  • Well Harper was right about unreported crime. 31,000 victims have come forward. Mind you they will be testifying against the Conservatives but.Oh well. Shit happens.

The new IN $ Out will bring some jail time as well because this not their first offense. But hey Shit happens.

  • All truth what was said in the video.

  • Steven harper has nice eyes

  • The pig Harper must be stopped.

  • @Fersomling Just like a bunch of his pieces of shit friends.

  • harper is shit

    vic toews is shit

    conservatives are shit

  • The crime rates were down, but the unreported crime was up...what they mean by this is they have set up honey pot servers on google, google is monotered by CIA, FBI RCMP and others, anyhow they put a honey pot server on a supposed safe search engine and entrapped 500,000 ips but narrowed it down to only 8,000 ip addresses, they have been spying on Canadians Internet traffic for years, this is UN REPORTED CRIME they are Talking about they WERE SPYING ON CITIZENS!!!

  • Do you know whats an affective system of justice, to teach criminals to change their lives and not make them more violdent then what they already are. It would cost less to attain themfor longer periods and really pot should be legal because seriously the jig is up., we should be more concerned of guns, drunk driving, murder and theft.

  • The "Arab Spring" last year, was all thanks to the Internet. Combine C10 with C30, and Stephen Harper can "suspect" anybody who disagrees with him online of being a terrorist and have the rendition squad pay them a visit.

  • So we're not supposed to build any new jails? Increasing population, current overcrowding, combined with facilities that have outlived their usefulness. Oh ya, right...we just don't want anyone to go to jail period. It's too right wing. Let everyone go if they promise not to be naughty again. Who cares about the victims of crime. We can just pretend they don't exist. We want everyone to be free.. to love.. and to just ..be. That's the Canadian way.

  • @footluv71 no, the canadian way is to spend billions jailing people for non-violent things like growing and using pot. that is what these jails are for. the only reason we have the jail problems we have now is because we are putting mental patients into jails instead of hospitals, and we are putting real crooks into the Parliament and Senate. #robocall

  • @RussLBarth Jails are not being built for the non-violent. Nothing like your ideology getting in the way of the facts. If you've been paying attention(and it's obvious you havent) The jails are to address overcrowding and to keep violent repeat offenenders...let me say that again VIOLENT REPEAT OFFENDERS behind bars where they belong. Nobody is going to jail for growing a few plants of weed. Even if they were charged, they would recieve a fine or a conditional discharge.

  • @footluv71 `you're funny man ... one expression comes to mind ... sock puppet .. the government on patrol needs more now .. hey I just don't trust the GOP.. I don't trust reformers and anyone wearing the robe pointing the finger... priests and judiciary . aren't the violent repeat offenders already behind bars WTF...

  • @stvolo Maybe in the States they are. Here in Canada there is a lot of them running around courtesy of activist judges who legislate from the bench instead of doing their job!

  • @RussLBarth

u want kids to smoke pot...

  • @footluv71 there is no justice if there is two sets of rules...white collar crimes crimes who have many many victims always go unpunished...and diddlers walk free...while we lock up pot smokers? makes no sense ...downright stupid and unsustainable just like government pensions

  • @creedstat No body goes to jail for smoking pot as this stupid video and the libtards would have you believe. I've been busted many times with weed and have never gone to jail white collar crimes aren't Harper's fault they've been around forever. When enough people voice their concerns the system will change. Diddlers going free? that's the fault of a liberal justice system - liberal judges legislating from the bench instead of doing their job. All the more reason for Harper's new crime bill.

  • @footluv71 the majority of pot smokers would be pot growers if it wouldn't lock them up in jail!! so ya people go to jail for this shit....how can you support more government rules and regulations when they ,the government) can't even follow the rules that they made now?

  • @footluv71 um white collar crime is harpers fault especially when its him doing the crime

    SPP anyone?

  • @creedstat white collar crime is Harper's fault, is it? That wildly misinformed comment speaks a whole lot to the fact that you haven't got a clue as to what you're talking about.

  • @footluv71 if these jails are so important, why not build them all in the northwest territories, oh sorry i didn't notice your mouth was full of harper cock

  • @lowaces And yours with dirt Paddy.

  • @footluv71 string harper up from the tallest tree and hang the traitor and charge people $1 admission to have people piss all over his corpse

harper is the worst criminal in canada and if support him you should be strung up to

  • @lowaces Have a seat, Oprah.

  • @lowaces

Naw putting him in one of his lovely jails would be more fun. He would get to suffer longer. I am sure the rest of the inmates would have loads of fun with him.

I can see it all before my eyes as I write this. Snicker Snicker.

  • @footluv71 finally someone with some logic.

  • Why do you people think that crime is at a low? Under the liberal government of course crime is low. There isn't that "drive" that pushes people to work harder, knowing the government has your back. Why steal when you know that the government will pay you employee insurance for a year? Under conservative policies, that's gonna change. Of course crime is going to increase, thus more prisons. Why would Harper pump 5Billion into First Nations? How would that help the economy????

  • ARSEHOLE, YOU SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM THE COMMONWEALTH FOR THIS

  • @KrisdashPaul Who?

  • Who and why did anyone vote for that POS Harper anyway the best part of him ran down his mothers leg when he was born

  • Slave Labour

  • Bill C-51 is being introduced in Ottawa Monday February 13 2012,we're facked!

Bill C-10 is already here and man,we're facked!

This is the first time I see him tell the truth about Canada.we're facked big time!

  • right no you. spoken in the full truth

  • In the 50s coservative morals made it illegal to even walk beside a black person no matter how insane and discriminative that was it was some racists delusional oppressive law. Look at racist people for example, the psychology of racism is hatred and violence against persons of different races, people that adhere to myths of purity wether racial or sexual, are usually also violent for many other bitter ideological delusions that resemble deplorable religious conservative extremism.

  • I can't believe Stephen Harper would actually say that....

  • Who are you referring to as a "Liberal hater"? I certainly don't hate Liberals. I married one.

  • I think Prime Minister Harper is doing a wonderful job and I can't wait for the budget. It will finally start the process of downsizing government and getting our fiscal house in order.

It's great to have a majority. Thanks Canada

  • @peipaulT Do you seriously believe that Canada voted in the majority? Harper had one percent more support than in the last election. The only reason he got a majority is because the opposition was intentionally divided by the media. Harper got 32% of Canadians' support. No more. Get your facts straight.

By the way, I am a conservative but I have absolutely no respect for Steven or his party. None!

  • @laughingmule I have my facts straight. Canadians voted in a majority Government with the current rules in place. The last majority government where the majority of Canadians voted for them was Brian Mulroney's government. That is how it works. You may not like it. The opposition is divided because it always has been divided NDPers are far more to the left than Liberals. By the way I have voted Liberal more time than Conservative. I just can't stomach Bob Rae

  • Man, one of you people again? Not even actually "conservative", just "liberal haters"...

Try harsher sentencing studies w/o quotes. There's one that's specific to drunk driving too but seriously. The government itself at least acknowledges that these studies exist.

It's true that we've only had maybe one popular vote majority since WW2, but a lot were still 40%+, and we should do what we can to improve voting representation. Plus Harper made some unprecedented moves...

  • That seems a bit heavy-handed for criticizing a "childish comment". The Conservatives have not been able to get over 40% support, which I think says a lot about what people really want out of the government. A government where no party enjoys over 40% support should be working together, not buckling under the will of one.

As for crime rate studies, all you have to do is google (y'know, that thing RussLBarth suggested). I searched "harsher sentencing studies" and got several nice hits.

  • @capefeather Liberals have had several majority governments without having a majority of votes and governed with a Liberal agenda, so what is wrong with the Conservatives doing the same thing? I took your suggestion and googled your exact words "harsher sentencing studies". I got one hit. It was someone arguing that harsher sentencing reduced crime. Still looking for those often referred to studies by left wingers that just don't seem to exist.

  • marijuana laws ANYWHERE are the most embarrasing, disrespectful.distracting aspect of everyday human rationality/philosophy/spiritually/economically/justifiably/integrity/etc.etc.etc. Its the one law that people are willing to break at ANY time in their life no matter what some governmental manifest says. All people have to do is keep on buying LOTS of pot. Which seems to be going good. Harpers just a post bush babie wanting a cut of the profits. Like his kids have NEVER smoked pot.lol

  • lol

  • @rider4343 irrelevant bullshit. Inequality = poverty = crime. Not smoking a joint. You are simply a beLIEver and a fool because you cannot follow the issues in this very funny little video talking about a very serious condition called fascism.

  • @rider4343 the new of crime being down has been all over the news for years dude...

  • @rider4343 Nice rebuttal, idiot.

  • @rider4343 Lemmie guess; you live in Alberta.

You are an idiot. Move to America.

  • Get rid of harper then government.

  • please impeach this dumbass

  • Not quite the video I was expecting, but good satire I suppose !

  • its to make room for pot growers 6 plants and you.ll get more time than a child molester

    new crime bill new jails

time to kick harper out the tratior

more screwing with out rights and freedoms of we the people

next its your cpp they give away to immigrants meanig kiss that good by too

kiss your jobs good bye as thats going over seas

its simple a criminal is allowed to run canada

    thats right baby face harper

  • shut up homo

  • @rider4343 Check your facts you idiot. You talk big thinking you know things when you quite obviously don't. Crime rates have been lower in Canada now then in the past decade and that is a PROVEN fact. You think building prisons is important? How can you possibly believe that knowing crime rates are down and Stephen Harper wittingly cancelled the Kelowna Accord. He is spending billions that should be going to First Nations instead of using approx 5 billion a year on building useless prisons.

  • @DOPEFRESHBRAH First Nations ??? lol. If Natives would get jobs they wouldn't have any issues they already don't get charged income tax. wtf else u want to do for them ?

Crime is not down if its down its because cops aren't arresting or convicting snuff criminals. Serial rapists are still on the street because we have no where to put them the prisons are full you jack ass !

  • @SuperTurbo1200 That's like trying to say to your child that there is a decrease in reported monsters under the bed, but then saying that unreported monsters are on the rise. - Rick Mercer

  • @rider4343

HURR HURR LETS TRUST HARPER HURR HURR

  • It's about money and an out of control population with too much freedom, folks. Corporations can't have you standing in the way with your silly protests,. But, I'm not here with just my opinion, I am also providing the beginning of the solution. Not sure why this message isn't on every Ocuppy poster, although, I have seen it on a few. It is after all, how we got to where we are today.

Search Huffington Post under Steven Van Zandt.

  • Sir, you've accomplished a magnificant and entertaining video. Well done. The artwork and commentary rivals Lucas films. This expose' of our current Prime Menstrual reveals the absolute truth of character. I believe, that the best part of the PM's genes ran down his mommy's leg and stained the mattress at the time of conception. Too bad. Only the demon seed, which massacred millions of the good ones, made it to the Ovary Office. ;-)

  • @rider4343 it is madness.... we are going to have a spike in crime and costs just like the us. good. canada deserves to crumble....

  • @rider4343 you talk shit

  • @rider4343 well, police stats show that crime is at a 40 year low, so if anyone is wrong or lying about how much crime exists, it is the cops.

crime is down. it is about to go up

  • @rider4343 So you don't have any evidence? Any statistics? Any brains?

Ok, you got me there Steve, I didn't realize it was you posting under a pseudonym.

I really don't care if you're scared of your own shadow, I'm just not paying to put it in jail.

  • @rider4343 Yes, unless you have information to the contrary.

  • @rider4343 Yes, typing in capitals makes it suddenly true. But, if you have a moment in your busy day, maybe you could cite your sources.

  • I never voted for these crypto-fascist pigs that call themselves the Conservative Party of Canada, so I don't feel responsible for the Americanization of the Canadian justice system, but I pay taxes and unfortunately I can't pick and choose what that tax money is spent on. Fuck you Stephen Harper. You are a cynical, heartless douche with so far too many corporate cocks stuffed up your ass. Fuck your entire party and the people who vote for you and support you and fuck your religious beliefs too

  • He needs to try out his new "system" before he implements his grand plan

  • harper must be destroyed before he ruins thousands of lives and innocent families.

  • Why is he planning to build all these jails? Simple! To lock up all the honest citizens that his new fascist laws will turn into criminals! Isn't anybody reading history? Knock-knock... Germany in the 1930s, anyone?

  • harper telling the fuckin truth for once

  • Two people are anti-human conservatives

  • LOL MY CABINET: A BUNCH OF SOCK PUPPETS! SO TRUE!

  • BEST VIDEO EVER!!! There is so much out there that is important and serious -- I love the videos by the omnibuster collective (look up omnibuster in youtube - it own't let me post a link) but in addition to these serious, important videos, we need a bit of comic relief, too. This is AWESOME!!!!!

  • Leaving the house to vote would have helped too, all that are bitching and moaning should remember that in 4 years. I've never missed a vote on any level since i was 18, have some pride Canada. 61% voter turnout turned 38% of the vote into a majority, for those bad at math that means 22.5% of Canadians now get to do what ever the heck they want. An economist who does not realize we are financially tied to America is running the show... duck and cover people.

  • @Gexx420 im proud of you never missed a chance to vote since 18 i cant wait to get out and vote against these conservative retards but unfortunately im only 17 lol

  • @KKillaJ Good to hear its our duty as Canadians to sacrifice 20 mins every 4 years to vote. Took me 20 minutes or less in this last election, advanced poling is the way to go

  • I HATE STEPHEN HITLER!!!

  • To see evidence proving what Harper's crime bill is really all about and why he's building mega prisons, do Google search of " CGI - The Richard/Trigg Case " and click on link to website.

  • Our Canadian Government are lost, they are working with a corrupted currency system, that is imbalanced, promotes over consumption, promotes wide differences in wages. Tell me that's not corrupt? IF you have a parent in politics, tell them, the system they are working with is corrupt. Even if Canada gets out of debt, their are far wider problems. Currency out of the equation could make a lot more happen, but politicians work with politics/currency system, they are disconnected with balance

  • As someone who recently spent time in jail over trumped-up charges, there IS an overcrowding situation. Everyone in your local judicial system IS aware. A cell is built to hold 2 persons BUT it is not uncommon to have 2 to 3 extra. Two in bunks and the others on the floor. This is in direct violation of Section 12 of the Charter of Rights & Freedom (Cruel and unusual punishment). More prisons will be built but the overcrowding situation will not stop.

  • Harper has been throwing people into prisons because he believes they require "minimum sentancing", ignoring the sociological factors including mental illness. I think the Canadian people deserve a government that actually understands science. Right wingers are kinda sappy if you ask me...

  • Aren't you actually arguing for (no minimum sentences) and (more and better jails to alleviate crowding + disease) ? In that case Harpers half right according to your perspective no?

  • Aren't you actually arguing for (no minimum sentences) and (more and better jails to alleviate crowding + disease) ? In that case Harpers half right according to your perspective no?

  • @rbairos1

    go back under your bridge

  • This video explains nothing. Even if violent crime dropped by half, it still wouldn't preclude the need for more jails. Are they overcrowded? Poorly maintained? Real information would be useful here.

  • @rbairos1

it is called the internet, and the info is available widely upon it. the real issue is that harper is ignoring fact and implementing this plan so he can have orgasms. that should be obvious...

  • @RussLBarth Which facts is he ignoring? I don't want to get into a pissing match here, for all I know this could be a total waste of tax money, but saying its a waste of money because Harper just wants to orgasm with his rich buddies isn't information either.

  • @rbairos1

i am not going to teach you how to use google, but: mandatory minimums increase crime. all the evidence says so. the jails are crowded and in need of repair and the violence and rape and disease inside is getting worse, not better. look it up, dude, sheesh... it is 2011. i am assuming my audience is far more informed than you, so.....

  • @RussLBarth " the jails are crowded and in need of repair and the violence and rape and disease inside is getting worse, not better. " If this is the case (ignoring making it worse with mandatory minimum sentences), then why would you not want more and better jails? At the risk of being berated again, your complaints aren't self consistent.

  • @RussLBarth This simply is not true. ??Read the book Freakonomics by Steven Levitt, a reknown American Economist. His research concludes that longer mandatory jail sentances have reduced crime in the US by 33%.

  • What does an economist dabbling in sociology know that actual sociologists don't? There is lots of evidence pointing to the trend that harsher sentences just compel people to commit more crimes trying to get away with the first, rather than deter people from committing crimes. Drunk driving is a classic example. The punishment is HARSH yet people continue doing it AND there are more hit-and-run cases.

This isn't even getting into the absurdity of jailing people for smoking pot...

  • @capefeather He is not dabbling in social issues, that is his speciality. You should read about him on Wikipedia. Please site the studies that show that longer prison sentences just compel people to commit more crimes.

  • @RussLBarth oh do they??? :(

I have yet to see any evidenace that supports your view. Read Steven Levitt's book freakonomics. His research says the exact opposite.

  • Not even a parody. Actual probably very close to the real truth.

  • Awesome job. Thanks Russell. ;)

  • Harper must be destroyed! With this US style war on drugs it will bring Canada the police/drug cartel problem's they have.As the cannabis price go's up with every new law so do the steaks meaning Mexico style drug war may not be far off.

  • @mackraceing

Well, who's going to do anything? People are too apathetic in this society. All they ever do is bitch on their computers. Nobody's going to stand up to Harper, and nobody's going to "destroy" him. They'll all just complain about what he does, but not take any action on it.

Maybe next time more people should vote, so this doesn't happen again.... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm? Rather than sitting at home, go out and vote against the Conservatives in the next election.
