  • sorry now I saw that you wrote the name of the song:)

  • song name please..:) niceeee sub man...

  • i like the design not sure about taking up the whole space though

  • how did u get that smooth curve at the entrance of the port ?

  • @HYPNOTIZEMINDS100

buy cutting slots 95% of the depth, this was you can then bend round the corner and glue the slots so that it becomes strong again

  • How much would you charge to build one for 3 ported pioneer 10's..

  • how do you get those cleanly bent corners do you use a table saw put up part way or something i would really like to know

  • fuckn bad ass box dude :D

  • what state r u in? i need a box made

  • nevermind i just herd tha regular version. tha chopped n screwed i hav is alot slower.

  • hows it chopped n screwed?

  • pretty sick box..... but here is a tip 4 u...... get better subs man

  • nice box , now make a custom car so it fits around the wooden sub :D

  • 10" Alpine type R ? or 12" .. Good Work

  • damn good job at kerfing the box

  • hey it would help me out a ton if you would give me all the dimensions to this box

  • can you send it to me?

  • how did you get the wood to bend? i see the cuts, but is there anything else to it? i'm getting ready to build a box for 2 !5s and i really like this design and would love to use that bending.

  • Comment removed

  • nice curves on the box, when i was 17 it was strictly straight edges for me! i know your like 19 now but this is a sweet box for a dude with no training

  • I know its very bad to ask this. But its a very good job and i would really thank you if you tell me how you made de curve on the port.. Its cuting slots and paste them or what? Thanks anyway.. Very nice job, here in my country you dont see that curve.. Thats why i asked..

  • thats tight how u did the curve thing .. did it take u awhile to do it or no

  • crap man thats sum pro shyte... how long it take to make1!

  • hey brother awsome box just wold like to know what size mdf you used and how many kerf cuts and how deep u cut them ....thanks

  • great box

  • SONG????????????????

    PLEASE

  • Dude read the title --"

  • this is what im talkin bout... great design double baffle board to create compression but at the same time let the subwoofer breathe. This is my kind of design. I would have made it smaller for 12's to allow more sound resonance in the car.

  • that box is II Trill

  • The box looks clean,Nice curves

  • 5*'s Sick box. I finished my first box a while back for my 15" L7, wasn't toooo pleased with it, so I think I'ma build a new one.

  • Gotta respect a clean, well designed box build. Got a question though. Did you run into any structural issues on the bends there? Did you have to use anything to reinforce that bend area. Also, after installing and testing the subs, did you see any issues? Thanks.

  • personally i would fiberglass the shit out of the corners cause they look weak

  • @dreed2004 most people would paint the inner bend with fiberglass resin to reinforce it

  • thats a clean box for some 10's nice build.

  • Hey Man, Really sharp box! quick questions: what size mdf.....3/4 inch? How deep are the kerf cut for it to bend? lastly, how far are the kerf cuts apart? Thanks. Keep up the good work!

  • Not much i can say that hasn't already been said.

Beautiful box. I think my favorite part was to see that it was for some Type-R's

    Keep Em commin.

  • Are these 10" or 12"? Clean Box! respect

  • thanks 4 the song man :)

  • Good woodworking. I have a couple questions: Why didnt you curve the inner bend also? And why does your port start out large then get smaller in area?

  • you should try some re sx

  • fukin nice box man. love it!

  • this is one of my favorite videos to watch,,,,,,,,,,, not only because the song PoUnDSs!!! and i love seeing the box coming together,,,,,, that is true craftsmanship,,with the bending tecnique and overall finished product,,,,, it looks excellent,,,,, you do good work my friend,,, and from the looks of it,,it went into an explorer,,,, so i KNOW that bitch POUNDSS!!!!

  • very nice

  • Nice box! Have you knocked your rear view mirror off? My single 12" Type R ripped mine off and brought with it a nice chunk of glass from the windshield. I haven't bothered to put it back up, it just falls back down. Check out my 18" Fi Q in my 95 Grand Cherokee.

  • craftmenship does not cone easy, howeverr, you puled off, simple and awsome. if aznsungrave had a brain intstead of hating your work, He would have something to work for, great job, C.O. JL Audio/engineer/Technician

  • one of the cleanest fkn boxes ive seen u need to wrap it tho

  • great box how did you bend the wood i know your suppose to cut almost all the way through but what else

  • you need to put it on an angle so you can cut a bit of wood out of the cuts so it will bend without pullin on the outside...ive seen ppl try to steam it but it jus focks the wood up

  • nice looking box, the vid kinda sucks though, i like to see more, instead of looking at each pic for like 15 sec.

  • nice box n speakers :) love the bend looks better then just square. :) pro box tho

  • Comment removed

  • WOW! ingenious way to bend the wood! i would never have tought of that!

  • Its called a Kerf Port. its a smoother port design so you dont get port noise.

  • amazing box! i agree with pmanson "looks like a pro box" .. im going to be making one myself soon but i just want to say that the picture at 2:57 to 3:26 the top/bottom view? it looks like its floating! i would have made that the side that everone sees and closed it up with thick plexiglass.. anyways great job keep up the good work.

  • why chopped making them their voice like they are crying

  • this looks like a pro box to me. Nice job. Nice alpines to. you can beat the shit out of those speakers all day

  • i love the song = )

    diggalde :D

  • hey boss i would like 2 know how u bent the wood ....by the way awsome box design

  • So how does tthe box sound?

Should sound great, cuz it's a nice and solid box, i like the ports

  • did you fill the cuts in the corners for strength?? what kind of wood is good for cutting corners?

  • must be sick, box is huge, cool job

  • i like how you rounded the wood very good job!!!!!!!!!!CLEAN

  • clean bro no doubt thats textbook

  • You forgot to brace it...

  • i make speaker boxz for a living as an odd job bro i know it all and nice job really smooth extra snooth job

  • thanks bro. new videos to appear soon

  • @lilrob4777 i doubt you know it all. ahah

  • Please name song !

  • ummm.

    are you illiterate?

    its in the title

  • @martinezo13 I doubt you will understand what I say here, but it's Bone Crusher - Grippin' the Grain (chopped and screwed)

  • @martinezo13 wow r u retarded

  • Bad ass fucking box dude!

  • you could work on carpeting and wiring

  • nice setup in your explorer

  • Not my car, its for a friends setup. this enclosure is two years old now and is still holding up.

I will have videos soon, probably in the next month of my whip. stay tuned

  • WRONG ENCLOSURE VOLUME/PORTING for drivers with theseQts/Qes/Qms Vas. values. Sure it will make bass, but not as tight and as much volume as properly and optimaly tuned ports.Radio shack sells a book explaining

  • SO your telling me that BassBoxPro 6 is wrong and your right?

  • How does it sound?

  • Do you know the dimensions of his box. How do you know its wrong. Maybe you should do some research before making an ignorant post.

  • hey man i have to pioneer impp 15s 4ohm or sumthing.. do u no how big the boxes will have too be? cud anyone tellme how to find out

  • Do some research. Try yahoo or something. Or some car audio forums.

  • cery clean... things to improve could be braceing the box.. that helps a lot!! also, resin the whole inside, it makes the box more firm.. and in EVERY corner put boards there make the corner have 2 angles. hard to explain but just cut 45 degree angles and glue them in each corner. reduces air drag.

  • only thing i noticed is on the back of the ports where they turn into the back of the box im not sure if you did but they didnt look rounded you should have done that if you didnt, it allows better air movement and doesnt make a wierd sound but deffinately a nice box ive made three and im on my fourth tryen new things for 3 12's

  • i have two jlw6 12 anyone can tell me which tape of box to build and the specs please. the one they are in now is not doing well

  • 1 cubic foot each sealed should do the trick

  • Needs resin and fiberglass in the corners.

  • Nice job dude. I the only thing I would improve is reinforcing the corners where you bent it other than that its all good! I would def buy that box if i saw it

  • hey remember me. just wondering if you wanted to check out my setup. thnx

  • only glue and two nails nice work man =)

  • super cool man, my re5pect

  • This is Ok But No Slow Enough Mayne.

  • im actually afraid to play this song on my system. im running a huge risk of blowing out my windows. 2 JL audio 13w7 both in a seperate ported box, 1 rockfordfosgate20001bd amp, 18 farad capicitor, extra yellow top optima battery. each subs running a lil over 1200 watt RMS. all this is a 02 accord 2 door. by the way thats a sick box man. keep up the good work. im almost 19 years old. is your box tuned?

  • 2.5 cubes per chamber @ 36hz

  • 36 hz eh hmm not bad man. it seems that in the video you got them alpine r. my friend has a pair of them topo and let me tell ya, they pount hard as hell.

  • eww jl... gaay

  • what do you mean eew jl? deffinatly another jl noob fanboy that dont know much about the 13w7s speaking out of his ass. you got sony explod so dont be talking

  • haha clowned his ass

  • lol i've seen this aznsungrave dudes comments on like 10 other vids...hes just a retard who thinks he know everything there is to know about subwoofers...pay no attention to his comments on any vids...hes just being annoying

  • is he talkin about the subs at the end?

those are Alpine..I thought? Type R? lol..

  • theres no one talking near the end thats just part of the song. and yes those are Alpine R

  • thats a bad ass box

  • sweet box

  • thats a bad ass box,i bet thats thang boooms!

  • hey sorry to busrt your bubble but this isnt chopped and screwed. this is the normal version if you wanna her the chopped and screwed version let me know

  • your right its not chopped and screwed, its slowed down.

  • oh i see. i like this version and the screwed one better than the original. the original is way to up beat but the lyrics and bass are soo much better when slowed down

  • ha no its not :)

  • is that a toyota 4 runner???

  • looooooooooooooooooool

  • Type R... No better bang for your buck... My subs have my friends convinced to go with the Memphis Mojo.... I'm trying to urge them to spend wisely unlike I did and go with the Type Rs from Apline...

  • Nice. One question though. Why did you make the port farther away from the back wall than the outside wall. You should keep it the same for the entire length. The tuning frequency is determined by the length and cross sectional area for a given box volume. You have 2 different cross sections here. Unless this is some new type of port design I haven't seen before, it's going to raise your tuning freq. a little. Looks good though. Countersink the subs next time.

  • It looks as though it is a futher distance, but it promise you it isn't. 2.25" port all around tuned to roughly 35hz

  • bad coception

  • what? please speak english.

  • that is exelent nice job

  • real nice especially how ya got that bend on them inner corners

  • Daz cool in all. but seems like a lotta box for dem 12's homie. I'd takem out and fit it wit 2 15's and run bout 800 watts of power to each sub. But daz just me

  • its nto alot for those woofers. its 2.25 cubes per chamber tuned @ 35hz. he's giving them each 500rms on an alpine mrp1000 @ 2 ohms

  • Awsome box man. Loved the quaility in craftsmanship. Looks like you put alot of thought and time into this peice. I've been making boxes for a while now, and I ain't seen much more like this in a long time. Awesome imagination.

  • MAKE ME ONE

  • make mr one

  • Im Impressed

  • damn that box is legit man

  • 4 such a young person you sick skills man keep it up. and i hope u charge the guys at skool properly for work like that!

  • To high that box

  • nice box man.

  • pretty sick box, i don't think i'v seen that much effort and quality put into a box and i'v never seen curved corners before like that although i don't know how much strength they would have and how air tight they would be but i haven't seen it in person so im only talking in theory

  • nice job on the relief cuts for the ports. any reason why the port changes demensions towards the rear?

  • finally i see a master at work !!! this box is sick!

  • nice box...can you send me the song?

  • are those woofer 10 inch??btw boxx;)

  • BEAUTIFUL box man

seriously, like the best i've seen

    i love the curves!

    how did you make em?

and i reccomend painting it too ;)

  • I think he did the same thing we did for shaping the skateboard ramp my group made a while back, what ya do is wet the wood until you can make it bend, then dry it out while its bent how you want it

  • nah man

    see those cuts

thats what makes the wood bend

    i know now hehe

  • Great lookin box bro, ive been buildin boxes for a while and now ive learned something new..how to make bends lol. btw im 17 too

been makin hard hittin bass CD's but i totally forgot about this song, its hella old maybe that why lol, i usually play young jeezy, gucci mane, mac dre and shit like that..U know

  • them some nice boxes just math did that shit lol

  • i cant find this song on limewire or bearshare or project playlist

  • fuck all this box talk and shit bout math only math i need 2 know is head+desk=sleep

  • i MEAN i GOT FOUR 12'Z

  • NiCE NiCE MAYNE ...

    KiCKERS ARE GOOD TOO !

i GOT FOR 10'Z BANGiN LiKE CRAZY ! LOL

  • looks amazing how does it sound with subs

whats it tuned to ive been thinking of making a sub box but my last one was such a disaster the subs were actually louder outside of it lol.

  • damn didnt no so many ppl spoke this box language

  • You know it! The best subwoofer will sound worse then swap meet crap if it's not in a good box. It's also why some people can slam with just one or two subs.

  • how did you curve the wood

  • Easy way is a table saw set to a a depth 3/4 the woods thickness, (i.e. 1 inch mdf, saw gets set to 3/4 an inch), you then make cuts every 1/4 - 1/2 inch depending on how tight you run the curve. Watch the video again and you can see the cuts on the INSIDE of the bends. Hope this helps some. Nice box btw!

  • all right ill try thanks

  • can u please send me the plans

  • very nice work on the box.. !

  • wow im getto compared to this i just cut mdf in to a big sqare put two 10s and im good lol id love to be able to make boxes like that

  • yo how did u bend the wood like that?

    thanks.

  • not chopped and screwed .!.

  • how did you get the bend in that wood!!??

  • yall talking anotha language 3 kickers on the back of mi kia ithought kia meant killed in action o i get u killed sombody with a box? LOL

  • Kia...the car...

  • yall talking anotha language 3 kickers on the back of mi kia ithought kia meant killed in action o i get u killed sombody with a box? LOL

  • whats the size of ur speaker specificaly in inches in both sides and the back.. thanks the video!

  • two 12" alpine type R's

    41" wide

    24" Deep

    18" tall

    tuned to 31hz

  • what size woofers are they? i dont think theers any need for 10 cubic feet of area. try tuning around 35hz in a 6 cubic foot box

  • how did you calculate the port.

i need some help on that, i am trying to put 3 kickers on the back of my kia. approxi 10 cuft^3 or maybe 11 on the box. i want it at 30 hz or wish one is the best tuning

  • its good bass box??

  • i never liked square boxes anyways awsome dude they look really great what program u use to determine what volume box u needed?

  • WINISD is a great program for figuring out frequency and such... its free too

  • i have to say though, nice box build and nice subs

  • i have to say though, nice box build and nice subs

  • it wasnt 150bpm lol, it was more like 90-100bpm.

  • i think virtual DJ knows what the BPM of the song is better than your human ear does.

  • comments like that make me laugh!

150bpm would be like the speed of techno or happy hardcore

and it seems like you are a n00b to virtual DJ. you really think it knows the tempo of the song? tard

  • He's saying grippin the grain from the front to the back can you feel my woofers bang

  • what is bonecrusher saying

  • i didn't think MDF was plyable enought to bend like that, even with the cuts you made. Did you do anything special to get those curves other than the cuts?

I personaly would add another screw or two between the woofers on the front. you'd be surprised how fast the vibrations will break the glue loose between those boards and cause a nasty rattle.

  • 3/4" MDF with 11/16" cuts every 1/2 apart is what i did for the curves. also before bending the wood and clamping it, i run the MDF under a trikkling tap to soften up the fibers. as for your suggestion, i had to add more screws about 3 days later. like you said, the glue bond broke the seal cause mad vibration against the pieces of wood
