This song is originally from Hoobastank and written by lead singer Doug Robb. He doesn't say whats the meaning but he quotes a lot of people talking about friendship but not God's friendship. Its just a nice song and lyrics.
Perhaps at the end of the song he's telling someone about the side they've never met and then saying hey this is You as in God...b/c they are a Christian band i do believe that they meant it to b to God but may have just gotten caught up in the song and sang the wrong lyrics or they could have actually used the lyrics as a story where it's as if he's talking to God until he tells his friend and then praises God that he had the courage to tell the story....definately a good song i<3u guyz ^.^
