I LIKE THE INSIDE VERY MUCH!!!The outside is a little too modern for the surroundings !!!It should be more classical style!!!MY OPINION!

Beside the huge cost .... there is no need to make something clasical near the Parthenon. There is something classical there, namely, the Parthenon it self!

What else could it be, it was bild in modern times and not in the classical times. Cost and other safety factors were taken into account!

It could be built in classical style,with doric,corinthian and ionic styles,... Greek order of columns!

Then, there will be no contrast, and there will be comparisons(old vs new) which will not be valid.

In any event the new building had to stand up to big earthquakes.

If it was classical in style, it would be compared to the Parthenon, There is only ONE Parthenon, there will never be another. In any event the building had to be earthquake-proof! therefore modern methods and materials were used!
