I dont understand though , in one video he is very very pro sifu lin and then this , it doesnt make anyone in kung fu look good with politics about who says there what . sifu tios sian jin po and sifu lins are diffrent , sifu lin definitely knows wing chun, and sergio still teaches it as wing chun so whats going on ?

When I first saw Lin demonstrating BFWC I noticed that it looked very similar to a style I saw when I was younger called 18 Lo Han. I was confused why Lin would call it Black Flag Wing Chun so I took the footage to my Master, Wang Zhi Peng and did not explain what it was titled in the video and he speaks no English at all, I just asked him can he tell me what Kung Fu it was. Within 5 seconds of Lin's demo he said, Shi Ba Luo Han Quan. or in Chinese characters 十八罗汉拳. Pyramidal schemes again...

There is a whole load of information that HKB Black Flag Wing Chun is from many different sources beside GM Tio such as Vikoga Wing Chun, Tension forms from uploaded pictures from 5 Ancestors, Hung Fa Yi theory from books and internet.

@sifupr yes Sifu sergio is aware of that,but here its about Sifu Kenneth Lin claiming Siu Nim tau,Chum Kiu and Biu Tze are original forms from Black flag Wing Chun taught by sifu tTo Tek kwie which is clearly not true,thats the whole point,hemade the forms up himself and that can be ok too just admit it and dont shove it into somebody else his shoe.

Now that it's well known that Black Flag (Hek Ki Boen) Wing Chun is a fake, let the ones who don't care about tradition choose whether they'll keep on stuffing the liars' pockets or not. That's their problem, not ours.

What makes Wing Chun, Wing Chun? I have encountered two systems (one that is very unique) that don't have siu lim tao, chum kiu and biu jee and yet are in my mind very much Wing Chun.

This is a real life proof to take now and then a sincere look at yourselves and remind yourself of your true, deepest principals and believes, and rectify. We all have to defend our being against daily life pollution which are at times easily absorbed without realising you slowly become more sedated, insensitive, loss of respect for yourself. It is a brave and honourable statement, and it should be supported by all non commercial consumed martial artists.

Guys relax, sifu sergio is a researcher it took him 6-8 months to find out the truth as he was side tracked on several occassions. everybody can make a mistake, here with this video its corrected. wish you all a great day.

@gingernessful Yeah, it was all a big gimmick all along. Besides if this guy admitted being a liar before (in this very interview) than he's either a liar now or a liar then; so saying he isn't a liar is a lie in itself. But Sifu Sergio was the one promoting "black fag wing chun" so much a few months ago and now it isn't even wing chun anymore? Someone said they were over charging people for seminars but if people are stupid enough to fall for such obvious gimmicks than that's their own problem.

At first my reaction is oh my god he's making up an origin story to get more students...etc, etc...I don't want to learn from a lier...etc...etc...but when I think about Chinese Martial Arts, I think most origin stories in the Chinese Martial Arts are mythical and probably made up. But, yeah, in this modern age why try to make up a story? If one is secure about one's art, let it speak for itself.

@ThisSentenceIsFalse nah you shouldn't ponder that way. It would be the same to talk about god or religion so to speak. One can wonder sometimes if all the religion is a made up story as well and people spend their lifetime believing in it and some don't. The ONLY question is no matter what it is. What do you believe in? In this topic about wing chun. I'm very interested, i'm practising the art myself but knowing story behind the art amuses me. Doesn't affect you or others that i do, right?
