  • I get got my 5 foot one

  • i finally did that today

instead of having one foot on the pedal then jumping up i jam my right foot in the wheel then push up

  • Nice job! Congrats! I've just learned how to free mount a regular. Still learning how to ride....

  • yay! congrats on making it!

  • YAY!!!!!!! Good job! (You are 1000000000xs braver than me!) XD

  • my unicylce is too high to do it in one move, first ive to stand on the tire but thats much harder

  • You should learn to dismount from the rear of the giraffe (projecting it to the front). This is the safest way to dismount, if you dismount from the front like you do you risk injuries by accidentally hitting objects or peoples that you couldn't see. By the way free mounting a giraffe it's a great achievement! Compliments!

  • practice makes...perfect be pesistent then you will be ontop of the world...

  • i advise you learn to smoothen up your turning at some stage. Good work all the same.

  • Thank you for your video. I have seen it many time, now I can do it also.

    Jürgen

  • yesss

  • there is an easyer way to get on a 5 foot unicycle just ask me to tell u

  • I just got one of these, and I'm trying to figure out how to mount it with out hanging on to something

  • cousin jon- you are so talented...

  • you need to put your foot in betweent he two cross bards so the wheel doesn't move

  • stepping on the wheel first then jumping to the seat works better.

  • that wud hurt to wreck on man.

  • I put one foot on top of the tire, then up to the opposide side pedal (with pedal down), then up to the seat. My biggest obstacle is my own hand on the seat, if I remember to get that out of the way I'm all set :-)

  • That's better for a 7 foot giraffe, but for the 5 foot it's not necessary.

Getting your backside on the seat is the hardest bit, from then you shouldn't have any trouble riding away.

  • Except for the fact that if your really

short like me, you still need to put

your foot on the tire then the pedal.

  • Good one. How many attempts does it usually take you to freemount? I've just managed it, the technique of holding the seat out in front then pulling it in underneath yourself works for me.

  • its easier to hang on something on the side of u

  • ya but whats the fun in that

  • check out my vid (unicycle trials)

post a comment. please take the time to go see and rate

  • what size unicycle is that, 6 foot?

  • no, its a 5 foot one

  • nice. try a catapult mount.

  • my brother thinks that tall unicycles are easy to ride...is that true?? like once yur going, is it easier to ride?

  • yeah, once you are on its easier to stay there!

  • yes you have more time to correct for error before you end up falling/dismounting

  • There are lots of things to consider. If your brother is used to unicycles with a different wheel size than what the giraffe has, that would make a huge difference. My giraffe is easier for riding very slowly than my schwinn, but my schwinn is easier for riding longer distances.

This is all because of wheel size. A larger wheel will be easier for distance, but more difficult for slow riding and idling. The larger the wheel, the more momentum it develops.

  • if you can ride a small unicycle (like i can)you can ride the tall one (like i can) but i suggest learning a small one first

  • me and my friend got one yesterday and we slid off a fence on to the unicycle, we need to learn this freemount though, its tough!

  • I can free mount a giraffe :) I do it differently, i gently walk with the unicycle and jump on and pedal, took some practice getting the balance straight away.

  • good job man. it took me like, a week to learn to ride a regular unicycle like, 2 feet. lol

  • ya right

  • I am thinking about getting an giraffe unicycle like that. Is it hard to drive once you can get the mounting right?

  • once you are on, it's easier than a small one!

  • How about freestyle? Is it much harder to drive backwards, jump, idle or drive with one leg?

  • Just got one - and trying to freemount it - so great to see your video for some ideas ;-)

  • Nice one mate. You took on the impossible and totally overcame it. That's the stuff that heroes are made of!

  • Thats funny! GJ! keep it up

  • You must be a maniac
