  • I wish Hazel was my mother-in-law! I'm gay and I dream of being under Jackson's feet ... such a fine gay specimen ..

  • I <3 when Aaron smiled after he Kissed Jackson, AWWW :*] and even tou Jackson cant feel anythinq, at least he can feel Aaron's lips :p

  • How sweet was that look at 10:19!! I think jackson was really touched that Aaron made the effort. He wants to learn how to help his boyfriend and get past his inability to show affection and love and he truly loves jackson we learned that from his words when Jay was in the coma. If would have three wishes one would be for them to have a happy end :-))

  • Hello, I can not speak English. Can anyone help and tell whether aaron jackson has washed? Or why he has wet hands? I do not understand a word, can someone translate to me that the circuit?

  • @danilosa05 J: time to make your sharp exit, A: i thought i might stick around. J: what for? A: i need to learn some how dont i? sorry for the late reply :p and he has wet hands because he helped him wash.

  • Pauline Quirke is amazing in this episode - very moving performance

  • Pauline is awesome. She needs an award for this episode alone.

  • post at 1:04 jackson cute face xD

  • Jackson's emotional venting after the bar visit, then settling down to an eerie normal "get along"

attitude leads me to think this story line will end sadly for J and A.

  • @melshorse I think so too. Maybe they just decided to show the difficulties of people who've just gotten together and how it usually doesn't work out after a serious tragedy. :-(

  • i so love hazel now. she's really a good actress. :)

  • aaron and jackson are the cutest couple ever!!!

    <3

  • Are there any episode after this one??

  • man the actress who plays Hazel is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I wish someone put english subtitles, Im a fan from Mèxico and I can't understand 100% English from England lol , Thank You kimbaforevaryanlamb , Saludos Amigos :)

  • i bet jackson trys killing hiself thts why he wanted to camera to send like a last message on christmas day i bet

    xxxxxxxxxx

  • @sexblinged no, that isn't going to happen. His contract runs until late spring 2011. Unless he is scheduled to appear beyond the grave!

  • @sexblinged how is he supposed to kill himself though when he can't even move?

  • @acceptanceisbliss Assisted Suiside in Switzerland. Is the most likely option. That could take months though but that could be how he exits in sping time.

  • @eilrahc101 i am not entirely sure if Britain has assisted suicide but i feel like when he can't sign any papers they'd still have to tell Hazel or something, and she wouldn't be ok with that...I do see though that it'd be one emotional journey for us viewers as Hazel and Aaron work together to convince him how bad of an idea it is....

  • @acceptanceisbliss Hi No Britian does not allow assisted suicide (though many have tried to have the law changed) but there are clinics in Switzerland where it is legal. As for the signing of papers I don't see this as a problem (from story's in the paper of know people who have gone to the clinics some have been in worse positions than jackson) as for the next of kin, I dont think they wold as that is breaking confidentiality.

  • Anyone else notice how all the emotion drains out of Jackson's face after Aaron leaves? That and the introduction of the camcorder have me worried for his state of mind.

  • Hazel's scene in the Church was so powerful. I was crying the entire time, I could practically feel the same pain she was; that's how real her performance was to me. I love Emmerdale. I don't think I could go anywhere else for a portrayal of emotion as amazing as this.

  • I love how comfortable Aaron is with kissing Jackson now.

  • no as a gay man yes the story of Aaron ans jackson is great but i like the whole dynamic of the soap and its not the 1st gay storline in this soap there has been a few lesbian as well as gay men but the soap as a whole has been great and Pauleen quirk has been a breath of fresh air she and danny and Marc have hit this story right out of the park and the whole Paddy Marlon and rhona has been worth a watch on its own and dont even get me started on Chaz

  • The look jackson gives aaron at 10:25 :'D

  • One thing these scenes showed was that for people who are ill, depressed lonely or in any sort of trouble Christmas isn't a magical time - it is even more siolating, to be endured not enjoyed. I know the vicar later admitted he "could have chosen my word more carefully". It was highly insensitive of him to say what he did, knowing Hazel was in the audience. It just proves that even those whose job it is to understand feelings of others can get it wrong sometimes.

  • man.. Hazel is so torn up :( I felt so bad for her when she destroyed the church's paybox thing. Jackson seems he is able to cope better now that he has someone to take his mind off it. I really like Aaron when he's with Jackson.

  • I have been wondering when Hazel would break and show how angry she is because this has happened and that she feels powerless, helpless, and don't know what to do. This fictitious story is so close to reality it is amazing how the writers cover all bases of what a family and the individual goes through during a horrific ordeal like this. Bravo.

  • I don't know if anyone has head or if someone else has already put this on today but it was announced today that Pauline Quirke has just signed a one year contract for the show. So she is definatly stickig round for a while yet. It wasnt mentioned in the artical if Jackson will be on screne the same amount of time but that kinda put hope in there for me thinking he will be around for a while to come.

  • @eilrahc101 Yeah I also read that Pauline Quirke had signed a yr contract, however unfortunately I'm not sure about Jackson. Although I personally think Marc Silcock should unquestionably be a permanent character on ED, I just don't see them keeping him past Springtime. I have a feeling something tragic is gonna happen to Jackson, for one thing they said Hazel will go through some dramatic things next year. And I don't have a good feeling about Jackson requesting a camcorder, like he's gonna be

  • @yngncheekychap I know I know I have that dreaded feelig to. As soon as I read where it said she would go through alot next year I had a sinking feeling! And as for the camcorder thing I really hope it won't be a suicide storyline I dont think I will be able to cope! Shame they havent said... maybe now we know how long Pauline is hanging round for they might let slip on Marc next.

  • @eilrahc101 Yeah hopefully we're wrong and Marc will be around past Springtime...fingers crossed!!!! Not sure if u follow him on Twitter or not, but the profile he has had up for the last couple of weeks has NO mention of Emmerdale, whereas his profile before this latest one, he mentioned being an actor on ED. I just hope this is not a hint of something he knows and we don't

  • @yngncheekychap No I dont follow him on twitter. Infact I have never been on twitter. That is intresting though.

  • @eilrahc101 leaving a video diary behind

  • Bravo to Emmerdale for not sugar coating this storyline. Everything that they are going through is so realisticly done I am almost speechless. Pauline Quirke deserves full credit for her performance.

  • the actress of jacksons mother is wonderful, she's doing a great job

  • I have the feeling I'll be crying a lot by the Christmas episode.

  • Difficile à expliquer, mais je trouve cette "Story" bien au-dessus du lot.

  • I really want to be optimistic, especially after the Christmas miracle, but I'm just not sure Jackson and Aaron will last all that long as a couple. They're both very young and I just can't help feeling that, sooner or later, Aaron will realize what he's in for and look for an out.

  • @xoanwahn I agree. Their relationship, even now, is more of a patient caregiver one than a romantic one. Jackson should have a honest talk with Aaron about them not being a couple, close friends perhaps. Aaron should be allowed to move on with his life. I am rather torn between the two possibilies!

  • i love Jackson he is such a great character, i cant stand all the grief the writers pot him through i hope he will get beater!

  • That ending was simply perfect. :) Great episode as usual.

  • 9:38-11:03 makes me like this :D

  • Now that's more like it.

  • God can't but writers can....

  • @qweuio Really? Sorry, but contrary to this story. I've seen to many miracles. So it is hard for me think otherwise.

  • @ttortier20 LOL. ok.

  • TY for this one !

A really meaningful episode for Christmas time

    - Tre

  • what a lovely episode!!!! that kiss was just perfect!!! :) O tis heartbreaking seeing jackson lying in that bed but at least he has aaron!!! :) i was hopin this christmas miracle wud be that J wud get feeling back in his upper body as it wud be unrealistic for him to be fully able again! but i'm afraid it looks to be just that the builders come to do up the house but at least its somethin!!!! :):):):)

  • Oh hazzel

  • or please i so hope they do not to kill jackson out of the show that would suck , im still wating for aaz to tell jacksone that he loves him . lol or and jon you rock thanks for putting this up so quickly for all to watch . marry xmas mate . cheers

  • I'm curious how they are going to explain that Jackson can use a camcorder.

  • @jmtennapel He will ask a nurse to turn it on place it on the table in front of him so he is in frame...... the nurse will go out of the room..... Jackson does his blog then the nurse comes back and turns it off..... thats what i'm guessing.

  • That was freaken amazing!!! Pauline (Hazel) did a tremendous job. I actually cried. I was floored. What a great episode all around! And the kiss!! Always good thing. I've been watching the entire show and I'm amazed at how good the writing is. Sometimes it does feel like I'm watching real people. The subtle reactions and comments that make this all believable.

  • this goes from bad to worse....

  • Comment removed

  • A great episode. Know what Hazel is going through, been there and done that. It's not easy and there are people that can't understand unless they have been in the same situation. I really like this story line and hope it continues, But also hope that Jackson gets a miracle for Christmas.

  • Aaron has responded well when Jackson said "glad that we've sorted things out, really miss you..." Aaron has really become different after everything!! However the sad thing is after that goodbye kiss, Jackson seems a little bit worried about his future:( I hope that has nothing to do with the video camera or he knows something bad is gonna happen to him... I just hope that producers won't make Jackson (Marc) dead! I like his role in Emmerdale!

  • Anyone seeing a euthanasia story line coming?

  • @MrJoshyk88 yep! first thing i tought when this started!

  • @MrJoshyk88 I hope not. The" miracle" will be when Jackson works through his despair and makes as good a life for himself as he can. Able-bodied people may think "I'd rather be dead than quadriplegic" --Jackson may often still think that--but there are many people out there living rewarding lives, with help from their friends. If Jackson asks Aaron's help to kill himself, I hope Aaron has the guts to refuse. Jackson owes it to himself to see what he can make of his life before giving up.

  • @Raggedy9 I hope so to, but Aaron has shown by his actions last April that he is not afraid of death, so the idea of assisting somebody else to do what he wanted to do may not seem so repellant to him as it would to some of us.

I want Jackson to stay - if it was a choce between him & Hazel I would rather she left, but if they want to get rid of character, get rid of the boring one: Declan's wife, his daughter, Scarlett, . "Jackson" is a unique character, unlike those 3 who are mere cliche'

  • @AlanRM1000 Aaron wasn't unafraid of death: he was afraid of life as a gay man. Aaron of all people knows that suicidal feelings never last; he'd be the least likely person to help Jackson kill himself. Personal note: I've lived through several suicidal depressions, (I'm quite happy now, thanks) and I would NEVER help someone kill themselves, unless possibly they had a terminal and excruciatingly painful illness. Suicide is the one mistake that you can never correct.

  • @Raggedy9 Well, he certainly regretted surviving at the time. In the hospital the following day Aaron to Adam "You should have just left me there..I mean it", and back on October 6th Aaron told Jackson in the past he would rather have been dead.

I think he is past that now, hopefully, but what I meant is I don't think the prospect of death frightened him as it would most people at that age & he might understand the motivation of otjhers in that direction.

I sincerely hope they don't go there

  • @AlanRM1000 This sound irrationals, but if anyone helps Jackson to kill himself, I think it will be Hazel. This not based on a close analysis , just a gut feeling. Her all-encompassing, limitless love could give her the strength do this (mistaken, in my belief) thing. But I think at the last moment she would back down--to kill your own child is unnatural (unless you're one of those psycho dads wanting to punish your ex.) Anyway, much to look forward to in Jackson's saga!

  • Very powerful scenes today. Thanks for posting.

  • Aaron cmon u cldve told him "i missed u 2" but i forgive u :) cuz u FINALLY kissd Jackson, YAY! *squeals* alrite now dnt hate me im not sayin dis 2 b mean ok i just find it kinda of annoyin tht ppl in da comments r always thinkin bout da worst case scenarios. seriously ppl come up wit stuff thts not so depressin i understand its good 2 b realistic but its also good 2 b positive n send good vibes so yea anyways thts just my opinion so dnt b mad @ me.

  • WOW!...Look how far Aaron has come in the past few months....before he came out he was moody and beat people up or started fights and stuff, and then when he came out to Paddy and his mum he tried to kill himself and was sevearly depressed about being gay, and now he's taking care of his boyfriend who's in a hospital bed and even kissing him goodbye before he leaves!...good kid!

  • This storyline is getting so depressing.

  • @razielvskain805 Alas, it does not seem apparent he ever will. This is one wrenching story. Unlike American soaps, the Brits don't cater to miracles.

  • @razielvskain805 i no a lot about whats going on with the soaps but for once i actually dont no if jackson walks again or not. i actually dont no bout that one really.

  • Is anyone else worried by the introduction of the videocamera? This could be foreshadowing of Jackson's death - and Aaron discovering a trove of his tapes as a bittersweet keepsake.

  • @Boslthrman omg dont say that. o god dey wudnt do dat 2 him. hope not. :(

  • @antanddecfan100 I really want to be wrong but this is going in a dark place, I fear.

  • @Boslthrman jus as u said that i actually am thinking the same now. i no something that none of you's no nd im not saying it on dis unless u want me 2 message u nd u mite think different.

  • @Boslthrman Well it haddent occured to me until you said it and now I'm really worried... hope not!

  • @eilrahc101 I'd love to be wrong. I'm rooting for these boys but the weeks ahead look to be gloomy.

  • There goes Hazel again, telling people off!

  • What do you suppose Jackson wants the video camera for? I don't have a good feeling about it. Hope I'm wrong.

  • @Z325i Though I have a sense of foreboding over this whole story, I don't think the camcorder is for anything sinister. What worries me is that A has made this committment at 18 and I remember how much I and everyone I know changed between 18 and say 22, how he feels now might not be the same in 4 years time. Or even 4 months - that is the problem 4 all teenagers. Something u really want or believe today may change tomorrow. I hope I'm wrong.

  • as sad as the whole scene was, it made me laugh so hard when the dude (forgot his name) tried to talk to hazel and she went: "SHHHUUSHH!!!" and he just shut up, hahaha.

  • Poor Hazel. :( It makes me sad. Aaron and Jackson are still ever so cute together. The joy on Hazel's face when she knows that's it's going to be ready on time, made me smile so much. :)

  • This episode just made me feel good, I think that Hazels character is played excellently, equally Jacksons with ups and down in both :) thanks for uploading

  • @razielvskain805 Who's to say he ever will? :(

  • I definitely teared up on this one. Can't describe the sympathy I have for Hazel and Jackson.

  • The actress who plays Hazel is amazingly good.

  • What I find most appauling is that Jackson's builder mates have all seemed to disappear. No visits, no assistance, no mates-rates.

  • OMG--Hazel wrecked the church because she was wrecked emotionally and Aaron manned up all in the same episode plus a Christmas miracle from an unknown benefactor. Woohoo!! I must say very intense acting--LOVED it here in the US!!

  • @OneWyldSonnet Where in the US? I live in Minneapolis :)

  • The thing about "The Wizard of Oz" faith is that if you believe in yourself that all things are possible--- it's right inside you and all things are possible.

  • @robertn800 It is SO true!! I think the people in the Village will pull together, and help. I would!

  • how cute was that kiss? :')

  • @mrssodapopcurtisx very cute. we all ave been waiting for anotherv kiss. nd it was so sweet nd cute.

  • Just loved Hazel's "WTF" are you talking about, in Church! At first it seemed like Aaron was kinda bored, but he stepped up, when it came to learning about how to take care of Jackson. I wish the kiss had been on the lips, but it's the writers, and Jackson seemed happy. Wonder who Hazel's benefactor is ???

  • The thing with Christian faith, one is asked to find the silver lining from the clouds. / If you think about it, Victoria was actually the "angel" that pushed Aaron to see Jackson. And this miracle, if relavant to Jackson, will manifest I believe in some form - but not supernatural. We would just have to find it. :(

  • Thanks so much Kimba .. can't believe I'm watching this in Barcelona on the same night it was shown in the UK. You rock!

  • @billbcn1 Hello @billbcn fron BARCELONA... I just love the internet!!!!! Uk... Barcelona... US-(the hood).... "on the same night.

  • i no who paid for it. am i allowed 2 tell?

  • @antanddecfan100 No, please don't.

  • @alwaysuseless thats fine. lips r seeled. :D

  • @antanddecfan100 Thanks for asking, and thanks for your response. I guess you like knowing in advance what's going to happen or about other things that haven't been revealed in the show itself. That must be a different way of experiencing the show and probably has its own rewards. But I couldn't watch the show that way. I like to be surprised. Sometimes I suspect what's going to happen. Then I find it fun to wait and see if I was right or not. :-)

  • @alwaysuseless no problem jus wanted 2 ask jus in case. i dont mind knowing these things. i no a lot wats going in most of the soaps. nd i love finding out information bout some of the programmes. usually peoplec always asks me wats going on in the soaps because i no so much. always wanted to work with tv nd hoping @ some stage in me life. im hoping to study media in the future 2 get me dream job. :D

  • @alwaysuseless So polite...

  • @DocDawg79 :-) Blame it on or credit it to the commencement of Ludwin (Lucas for Dec. 16 on GTST).

  • Who paid for it do you think?

  • @foreverlove006 Declan most likely. He is the only wealthy person in the village who knows Jackson well and could afford to get the work done so quickly.

  • @foreverlove006

I actually think it could be Jackson's dad. God knows he needs to make up for how poorly he's treated them.

  • @malgacho Its Declan Thats Paying For The Builders :)

  • @foreverlove006 I have know idea, ive been racking my brain but just cant put my finger on it. It says on the emmerdale website that we find out next week though so now long! :)

  • @eilrahc101 find out wat?

  • This show is so fearless in confronting the primary issues of life, God, healing, relationships, anger, blame, pain. It is one of the few shows that I have seen that courageously examines these issues. (I am not saying that others don't, I am simply saying that I think the aspects of this series is worth noting) ;-)

  • @JESSJUSTJESS O, ancient and wize one, what you say is so very true indeed.

The writers played it perfectly, with Ashley having nought to respond to Hazel's charges in the church but his own, human, compassion. And the money in the box and collection plate was another tell. Just beautifully done: those who believe can see divine inspiration, those who don't see humanism at work.

  • @JESSJUSTJESS fearless? lol. its a soap

  • @artfool9 Yes, it is a soap (obviously) by fearless I mean a willingness to confront social difficult issues that many shows and storylines shy away from and avoid handling. Fearless, in realistic (as realistic a portrayal can be on a show) of human relationships and specific drama.

  • @JESSJUSTJESS lol. I wonder what the show stands to gain other than a substantial number of gay viewers such as ourselves that tune in to just watch one gay couple on a predominately straight soap. what does more viewers equal i wonder?

  • @JESSJUSTJESS well put! I couldn't agree more! Best show on air world wide this!

  • @JESSJUSTJESS I agree. The writing is fearless, honest, courageous. There is no sugarcoating. Yet: only in this storyline. There is plenty of sugarcoating elsewhere in Emmerdale. Why do these three alone - Aaron, Jackson, Hazel - have to carry a relentlessly bleak storyline? This is fiction, not a documentary. Writers call the shots - they make it up. There was a prominent gay character once before - a lesbian vet: she had lots of fun. Why have these two lads been sentenced to hell on earth?

  • really like Marc Silcock's Jackson tonight - again. Such an adorable man. But, hate to moan, but I found the kiss a disappointment. So sexless and anaemic! Especially after all this talk about 'what we had' and 'it wasn't just about the sex' - I want to see some spark of desire, physical wanting between them. There's a place for 'sweet', yes, but Aaron is there as his boyfriend who wants him, not just a kind-hearted helper.

  • ok they managed to make cry once again!!!!

    cheers!!

  • to think that aaron was so worried about coming out and how people would treat him; and now the village has embraced his boyfriend and his mom.

  • awwwwwwwwwwww finally a kiss between the 2... lovin the fact that aaron is showing that he is not bothered by jackson... and jackson is finally accepting his help... hazel is just brilliant... everything from her doubts... to anger... and her little smirk at the end...

  • Well, I've got tears in my eyes. Hazel, dearest, that was incredibly powerful. And a great reminder about the slacktivism of most people these days.

  • @nightobeisance Oh, Thing, I LOVE it when you word smith. 'slacktivism'

  • @JESSJUSTJESS I regret, darling creature, it's not mine. It's becoming a common usage. Urban Dictionary has a number of defs, but this works admirably:

"The act of participating in obviously pointless activities as an expedient alternative to actually expending effort to fix a problem."

I'll give the churchgoers in general some slack for the additions to the collection plate, but all the words? Mean nought.

  • wonderful episode today, fantastic acting from pauline quirke and such a lovely moment between jackson and aaron, sweet kiss, aaron has grown so much, jackson and paddy has brought out the best in him

  • Jackson has so sweet eyes:)and his smile is so cute=) sorry but thought Aaron looked bored and depressed sitting in that chair. Got a smile from him at the end, end a sweet little kiss:

Thanx so much for uploading.. sitting in Norway watching:)

  • @anijacs123 Hi. Yes, Aaron did look listless. To be honest, I've never seen Aaron as exactly a great conversationalist. I've often wondered just what the two of them find to say to one another. Most of the conversations between them have felt like butter being very thinly scraped, apart from the impassioned ones reserved for their splitting up and reconciations talks (of which there are many...) It's one of the less credible aspects of how their relationship has been presented, to me.

  • Episodes like these remind me why I love those boys so much. Pauline is amazing as usual, liked that J told A all we've been saying when he touched his arm, loved A being so caring an that J could see that. It's just an incredible story.

  • Aaron is beginning to demonstrate that he will be a carer for Jackson (there are plenty of young carers in real life). There has been a subtle build up to this recently (Aaron fastening Paddy's shirt button for him, giving his Mum a hug and so on). I think it's nice that our boys are being portrayed as a couple who are deeply attached to each other, the fact that they are gay is almost a "side" issue.

And yes, the kiss was very sweet (and Jackson can feel that, and respond!)

  • @thunderbush1 Well said. The fact is that the writers have been very good at subtle, yet continual change in Aaron's character, which at times feels a bit frustrating, yet the realism is compelling.

  • Hazel is just teh epitome of human nature and Pauline quirke is doing one HECK of a job with her character. She continues to show us the reality of the real situation and shows everyone just how real jacksons situation is. WTG Pauline.. * applauds*

I love seing Aarson very happy at this moment :D Aaron is really trying and Jackson can see it. Hope for Happy XMAS!!!

  • Damn it Hazel made me cry trying to deal how to take care of Jackson and doubting herself if she can do it or not.Pauline is doing such amazing good job love her.Jackson and Aaron they looked so cute together the kiss was so adorable i liked it.Aaron wow he surprises me his really growing up he wants to now how take care of Jackson his not showing that his scared or running away.I just love seeing Jackson happy and smiling.

  • Comment removed

  • Why doesnt Aaron touch Jackson's face, instead of his body???

  • Hazel is such a strong and beautiful woman!!

  • Paulina is simply amazing. She doing an brilliant job of showing Hazel through her state of deep frustration. And even though Jackson's was visibly uncomfortable with Aaron assisting in his bed bath I know he sees Aaron's genuine desire to be there for him. Its great to see that Aaron is actually dealing with Jackson's disability in a positive manner.

  • Pauline Quirke is an amazing actress. Once again a heartbreaking episode. With some very nice bits of Aaron and Jackson. Thanks for giving us an oportunity to watch this show.

  • such cute eps tonight especially when jackson said he missed aaron and then that kiss was just gorgeous and u wouldnt have known that he was once scared of being himself :) xx our boys all grown up :) xx

  • thank you soooo much! btw, does anyone know what the song is that is playing in the background of the 1st scene ( the one with aaron and cain in the cafe) thanksss

  • @HappyMishner It's "A spaceman came travelling" by Chris De Burgh

  • @audwatbow thank you!
