Thank you for this tutorial! My 6 yr old son saw these on Sesame Street, and demanded one ;-) I had no idea how to make one, but remebered some boys back in school would make them, so I looked for a video on something similar. Anyway, I managed to mimic yours and my child is delighted!! :-)

I can make square paper!

1. Fold the top corner of a rectangular paper to one end to make it look like a triangle.

2. Fold the thin, leftover paper that you didn't fold onto your triangle fold.

3. Unfold all folds

4. Now rip off the thin fold.

There you go!

I remember this! I used to have a book that taught you all the nifty things that can be made. The instructions for this one was for water balloons. You filled it with water and had to quickly throw them before they leaked out all over the place.

I thought this was going to be that rocket balloon thing.

If you cut the tip of the triangle off when folding you can then fill the balloon with lighter fluid and try to light to fluid coming out of the hole. making a small explosion and propelling the balloon like a rocket.

Never worked for me though, it would just catch on fire. So if you do try that I recommend doing it outside.

emm, no it would never work because teh fire would burn the paper, because it is made of... PAPER.

It works.

I only made it work once though.

It doesn't burn because it doesn't have enough time to catch fire.

though they were catching fire from the lighter as I was trying to light the gas.

fill a balloon with water hold over a flame it wont burn or break
