?If you have a sticky deck, you can clean them by loosely putting your deck in a paper bag with some flour, shaking it up and wiping off the cards with a cloth and your cards should be pretty smoot. :] worked for me
I've literally been doing this for 4 hours straight and it's still not working, I keep getting like half the deck at the bottom with like 3 individual cards in the middle and a perfect fan for like 1/8 of the deck at the top... :(
why is that when i go to do it all the cards stick together? ive tried many different decks, and the one im using now works perfectly with a one handed fan. but wat am i doin ring?
I just cant do it i have small hands and a 1 month poker peek bicyle pro deck i am workin on it for 1 week but i couldn't do anything nice. Could someone please help me out it drives me crazy, really...
@magicalmaniac77 i tend to make my cards chopy or non even/not together or far apart... its anoying and i cant get the deck to be...not as choppy? but i need help
i got big hands and i still cant really do the fan good. i mean im doing exactaley what you are saying but it still not working and i have the black arcane deck from ellusionist so it should work but its not. if you have sweaty hands does it still work pls respond thank you
@stupidxb1 Sweaty hands can be a problem, if the cards get damp then they will tend to stick together which makes the fan harder. This is a difficult move to get down, it takes time to get the feel right so you might just need more time.
Bicycles at that. Even a 1 day old deck would not fan properly for me. It's because as dust and sweat (and other forms of moisture) collect on the cards, they stick together, and for a proper fan, we need the cards to "GLIDE" over each other, which you can notice yourself when you open up a new deck of cards. which slip out of your hands. I keep one deck separate for fanning/spreads, and as such the inner cards are never exposed. This way they remain smooth.

Actually this is right handed. When a right handed person deals cards they hold the deck in their left hand and take them off with their right and deal them out. So generally any move done the "normal" way for a righty is done with the bulk of the cards in the left hand. However, if it works better for you reversing the hands then go right ahead. It's an art not a science, there isn't necessarily a single right or wrong way to do it.
Ive tried this many times and looked at many demos but The cards always catch and snag just bellow my pinky, either my hands are TOO big or im not doing it right
I cant get this at all, all fans are annoying me, I dont know if im doing it wrong or because my bicycles are in horrible condition haha, Hopefully buy a new pack soon and then I'll try
That's what I generally recommend. They are easy to find (at least in the U.S.) pretty cheap and of good quality. Hoyle and Bee cards are good as well. The only problem with Bee cards is that they have no border so anything that secretly involves reversing a card in the deck becomes risky.
i always did i wrong because i tried to... like push every card with my finger from the left wich didnt realy work ^^ doing it with pressure and only dragging the top card is definitly much easier and smoother ^^
i alwaqys use my right hand for a thumb fan im really good at it but one thing that i dont like is the number dont show because its going the wrong way
Hey I have the same deck he uses, but my cards are sticking together when i try to do that. no problems with the ribbon spread, just this and the one handed fan. Any ideas?
Hey thanks for your comment. I just got the Split Spades deck and it fans great. And no, the bicycles aren't dirty cos I don't use them a lot. Thanks anyway!
ohhhhhhhh, dat explains it, my bad lol well idk if they sell them cards over there, well anyway, they look just like they do on this vid, actually, they ARE the cards themselves, but idk if they sell them in aussie, ttyl mate,
you can get them at a cvs or something like that. theyre air finished cards. if you want to buy really good cards google it, they're still bicycle cards. if you tell one person its not a secret any more.
DOn't give up. You can do it. Some people take a long time to learn something it doesnt matter. The longer it takes you to learn something the better you will feel once you masterd it.

It kind of appears that there is a double layer because the right corner of any given card is rougly in line with the left corner of the cards that are 8 or so above it. Well, stop trying to do it with a 100 card deck then :-0 Seriously though this does take quite a bit of practice to get the feel for it. Just keep at it.
You're probably putting your thumb over the edge of the side of the deck and not allowing them to seperate. It's a natural thing to do but will keep the top few cards squared instead of fanning. Your thumb should just be on the top of the deck.
