  • i'm sooooo bad at math;in contrast,my brother is really talented in the subject

  • Most of us do not even use anything more than basic math in our everyday lives, is he really going to compare it to literacy? Ha. if you don't share his interests you are a dumbass, he is "that guy".

  • Actually today people are basically admitting to being illiterate with pride. I would consider most of the people I went to college with to be functionally illiterate in that they could not even read works from the late phase of early modern english with sufficient comprehension and they would gladly admitt to not even being able to read something like the "communist manifesto".

  • when am i gonna need triangles in life at all i just need to use basic math shapes wont help pay the bills

  • Im getting f*cked in math currently, I did REALLY well last year in algebra 1, so well that I did this fast track course and did geometry really quickly so I could be in algebra 2 this year to take more challenging courses junior and senior year. Biggest fucking mistake, and my teacher sucks ass I hate her... first year teacher who has a horrid indian accent.

  • Khan ecademy got me into math!

  • my teachers wave used to wave stick at us. what a motivation

  • im in a F***ing recorces class

  • i am 13 and PLUS AND MINUS IS hard beacuse i didnt follow in the classes pls help me :(

  • i math also hate because when im in the room math subject and the teacher teach i can't easily understand what the teacher or instructor showed or explain how i can get good grades if i can't easeily understand the math subject?

  • To get good at math all you have to do is study, and anybody can get good at it.

math is really easy once you learn the rules, just like reading, at first you can't do it then you learn the rules and then reading becomes a snap, you can even sound out words you don't know, the same exact rules apply for math. math is just another language.

  • @RespectMyHate yeah and at what cost, often. Also, a lot of people do not have enough memory space for math.

  • @SpicyHam If a person is of average intelligence, then they have more then enough space to learn, anything, and I literally mean anything if they put their minds to it, and that's a fact.

  • @RespectMyHate perhaps your definition of average is a bit high

also, no they can't, quitting attempt to lie to the government.

  • @RespectMyHate That's a great concept, but when you learn to read you take a lot of time actually learning the rules, the sounds, and practicing them. In math, you just move on to a completely new concept the next day. Maybe if they taught it at a reasonable rate, the highest grade in my Alg II class might be higher then a c.

  • Im in Year 12... and im failing math. Love life.

  • IM A DUMdASS LOL

  • when i see the homework and am confident about it, when i turn it in and get a bad grade on it it makes me feel like shit and brings my self-confidence down. And when i see a random ass question on tests/quizzes, and i don't know how to do it it frustrates me extremely. I need help in no other subject except math.

  • jimmy buffetts probaly not a dumbass haha

  • I can do math up to a certain point

Which is when I get lazy

I hate just staring at a question on a test that I didn't study for and being clueless to the answer

Probably the main reason we aren't that good at math is because were too lazy &/or distracted and don't put in enough time to learn concepts

Grr I need a fkin tutor for gr. 12

  • i got an A* in maths, which i am very proud of.

  • ...some of you can't even pull on a pai of matching socks. I wish I could go back and whip every witch-of-the-west- math teacher who yelled at me, ignored me, and accused me of not trying.

You're all so cocky. Why do we all have to be "well rounded" anyway?

It's futile. Why can't some people just be good at what we're good at?

  • ...You math people are all the same. You see, I'm terrific at everything else. I can't sing, write, dance, choreograph, teach my self languages and speak them perfectly, write a lengthy reaserch paper in three hours.

The thing is, it's easy for, say, an English teacher to slap an 80% on a horrible essay, because it's more subjective. Math teachers can't get away with that because with math, its either right or it's wrong. You gloat on your high horses at the "dumbasses", yet some of you...

  • I can't do math, and it is NOT OKAY with me. But I can't do anything involing numbers, directions, graphs, charts, etc. IT IS NOT OKAY, but I can't help it. I'm a musician and I can't read music. I want to be a journalist and I can't draw a dummy page. My teacher did it for me, so I could pass. It's terribly embarrassing. I dropped out of school three times, because I failed remedial math, even while spending hours in the lab with tutors. I couldn't pass the tests.

    You math people...

  • @AmaindeJH If you cant read music then you are not a musician.

  • Calculus is not tough, it actually isn't, it is the way it is taught that makes it so fucked up. Most books I have read show minimum steps to how they get to their solution even when showing examples in the beginning of the chapter. Then when I finally understand it, I say to myself "why the fuck didn't they just show it to me like this instead of having me all confused and trying figure out how they got to the answer that they did.

But I think they do this to make it seem hard.

  • I dislike math and math dislikes me.

  • the lessons are more exhausting than enlightening.

  • its okay to be a dumbass people.. lets not learn math now
