Nice sketch; don't fully agree with it all, but I do think you've captured some interesting interpenetrations of science, philosophy, and social control. Not sure whether you know David Harvey's work, but in his recent books, he's tied the rise of neoliberal globalization to changes in capital flows and increasingly accumulated, crisis-causing capital.
