since Yumemi Yakata Monogatari/Mansion of Hidden Souls was programmed by System Sacom, i've been wondering if some of the group's members were American. i figured this for two reasons: 1. The director and the supervisor were not Japanese; and 2. System Sacom made some past games that had given credit to non-Japanese (like Mark Flint, who apparently did Moon Ball Magic for the Famicom Disk System).
Sugoi! When I was a child this game frightened me. ^_^; Even now I watch it and my heart races! But it's nice to see it again, and this time in Japanese! Arigatou gozaimasu!

I don't remember these character background segments in the North American release. All of the butterflies' past professions were implied instead.
Are there other differences in the JP release?

are they same game or sequels?the one on saturn and sega cd..there is also another game on Saturn which is very similar to this called;

It's true that Gekka Mugen Tan Torico is similar this game,because it is made by some staff members "Mansion of Hidden Souls" on SEGA-CD.

This is "YUMEMI MYSTERY MANSION" or "Mansion of Hidden Souls" on SEGA-CD.Then "The Mansion of Hidden Souls" on Saturn was released as sequel.
