The production in London's West End was actually sensational!!! One of the best shows I had ever seen. This is so low quality compared to what I saw!!! :-(

I don't think much of the castings for Potts and Lord Scrumptious. I've been spoilt by seeing the wonderful, probably unsurpassable, fantasmagorical original movie.

The sets look a bit tacky too. "Hushabye Mountain" sounds like he's just learning it. Dreadful. No phrasing like Dick Van Dyke did. Supposed to be a lullaby, this version would give me nightmares!! Give me some sincerity PLEASE!

@Mrphilharmonic you've never seen michael ball, have you? he's perfectly AMAZING. i know van dyke was good, i agree, i loved the movie, but michael has a voice like liquid gold. and that's saying alot.

this was great but they did not have the child catchers song in it or the amazing part where he gets swung in a net high above the theatre at the end. It was a shame they cut that out!

I loved Kim Ismay as the queen.....very dramatic!
