I finish P90X on Friday. I am 6 ft tall and I went from 255 pounds down to 190. I'm going to take a week off and after that I will start round 2 so I can get down to 170 and tighten up the skin that was lost. Great results man, I just wanted to share.
now that u got the cut going on you need to add some mass. get a gym membership and lift heavy as fuck. 5 sets of 5 on every workout and the fifth rep on every set being your last one. as in your muscles fail and you can not do more than 5 each set. you will be a straight beast!

guaranteed you will not lose strength...but will instead gain it...there is nothing to keep you from continuing to do your bench press exercises as i've known people who add it onto the workout regiment...all you need is 90 days of complete dedication with nutrition and this and you will be pimpin in Panama City (great place for spring break btw)
@sinc86 your height and weight are not consistent with that of a 'fat ass' your bench is pretty good for your weight though. being a strength coach, id say you will probably lose some of that strength if you lose too much weight during the regimen. if anything i would stick to weights and get a lot more mass before i started p90x. i would recommend working out and gaining another 20lbs of muscle mass before you start. just a suggestion. otherwise you will look like a little skinny boy :-P
@sinc86 I started at about 185 and dropped to 156. I am now up to 165 and shredded. I set a goal with P90x to be ripped for a cruise and P90X works. Blew me away. I continued benching on Saturdays in place on Kenpo and gained lots of mass.

Coming from a 6'4" 305lb fatass who just placed his order for P90X I was not impressed with the muscle in your chest. After 180 days I expected your chest to be much more developed. I did however see you had great gains in your arms getting bigger and your abs. Congrats and see what you can do about that chest!
i have a friend that got completely tore up on that p90x... his bench started at 245 ended up about 340 he was 220 lbs he could only do 23 push ups before and now he can do 71. it works great, you had awesome improvements as well

gaining muscular weight is both exercising and eating more calories than you are burning - so the working out portion builds muscle and the eating increases your weight with it...there are some people who used it first to shred fat and lean and then gain muscle weight later...
nothing to stop you from doing it, but man 13 is pretty young to be all worried about this stuff -- you are only young once so live a little and wait until you are 15 or so and do this stuff...if you are heavy into sports and stuff, i'd recommend it a little earlier though if you want peak performance.

if your under 15, just do push ups,sit ups, plyometrics, stay away from heavy lifting.. i was 5'5 my freshmen year of high school.. came in Benching 200lb,squating 315lb, and power cleaning 185lb.. i am 22 now.. and im 5'7.. the shortest in my family out of my guy cusins... the next shortest guy out of my cusins is 5'11"... so id say stay away from the wieghts

Wow! You can definitely see results! I am doing the Lean + and I absolutely love the exercises. I have always been doing some form of exercise so it's not so hard for me. the nutrition plan will help you there, and yes, P90x will help you alot but you;re gonna be someone that REALLY needs to get with the nutrition plan to build your body, not trim it down.
@elitecssplayer starting any weight system results in your bones been compacted because you are too young, wait untill you hit 18-19 and start off with p90 classic,
also if you have problems gaining weight go straight to lvl 3 eating on the lvl 1 workouts and see how your results are

pushups/situps/pullups/bridges/bodysquats lunges, your never to young to start working out with your body weight, im me and ill help you out, by the way people are built diffrently worry about your self and keep at it, oh and eat allot of good food
you should focouse on bodyweight first to learn to fire your muscles and use good form then start adding weight. a adjustable weighted vest would work good.
To Elitecssplayer: You DO NOT need muscle before you go to Basic training in June!! You need to do pushups, situps, pullups, and you need to run. You don't need to be some super buff muscle guy in basic. It will NOT get you any respect. Doing the required pushups, situps, runtime will get you what u need. Don't worry about muscle bulk, worry about passing the PT test. Find out How many of what exercises you need to pas the PT test and work on being able to do that many before you get to basic
ill give you some good websites to do some reading on. There are videos also to help you with form. Dont look to bodybuilder magazines for info, all of thoes guys are on $100,000 of steroids

Your chest is non-existant. Your lats are huge, but no chest. This is the problem with p90x. Doesn't even out the exercises since chest doesn't use any weights
good results man even though you may not be all ripped and bulky at least u have a toned beach worthy body. Im currently on day 31 and ive seen some results tho i havent completley flattend my stomach out yet i used to weigh 140 no im like 137 but i suppose itll take about 2 months to flatten my stomach i hope i get a beach body by the end of my 90 days. Buti will still keep bringing it after my 90 days im looking to do 180 days

Hey, did you follow the exact Nutrition plan or did you just eat lots of protein / ate healthy. Because I don't have the time to cook everything that is listed, and I was wondering if I could just eat stuff with lots of protein, and little calories like Chicken Breast, Fish, etc. You look awesome btw.
dude if u want to get great results u should follow the nutrition plan but if u can follow it then do what u said it will still work out for u....... i went from 210 lbs to 180 lbs....no fat everything was replaced by muscle but i followed the nutrition plan though...
Great work man. THis is too all those out there that are overweight.... I started at 330lbs couldn't do a push up, couldn't do a pull up. But after doing the modified moves for awhile and getting into the gym as well ....it's now day 38 and I'm finding everything easier to do and I'm down to 305. Keep up the hard work and as long as you keep doing it and keep pushing yourself to the "x" treme you'll see the results you want and once you do you'll keep pushing for it.

Well you really should take the "fit test" for P90x before hand and make sure to "pass" it before doing P90x. You can be lower than required on like pullups, but you really want to be passing on everything else. If you are not, i would highly recommend starting out with P90 first. That said, you can still do P90x and push yourself by altering moves as they show you on the videos. Get bands for your pull ups.
I don't want to insult you, but you might want to look at some bodybuilding poses, it will make your video's even better because now they look a bit weird
Make sure to do the cool downs after each workout. They really help in getting the muscles loose. And dont worry if its sore the first week. I couldnt play football for a year because of a ski accident, and when i went back to lifting this summer, i couldnt bend my arms for 4 days. I thought it would never end. Just keep with the program for a couple weeks and itll eventually start to feel better and better. Good luck!
You just have to do the best you can and eventually as you progress through the program you will find your strength inceasing as well as your stamina. The important thing is to not quit!! Decide, Commit, Succeed!
For sure bro! I started at 2 on day 1 and i can now do 20+ in all methods, so keep at it and you are set. You can either use a band to start or use a chair to assist - i started with bands and moved to the bar. Good luck.
Absolutely no offence meant here, but these are probably the worst results I've seen on any of the P90X result videos. Which program did you use (Regular, Lean or Double)? And did you stick to the diet?

I disagree. He had a belly and no muscle definition at all in his before photos. Its very obvious to see his stomach went down and he now has muscles and definition all over.
For 180 days, in my opinion, these are poor results.
Compared to some people who've only done 90 days, I think the progress made here isn't as good as you see in the others.

if you read the video, it says P90x and P90x+....thus the reason why you have not seen most of the exercises since many people haven't done P90x+

i want this SO bad, i'll be 17 in march and im in my junior year of high school, i want this so i can look the best i can for my senior year.....
how often should i do the vids, and does this really take an hour or are there more than one video that you do for the hour a day?

the nutrition plan will help you there, and yes, P90x will help you alot but you;re gonna be someone that REALLY needs to get with the nutrition plan to build your body, not trim it down.

@elitecssplayer starting any weight system results in your bones been compacted because you are too young, wait untill you hit 18-19 and start off with p90 classic,
also if you have problems gaining weight go straight to lvl 3 eating on the lvl 1 workouts and see how your results are

So what do you say I do now? I workout at the Workout room at my school regularaly and I see kids in Grade 9 working out, no problem and they have rediculous muscles, big and toned I mean, and I have nothing. What am I supposed to do? I need muscle before I go to Basic in June.

pushups/situps/pullups/bridges/bodysquats lunges, your never to young to start working out with your body weight, im me and ill help you out, by the way people are built diffrently worry about your self and keep at it, oh and eat allot of good food

just go ahead and do the Power 90 program, but forget about the supplements because you don't need them when you're 16
just eat healthy and balanced and (imo) eat red meat like steaks a lot (of course at least 1 to 2 hours before workout)
then follow the Power 90 with P90X (or even start off with the X if you think you're up for it)
try not to do any more cardio than what's on the program, but more muscle workout is alowed

you should focouse on bodyweight first to learn to fire your muscles and use good form then start adding weight. a adjustable weighted vest would work good.

To Elitecssplayer: You DO NOT need muscle before you go to Basic training in June!! You need to do pushups, situps, pullups, and you need to run. You don't need to be some super buff muscle guy in basic. It will NOT get you any respect. Doing the required pushups, situps, runtime will get you what u need. Don't worry about muscle bulk, worry about passing the PT test. Find out How many of what exercises you need to pas the PT test and work on being able to do that many before you get to basic

Your chest is non-existant. Your lats are huge, but no chest. This is the problem with p90x. Doesn't even out the exercises since chest doesn't use any weights

good results man even though you may not be all ripped and bulky at least u have a toned beach worthy body. Im currently on day 31 and ive seen some results tho i havent completley flattend my stomach out yet i used to weigh 140 no im like 137 but i suppose itll take about 2 months to flatten my stomach i hope i get a beach body by the end of my 90 days. Buti will still keep bringing it after my 90 days im looking to do 180 days

Hey, did you follow the exact Nutrition plan or did you just eat lots of protein / ate healthy. Because I don't have the time to cook everything that is listed, and I was wondering if I could just eat stuff with lots of protein, and little calories like Chicken Breast, Fish, etc. You look awesome btw.

dude if u want to get great results u should follow the nutrition plan but if u can follow it then do what u said it will still work out for u....... i went from 210 lbs to 180 lbs....no fat everything was replaced by muscle but i followed the nutrition plan though...

Great work man. THis is too all those out there that are overweight.... I started at 330lbs couldn't do a push up, couldn't do a pull up. But after doing the modified moves for awhile and getting into the gym as well ....it's now day 38 and I'm finding everything easier to do and I'm down to 305. Keep up the hard work and as long as you keep doing it and keep pushing yourself to the "x" treme you'll see the results you want and once you do you'll keep pushing for it.

Well you really should take the "fit test" for P90x before hand and make sure to "pass" it before doing P90x. You can be lower than required on like pullups, but you really want to be passing on everything else. If you are not, i would highly recommend starting out with P90 first. That said, you can still do P90x and push yourself by altering moves as they show you on the videos. Get bands for your pull ups.

Make sure to do the cool downs after each workout. They really help in getting the muscles loose. And dont worry if its sore the first week. I couldnt play football for a year because of a ski accident, and when i went back to lifting this summer, i couldnt bend my arms for 4 days. I thought it would never end. Just keep with the program for a couple weeks and itll eventually start to feel better and better. Good luck!

For sure bro! I started at 2 on day 1 and i can now do 20+ in all methods, so keep at it and you are set. You can either use a band to start or use a chair to assist - i started with bands and moved to the bar. Good luck.

Absolutely no offence meant here, but these are probably the worst results I've seen on any of the P90X result videos. Which program did you use (Regular, Lean or Double)? And did you stick to the diet?
I'm starting mine next week, I'm a big boy so I was going for the lean program, but if lean is what you've used I may be better with the regular.

I disagree. He had a belly and no muscle definition at all in his before photos. Its very obvious to see his stomach went down and he now has muscles and definition all over.

For 180 days, in my opinion, these are poor results.
Compared to some people who've only done 90 days, I think the progress made here isn't as good as you see in the others.

Great job! Don't listen to the distracters; most of them don't do any type of workout. Aside from the fact that you went from a wimpy lookin' dude to a fit, happy and healthy looking guy, you've just added years to your life and happy years.
