Someone has asked is Eric still with us , well I can confirm he IS very much still with us as he is my Uncle and can remember this episode very well indeed..even though it is a good few years down the line Eric is still has a very strong character.. someone else said that we need something like this on UK TV today and I agree, I would even go as far as to say that eric would make a great BEADLE lol anyone agree??

I saw a documentary mentioning Beadle's about etc and thats the reason nobody has made a similar series since...very sad. RIP Jeremy. This was qaulity saturday night entertainment

Yes there were mobile phones in the 80s.... they just weighed the same as a bag of spuds, were just as bulky and cost a small fortune to buy and run. The batteries and signal coverage were pants too.
