLU cartomizers for the past week and have refilled the same one everyday since I got it.
@FieldOfVapor I've tried 3, but want to try 510 for manual reasons. I've heard the atty 510 with the blu batt works and is good or the other way around not sure. Since you've got every kind, have u tried this and do they fit? Blu with 510 products? And i can't get thru the taste of the first cartomizer from blu and it doesn't work as great for me. Maybe i got lucky with the one i got. I've washed it in laundry by accident and it keeps on tickin, and actually seemed to wash the cart filler good

Blu cigs are meh. V2 cigs make are much better in my opinion. They're easier to refill and have the atomizer built into the flavor carts. I purchased the blu when it was still a 3 piece unit. I just recently purchased my first cartomizers from blu and I have to say the vapor is a hell of a lot better than when the cart and atty were separate. I agree the vapor sucked with the 3 piece unit but it is pretty good with the cartomizers. I still don't like any of their flavors except classic tobacco.
i had a red dragon e cig that im returning and it was a two piece and u still get the burning tast quite often. recently ordered a tornado t from totally wicked. cant wait for it to come since i just got some liquids from dfw vapor and both my red dragon batterie burned out or stopped working so now i cant even try them.

in my opinion, if you use the regular cartridges with blu after a few mins its gonna suck cause all the vapor gets used up. what i do is i bought some drops and just drip directly onto my atomizer with 2 or 3 drops and that lasts for a while. thats the only way to make a blu or any other e cig like that work.

yo the vape level is obviously going to go down after 20 minutes. and itll taste funny too cuz ur overheating the atomizer. a real cigarette smokes for 5 minutes if ur lucky. you dont needa smoke it for 20 minutes

In actuality, I was not overheating the atomizer, and most people do not vape the same way they smoked (5 minutes at a time)...this is just a crappy eCig. Try any quality eCig and you will see that you can vape for hours strait without any issue. I can't believe they haven't upgraded their product yet. At least Volcano offers a 510 and an eGo Style.
@mcvick507 20 minutes? The vape level goes down after taking one normal drag. It's impossible to vape a Blu for even 5 minutes. The only way to get a good drag is to wait 5 minutes between hits or putting in a new cart every time.

It's probably the worst product on the market. Complete waste of money. If you had used the number of eCigs that I have use...you would understand better.
I bought an e-cig called JOY. Looks just like a BLU cig and is actually made from the same manufacturer, but just a little different of a model. I have found it works just fine, but it all depends on how you smoke it. Instead of taking a hard drag I prime it and take a relatively slow drag, and the vap I get is really good. I have heard alot of complaints, but it I think it all comes down to how you smoke it.
I have had mine for a couple months and I'm still happy with it. It's not for the die hard vape user. To get it to work well you have to do a little work with it to get rid of the foil. Also refilling it works well and is much better then the cart. It's not the greatest, but it's good for me. I think to many people review and compare it to higher end ecigs and of course blu will come out sucking.
Blucigs are horrible (including customer service). I bought them last year to try out the whole e-cig phenomenon, and they are really a bad first impression to vaping. I went back to smoking cigs until i came across volcanocigs and figured why not give ait a try. Volcano cigs are 10x better, although they come from the same manufacturer, there is less cut off times between vapes and more vapor than the blucigs. I also recommend getting e-liquid from vaporbomb as well.
I can agree with how someone would be disapointed. however you can get this things to work pretty good without a mod. you can do good smoke rings, french inhale, whatnot. Im sure there are many more better products, but this is good for a starter
Blu got me interested in vaping. When you refill the carts it's a lot better and you can get some pretty good vapor. But... Blu is really not for people who smoke more than half a pack a day. I haven't really touched my Blu since I got my KR808D-1
i use BluCig and love them..your expectations are too high. All the things you purchased to get the real "feel" of real cigarettes, you would be more satisfied with a real pack of cigarettes..just my opinion !!

i for one have had the blu for two weeks and had no problem i can blow smoke rings it works great the only thing i suggest is removing the foil on the tip when going to use it the foil stick to the atomizser other then that works great
I've had my blu for about a year and am quite happy with it. However, I use volcano carts (which are compatible on blu) because they have a better variety of flavors.
i would recommend getting an even cheaper e-cig thats not blu cig like a DSE901 or a Joye 510 or even a Joye Ego or DSE905, far better in terms of price and quality and vapor productions, etc.
I dont know if you are still looking but if you want something similar with (what I think is) really good vapor production, you could try the 306 super mini at happyvaper.
I bought Blu's last year in the summer and they were fantastic. I ordered some carts recently and they aren't what they used to be. I don't know what they did but they aren't good anymore. I can't get any flavor and thought about getting more atomizers, but decided to try out Magma since I heard they put out more vapor.

You're way behind if youre still messing with the blu and the volcano. Just get a 901 or a 510. If you want a PCC buy one that is aftermarket. Cartomizers are great, but expensive. Just suck it up, or start smoking cigarettes again.

They are cheap to buy separately in parts but the kit costs for all the pieces together in a great box. The atomizer in mine is way different and better than my friends, it vapes Better.

If it helps at all, i tried out an egig recently that i have not found a bad review on and ive seen TONS of reviews. From what ive seen it's amazing and it's been amazing for me, it feels like a real cigarette, it's almost as light as a rel one, and it even has its own pack right down to the cellophane and you can hold your own charger in it, its called the "Safe Cig" I use the MICRO version of it cuz if the features, i would recommend it to EVERYONE that's looking for an alternative to smoking!

The blu e-cig is decent, but if you get to liking e-cigs, this review is complete truth, there are much better e-cigs for the money, and for a bit more you get e-cig heaven. I myself have a few kr808 batteries with "diamond" lights that are pretty great, but my iGo is sooo much better than any penstyle e-cig I've come across. Great review!

Best ecig I have ever used, I have a 510 with manual battery and cartomizers thsst doesn't even compare.so much vapor its freaking rediculus. I ordered a Blu starter kit last week before I saw this video. I quit smoking over 3 years ago and only have a novelty interest in the whole e-cig thing. So I ordered Cherry Crush non-nicotine cartridges. The thing makes (at least what appears to me) good "smoke" vapors, but the flavor is SO NASTY it makes me sick. The Blu Cig is a solid E-Cig for anybody who is looking for the experience of an analog from size to looks, or who smokes a pack a day its perfect. Though i do agree with you on is the E-Liquid (Johnson Creek) that comes with the blu cig does suck, not satisfying at all. But if you refill the new Cartos or their old 3 piece cartridges with different E-Liquid it works great with awesome vapor prod.

I've tried the blu and several other lower end units, and my best results have by far been from the Totally Wicked Tornado. For a full starter kit it was $50 and it's well worth the money. I've gotten excellent vapor production and there's no drop off in production throughout the charge. You do have to drip fluid in the carts fairly often, but not enough to be a major hassle. I definitely recommend this product.

you're right actually.. there wasn't any mod on it but i recently talked to him again.. and apparently blu cigs "revamped" or came out with a new design. the previous problems of the "tin foil" issues etc... are no longer. they changed their atomizers.. hence why i was able to blow smoke rings. so... i did comment prematurely because i was under the impression that a blu cig was a blu cig, not version 1.0 or 2.0. my bad. you must have been smoking the first one.

I just put up a video on the blu, and i have that fish fluval stuff and a buff puff for makeup that i heard worked. haven't needed to stuff my carts with it yet, i got 50 and its lasted a year of refilling. I hate cartamizers i like making my own juice. but so whats this magic ecig u like better? cause i tried ego and i had to suck till i was blue to get the vapor from my little puff of blu cig. @spaceystaceymm This is what it's all about! Find what works best for you and stick to it! I started doing these reviews to give my opinions on everything I have tried. That doesn't mean that everyone will agree. I will say that there are some people out there that are just selling a product. So you have to watch out for that. Btw: you can refill cartomizers very easily. I've been testing out the new BLU cartomizers for the past week and have refilled the same one everyday since I got it.

@FieldOfVapor I've tried 3, but want to try 510 for manual reasons. I've heard the atty 510 with the blu batt works and is good or the other way around not sure. Since you've got every kind, have u tried this and do they fit? Blu with 510 products? And i can't get thru the taste of the first cartomizer from blu and it doesn't work as great for me. Maybe i got lucky with the one i got. I've washed it in laundry by accident and it keeps on tickin, and actually seemed to wash the cart filler good

I purchased the blu when it was still a 3 piece unit. I just recently purchased my first cartomizers from blu and I have to say the vapor is a hell of a lot better than when the cart and atty were separate. I agree the vapor sucked with the 3 piece unit but it is pretty good with the cartomizers. I still don't like any of their flavors except classic tobacco.

in my opinion, if you use the regular cartridges with blu after a few mins its gonna suck cause all the vapor gets used up. what i do is i bought some drops and just drip directly onto my atomizer with 2 or 3 drops and that lasts for a while. thats the only way to make a blu or any other e cig like that work.

In actuality, I was not overheating the atomizer, and most people do not vape the same way they smoked (5 minutes at a time)...this is just a crappy eCig. Try any quality eCig and you will see that you can vape for hours strait without any issue. I can't believe they haven't upgraded their product yet. At least Volcano offers a 510 and an eGo Style.

@mcvick507 20 minutes? The vape level goes down after taking one normal drag. It's impossible to vape a Blu for even 5 minutes. The only way to get a good drag is to wait 5 minutes between hits or putting in a new cart every time.

I bought an e-cig called JOY. Looks just like a BLU cig and is actually made from the same manufacturer, but just a little different of a model. I have found it works just fine, but it all depends on how you smoke it. Instead of taking a hard drag I prime it and take a relatively slow drag, and the vap I get is really good. I have heard alot of complaints, but it I think it all comes down to how you smoke it.

I have had mine for a couple months and I'm still happy with it. It's not for the die hard vape user. To get it to work well you have to do a little work with it to get rid of the foil. Also refilling it works well and is much better then the cart. It's not the greatest, but it's good for me. I think to many people review and compare it to higher end ecigs and of course blu will come out sucking.

Blucigs are horrible (including customer service). I bought them last year to try out the whole e-cig phenomenon, and they are really a bad first impression to vaping. I went back to smoking cigs until i came across volcanocigs and figured why not give ait a try. Volcano cigs are 10x better, although they come from the same manufacturer, there is less cut off times between vapes and more vapor than the blucigs. I also recommend getting e-liquid from vaporbomb as well.

I bought Blu's last year in the summer and they were fantastic. I ordered some carts recently and they aren't what they used to be. I don't know what they did but they aren't good anymore. I can't get any flavor and thought about getting more atomizers, but decided to try out Magma since I heard they put out more vapor.

@xenomorpher it could be the batch. i had the same problem, and then i've never had a problem with them after that.

oh god i hate blucig. they give absolutely no vapor. I'd only get like 10 good hits a cartridge. I sold my kit for 15 bucks when i was done with it and went to nhaler(dot)com and bought myself an xhaler and a 510 conversion piece. prolly the best buy i've ever made.

just buy magma and magma blanks, that way you can buy ur juices and have a verry effective and pocket-friendly cartomizer.

You're way behind if youre still messing with the blu and the volcano. Just get a 901 or a 510. If you want a PCC buy one that is aftermarket. Cartomizers are great, but expensive. Just suck it up, or start smoking cigarettes again.

@bmc510 They are the same exact thing, from the same exact manufacturer. Ask the people at Volcano. The only difference is the annoying foil on the carts.

@bustedbit I'ma ask although that button on the Joye 510 is not anywhere on the magma, so I don't think so... my friends works but I like mine better wouldn't trade it for anything...

@bmc510 The button? You can get the 510 with a manual batt (with a button( or an auto (no button). Still the same exact thing. XDon;t take my word for it though, google it, research it. I'm a vet, I know what Im talkin about

@bustedbit nah I called the guy at magma he said it's different, same model different atomizer, battery, and pack.... that's what makes it more expensive. the other components. They are cheap to buy separately in parts but the kit costs for all the pieces together in a great box. The atomizer in mine is way different and better than my friends, it vapes Better.

@angelos714 You're the second to say that...I'll try to talk up tomorrow...I think the problem is that the laptop doesn't pick up sound well...I might have to use a microphone.
I think I have a little tv mic somewhere...or perhaps I can try and use the mic on my iPhone headphones.
