I am a Canadian and private insurance is ONLY for paramedical care (i.e. chiropractor, psychologists, etc...). And these policies are offered by employers (only 1 to 5% of individuals buy these policies).

Our Health care system is not perfect, but at least EVERYONE has access to it at no cost. We are all very proud of this.
