@Hobbymaster1000 Wow. I wish you had other things to do besides copying my videos and putting them on your page, or counting a horn beeping on and off and making a case about it.
@thebiggreen101 No. In this case the system was so old it wasn't connected to anything, just a local alarm. In general I keep everything live if they are monitorined, just take the montioring offline. That way when the system does go back online we can verify the fire signal transmission to CSM.
The 2 users (who shall not be mentioned) get on my nerves too. I don't understand why so called "Fire Alarm Know it all's" have to argue with you @SimplexTech. I'm sure you post these videos for the rest of us to learn and see how these systems operate. For the people who have a disagreement of information with him, you just dingbats!
@intelcore2duo43 Agreed. These are just for people to watch and ask questions if they want to. I don't expect it to be anyone's personal blog, which is why I'm locking the comments on all my videos or else deleting them. Thanks for understanding.
@Hobbymaster1000 AND @thesdx: Where do you get your information? The standard March Time Rate is 120 BPM - the march time rate card cycles 1/2 second on and 1/2 second off - if you do the math that comes out to 120 BPM. Please don't post incorrect information on my page. Save it for your own.

Neat; I don't see a lot of 2001 systems these days. In fact, the local YMCA youth center replaced their Simplex 2001 a few days ago with a brand-new Simplex 4006 system (the existing signals and initiating devices are still intact.)
I like the faster marchtime better. There are a lot of replies above to that single comment. lol I'm just guessing, but are those Simplex 9838s? Is it just me, or did the system go into alarm fast?
@thesdx They do? Really? How long have you been a technician for Simplex? Where did you go to training at? What spec sheet do you have for said March Time cards?
@SimplexTech I'm no technician, but if you don't believe me, I'll make a video response showing you the proof by tapping the beat of the horn into an $100 metronome. I don't just sit around making this stuff up.

@SimplexTech did you use the City Disconnect card for all of your videos?

judging by the sound i think this was off your phone.
SpecializedChild462 7 months ago
Were there any visual signals (lights or strobes) installed as well, or was this an audible-only system?
wileyk209zback 1 year ago
@wileyk209zback - Nope, just the horns.

What BPM is that set to?
Gb755c 1 year ago
@Gb755c March time = 120 bpm
SimplexTech 1 year ago
@SimplexTech 2001 march time cards actually do 90BPM, unlike most other panels that do 120BPM.

It's people like you who drive me insane.

@everyone - it doesn't take a genious to watch the time on the video and hear the horn sound twice in one second. Do the math.
