  • The Kona Darkside - Takes No Prisoners!

Off here in May with the lads. Think I need to start riding across suspended rope for practice.

  • nice technique!

  • were is this ?? and will it be ok for a decent skill level rider ???

  • thats one way of preserving the moorland!!

  • I went and rode the dark side this summer. What a great fun trail! First time I've done it but I loved the technical challenge of it. Got a bit sketch in places riding clipped in, on my Giant Anthem but somehow managed not to put my feet down at all. Sick trail for practising skills and a great video, Cheers

  • Its not downhill nor trial. Just stupid sniper training

  • I've got great respect for those who posses the skill and ability to ride this, but don't you want to go fast rather?

  • was bist du für ein looser ich bin 14 jahre alt und fahre schneller

  • That looks completely unrideable. Some of those sections....man! Some people must session that stuff every weekend, that's the only way you can do it plus have a freeride bike with very low toptube....was gonna go to Ae Forest but think I'll give it a miss

  • Not for me

    respect for trying it

  • congrats and well done to the trail builders-cheers cool vid

  • Welcome to scotland gents ;)

  • 2:00 Is f***ing hard!?! Awesome skill though!

  • Props for DJ shadow.

  • is that lava?

  • so this is in canada

  • @TheRebelrider123

    Scotland i think

  • crazy, i finished the whole video and can't help to wonder how long it took for the trail builders to build this trail, must took them forever.

  • so hard this dark side. some of it i thought was impossible.

  • Now do it in SPD pedals! :O

  • this wasnt as dark as id hoped, shme!!

  • now thats what i call...... idk, crazy track

  • ur a freakin spasssssss

  • this trail ain't shit come to BC and hit up mt. Seymour. This is baby stuff compared to the trails here.

  • Very cool video, could you have possibly picked lamer music?

  • I never understood the appeal of trails, can anyone enlighten me?

  • that a pretty cool obstetrical course

  • So nice and long xD very nice job !

  • the slower you go, the harder it is

  • I'm pretty sure that this trail would piss me off; I could use the practice though. At least it's at a reasonable height. Props to the builder.

  • how long is that thing ???

  • @0Gskier 3.8Km

  • interesting. thanks for sharing.

  • wow kudo's that looks hard as hell....5 stars bra.

  • Where is this at?

  • amazingly hard looking.

  • it mustve been hard with all that wind to ride on that! i mean you did fall 6 or 7 times but the average person wouldnt even be able todo the first part! Keep Riding On Man!

  • sick dude

  • well i think the main thing is as long as ur havin fun who gives a shit aye.prefer cwym carn tho

  • cool but doesnt look like much fun tbh. id rather be bombing trails than do this,

  • wow that was awsome

  • man i wonder how long that hole thing toke to build

  • First part it seams like you go uphill in the wrong direction of the shore :D

  • where is this ?

  • mabie forest in scotland

  • nomames!!! esta de huevos!! no hay en Toluca, quien se apunta a construir un puente angosto pa el MTB en San Juan de las Huertas

  • that is the most technical trail ive EVER seen and ive seen a few and probs to the builder of the trail it would've taking ages to build

  • you should try it on a trials bike much more fun just dont get caught

  • this must have taken sooooo long to build

  • i think they need to employ better builders. theres planks of wood missing ervrywere!

  • what no there isnt

  • thats awesome looks like alot of fun

  • it looks like a five year old built that course, but good riding any ways

  • damn good, sweet skills trail.

  • That is some hellishly good riding - incredibly technical stuff - the idiots calling this a waste of time should get their sorry arses away from their computers and ge ttheir arses into a mountain bike seat. Then tell us it's lame!!

I forgot how hard that trail was and how good the video is. props

  • surely its time to try again ?

  • If i am right there is a massive drop at the top of one of the hills, and i mean crazy you go of onto a rickety wooden platform for the drop and have a 3m drop and a gap. Someone needs to post a vid of that! Yeah you dudes done well

  • Wayyyy gnar

  • blood on the motorway by dj shadow

  • That is raw guyz. I have a Trek 8500 harl tail with sick components and a good frame. I also have a gary fischer 29er which is hard tail. Would you recomend doing this with a hard tail or is dual suspension the way to go?

  • ATTABOYZ!

  • I dont think most people would be game to even walk that track let alone ride a pushie over it, well done guys. My hat goes off to you for attempting it.

BTW Whats the music tracks yourve used, pretty cool.

  • Those are some long bridges but they are all at ground level. You need to build this stuff in the woods man! Preferably with some hucks in between.

  • did u flim this using a flip bike attachment?

  • using a archos and a bullet cam (not mine though so i can't remember the numbers)

  • what bike where you using

  • on a cannondale chase (2004)

  • super!

  • do it jugglin wilst riding back wards q;-)

  • what are these "wooden risers" called? i'd like to resersch them and build a track in a national park in my neighborhood

  • they are called northshore or boardwalk, northshore being a bit more narly and including things like seesaws and drops.

  • hey whats the tune off this, sounds fantastic!!!

you've inspired me, im definitely doing this in summer when i do the 7 stanes...

  • its a dj shadow track called blood on the highway (i think) of the album private press

  • its dj shadow blood on the motorway.

  • Hey Where Was U Riding?

  • mabie Forest, South West Scotland near Dumfries

  • Outstanding to watch, music class, riding class...

  • good job riding it...when they built this, the cost of wood must have been extremely high

  • i tried this when i was in maibe.

it is hard as and i salute you

  • you guys make it look easy : )

  • luv to try tht but just miss out the really skinny bits.

  • Nice Video. Skinny Section looks impossible.

  • I cant believe i didn't get time to do this, was at mabie last week grrr, next time ill be their :P

  • i went to mabie forest a couple of weeks ago and i couldn't find the darkside, so i just rode the 4x wich is pretty good.

and wer u riding a stinky on that?

  • no i was on my old cannondale chase

  • Guys, Where abouts is this?

  • Mabie Forest, A few miles outside Dumfries.

  • is this in uk?where?

  • I once rode about 3m of that trail. Walked the rest.

  • lol i must have done 6 at a push :p

  • Thats well ridden chaps. I rode that a year ago on my own and in the rain. I never expected it to be so hard. I fell about 15 times - bent my wheel, broke my derailleuer and snapped my chain. I also sprained my ankle in the process. Though I did manage to clean the narrowest part of the trail first time.

I'm going back in a week to exact revenge.

  • skills boys, did it at the weekend so know exactly what you went through. sessioned it for about 2 hrs and managed to chip a bone on my wrist on the way back to the carpark.

  • Looks great, although with my mtb abilities, i wont be visiting for a while

  • yeh i tryed that in 06 and failed

didnt think it would be a up-hill northshore trail. so there i was on my bouncy dh rig with 9 gears and i failed.... lovinf the "bastard" and the little screaming fit was inspired! lol

    cheers and beers

ps doing tht on hardtails your fking brave

  • what happened to you toward the end of the video?

  • after 40 mins of falling off and generally getting stressed out i lost the ability to ride my bike across a comparitvly flat rock so i decided to have a little screaming and shouting fit ! i felt better afterwards

  • BAST'd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Aye, ur right there james!
