the premise (and the images) are from a thai lakorn/soap opera where a younger guy falls in love with his female boss's best girl friend. that girl friend (of the boss) -- her husband verbally beats her and cheats on her but when the girl starts to fall in love with the guy, society (and the boss) look down upon them pairing together..... and so in reference to the actual song lyrics the two weren't "ALLOWED" to be "meant to be" together:
