  • Good ole fashioned saturday TV back then when you could watch have a laugh and go out for the night, no need for gimmicks and celebrity obsessed tv like X factor and dancing on ice.

  • the prince of wales pub wouldn't be the same without him p.s. my grandad was the one who set him up

  • Bring the old times back!

  • I am also happy to know that Eric is still with us, thanks Sue for letting us know.

  • What a classic. Thanks Jeremy, thanks Eric, you have made me smile and laugh watching this. Does anyone know what year this clip is from? It must be around 1990 or the early 90s, since they mention John Major?

  • I crack up every time I hear the John Major bit!

  • I would like this this clip dedicated to David and Norman Longley...R.I.P

  • Someone has asked is Eric still with us , well I can confirm he IS very much still with us as he is my Uncle and can remember this episode very well indeed..even though it is a good few years down the line Eric is still has a very strong character.. someone else said that we need something like this on UK TV today and I agree, I would even go as far as to say that eric would make a great BEADLE lol anyone agree??

  • @suejenner thanks for your reply! good to know eric is still with us all! what a temper,eh? i'm laughing as i'm typing this because there was NO way that the doggie loo was gonna get anywhere near his home! yeah, i agree that he'd make a GREAT beadle, only i have a sneaky feeling that if the victim got out of order...well eric would punch them!!! ha!

  • rest in peace jeremy,

  • eric still with us?

    i hope so,what a star!

  • @nuipret oh yes! he's very much still with us lol

  • RIP....Jeremy Beadles...

  • You will have a lovely view from your bedroom mate lol

  • Wouldn't it had been great if when Beadle turned up with his dogs, and one started having a turd in front of Mr Glass, and the camera got a clear shot of his face, watching the dog pooing?

  • council innit?

  • Too right, I love it

  • dead funny ;)

  • its council in it lol

  • "You tryin' to give me a heart attack or something" he says... thats why they don't do these anymore. We live in such a protective culture nowadays

  • the horrible days now of 'where there's pain there's a claim (blood pressure etc)' has stopped quality telly like this!! I saw a documentary mentioning Beadle's about etc and thats the reason nobody has made a similar series since...very sad. RIP Jeremy. This was qaulity saturday night entertainment

  • telly like this hasn't stopped, ur just lookin the wrong place. Take 'Scare Tactics' from America thats from the last couple years. The whole program woz based around pranking people into thinking they were about to die ! U don't get much more extreme than that !

Beadle woz a genius tho and this woz quality for its time.

  • Agreed rest in peace jeremy

  • RIP BEADLE!! You sure wound my dad up and made me laugh as a kid!

  • when beadlemania swept the nation...

  • "Its beautiful Italian Gucci bus shelter"

He bought it so well. Genius.

  • John Major's Citizen Charter! Hahahhahaa.... Oh Lord! :D

Yes there were mobile phones in the 80s.... they just weighed the same as a bag of spuds, were just as bulky and cost a small fortune to buy and run. The batteries and signal coverage were pants too.

  • ...you'll have a lovely view from your bedroom mate...LMAO

  • There aint no f**king sh*thouses going outside of my door.

  • he he hes just like Alf Garnett.....hey,were there really mobile phones in the 1980s?

  • 'Dogs have to do their number 1s and number 2s'...haha, absolutely brilliant! It's so funny watching peoples' reactions....I loved 'Beadle's About' in its day and wish it was still on tv. Thanks for this, not seen it in years, brings back some good memories!
