Awsome! Does anyone know anything about how the Double Dobsonian style telescope might work? you can see it at about @1:34 It's Purpple and it looks like 2 smaller 12" Dob's lashed together, it looks very interesting and I'm itching to know how this unit might function, would it give both images and merge them into 1, and would it effectivly double the aperature? If anyone can help me figure this out I'd appreciate it, Maby it's a cheap way to get BIG aperature on the cheap? Cheers, IC.
We are totally diggin' this music! What is it! Also, we are completely interested in the Star Party. This place was talking about in the New York Times. That's some cool stuff right there. At least something good finally came to Chiefland. Your fellow Chiefland residents, BobNWilbur
There are hundreds of star parties in the US each year, Almost always the weekend of the new moon. The one at Fox Park Wyoming in August is spectacular! Check out the Cheyenne or Laramie Clubs web pages.
To attend a star party, contact your local astronomy society, most towns over 25K have them. Dress for winter conditions even in summer, bring a RED flashlight, binocular if you have, and ask before you look through a amateurs scope. Be friendly, that's all there is to it.

You don't need to dress warmly in southeast Georgia during the summer. It's 80 degrees at night!
