  • MercTheComs is the way. Get Behind the Merc Movement. 1st priority..Success of the merc.

  • lol..i have learned to live beneath my means..i drive a 1993 isuzu rodeo with 225K miles,,I am self-employed..,i keep my bills under $200 per month, plus rent,,as such, I can survivie without contributing to the grid..I am invisible..a gnat in the society of debt ridden rodents scrapping for their feed,,but i care..:(..about the women in darfur..the children in africa..i yearn for the final conflict between man and god..let ther be peace on earth...and let it begin with??Obama???..yikes!!

  • here are the main ways I know of to make money online (i'm no expert)

    - marketing / sales, including affiliate marketing, hard selling, skilled copywriting, deception, cleverness, and now a lot of never-ending social media gadgets

    - create a product and have other affiliates promote it

    - create a content rich website, put ads on it, and get mostly organic search engine traffic

    - be a spam artist (illegal)

    - pay per click (expensive)

    - build big email list (needs traffic)

    did i miss something?

  • you've got a lot of the same ideas as me. I've been trying to move out to some land (from this apartment) and live off of it for awhile, but unfortunately I haven't been able to put the pieces together and now I'm flat broke.

I found this cheap land at billyland . com but so far its been just out of reach, with money and/or location. I'm considering moving to land between the lakes and living in the woods, but of course the main problem is food, its very hard to live as a hunter gatherer...

  • @DieTheDeath it took me 3 years and building a house to have it start falling down and then building another house to live in. keep the faith

reduce your inputs and make more money with affiliate marketing, find a niche you like, find people that want to buy stuff, then send them affiliate links (check my video on how to get people who want your affiliate links)

  • lol enjoy life after 65 when your almost gone.. lol great stuff mark!

  • Dude you can escape the rat race, and still be involved in civilization. You should read, "The Four Hour Work Week" by Timothy Ferris. Visit my blog JayCigs(dot)com for a free copy of an audio book... it's awesome.

It's not pathetic to pay for things, even dirt. Especially if it is a quality product.

  • @jaycigs the 4 hour work week is a joke imho, might as well become a rap star or donald trump, I'm well aware that you can make tons of money and do nothing but travel the world and consume 100 persons worth of fuel and pay 1000 people to provide your food etc.

however you are missing the point, not only can not everyone work 4 hours a week and travel around the world consuming like kings, that's being in the rat race to the max, my advice is for leaving the rat race, for the average joe

  • @45n5 you take it too far. you can apply the principles in that book (as well as others, such as "rich dad, poor dad") you don't have to jet set around the world using lots of fuel, nor do you have to have lots of people provide food.

We live in a modern society, there is nothing wrong with utilizing supply chains, as long as you still receive a superior product, and nobody was hurt along the way. THIS IS POSSIBLE, often times not executed, but it still is possible.

  • @jaycigs You don't have to consume like a king, i'm simply talking about being out of the rat race. The rat race is the cyclical machine that one has difficulty escaping.... being a slave to a job, being a slave to a house or other "things"....

being out of the rat race can be achieved for a very low price (heck i'm doing it now... i have no schedule dictated by others!... and I'm doing it for less than 600 monthly!!!)

oh, and thanks for the fast reply to my comments, sorry if i was mean.

  • @jaycigs :) Fair enough, I might take it too far for some people, but it's what works for me and makes the most sense, and your living for $600 and what I'm saying are at least in the same spirit.

  • @45n5 i commented twice, and on one of them i at replied to myself... it's the one that starts "you dont' have to consume like a king...."

    ;-)

  • Dude, you've got to get a better camera. And get rid of that stupid banner bar, nobody it looks like garbage. And you look like you are always in a very cold place with your attire. Come on man, nobody is watching these, and the people who are, aren't taking you serious because of the reasons above. I'm not trying to bust your balls, just would be able to finish a video of yours, if those things, and perhaps better editing, seriously.

I'm a long time subscriber... first time commenter.

  • @jaycigs it IS really cold where I am, I don't have heat yet and it's february, I'm building the house I'm in with my own 2 hands you are the first to say anything about the big bar uptop, noted.

  • Laws FORCE you to participate in the rat race. You will be paying taxes on your land forever, I have to get a permit if I want to install a wind turbine, I found out I could get a fine for collecting rain water. These are all forms of revenue collection. No such thing as debtor prisons? I was threatened with jail time, not for not paying local income tax but for a miscalculation of $28. It is against the law to leave the rat race. That's my 2¢. Sorry for the tirade, I'm just frustrated.

  • @FenderGibsonWashburn we might not be able to 100% leave the rat race but don't you agree we can get as far away as possible? Don't you think the pursuit of leaving the rat race is a better lifestyle than sitting in the heart of the city and paying everyone to do everything for you?

  • @45n5 I totally agree with what you say about cities, I hate them. Living in a city would be torture for me. It seems like there are all these laws that try to keep you in the rat race. The deck is definitely stacked against you. I suppose I could move farther out of town so I could raise animals and have a bigger garden. All it would take is more money, the real catch 22.
