i just got one of these from a family member. i tryed manually cycling some bullets through it and it was double feeding and not feeding correctly. ill probably take it to the range next time i go. my primary weapon is an xdm 9mm so this thing wouldnt see action any way
half the people that talk shit about Jimenez have never owned one...they just look at blogs of other people that haven't owned one and talk shit and the trend continues...i have a 9mm and out of 200 rounds i have 1 jam. but i also have a Springfield xdm 9mm. u cant compare the 2
@wheremygat187 ....Stupid is as Stupid does....It should be called JAMINEZ. Jams when you need it most. C'mon you know it.......Laugh you'll live longer.....
@wheremygat187 I have a Ruger LCP. Nice but small for my tastes. Good as pocket gun in summer garb. I prefer a .45acp. Speer golddot's or the Winchester Ranger sxt would be good carry loads in .380. Ammo in .380 was hard to find for awhile.500+ rounds w/o a hiccup is good to go, for carry in my book.
You kids complaining about jams in a cheap gun? Just fix it. A little polishing work, etc. and it will feed just fine. I've seen $800 guns jam and $200 guns that worked flawlessly. Jimenez has lifetime warranty, anyway. Send it back and it will be fixed.
Gotta agree with you. My buddy has a kimber 1911 that jams EVERY time we go shooting (yes the gun is clean and quality ammo is used)......And I spent $400 less on my glock and not a single problem
to the person below me thats where you belong BELOW ME your a moron!! if you want something not to costly go with a kel-tec there a cheaper gun or a charter arms! both cheaper guns and RELIABLE Jennings Bryco Jimenez ARE JUNK THEY JAM Missfire and most of them break these are not a good CCW or home protection gun there just heavy paperweights!
Hi-point and a few others are inexpensive and much safer and reliable then a Jennings or Bryco or now Jimenez. New name same dangerous weapon. These fucking things should be outlawed
I did use fmj they hard to find but it still jammed twice so jimenez sent me some new clips but is still a shitty gun! I think im upgrade to the ruger lcp or lcr!!!!!!!!!
Low quality but considerably better than throwing rocks, one thing is for sure if that woman had a jiminez pistol in her purse she quite probably would not end up gutted in the trunk of some pervert's car. Yes I prefer Glock's myself but I understand some people on tight budgets can't buy what I can afford. Atleast they are exercising their right to bear arms and galvanizing themselves rather than living like unarmed peasants or sheep.
Excellent, reliable low cost pistol......just use common sense, and high quality ammo. You can't compare a Ferrari to a Ford Escort, as most of the people above are trying do. This is a good gun if you don't plan on using it every day, keep it clean, and again, use common sense. Highly recommended!
@josepheaglefeather My thoughts exactly. I have no issue with mine, it's actually my current cc most of the time just because of it's size. It'll do the job just as well as any in most situations, so long as you can shoot well. My other cc is a .40 XD, which in hindsight I probably shoulda got compact model.... At ranges of your average defensive action vs. lethal force I'll put a round from both into their peach. Practice people.....
jimenez is actually jennings/bryco. when bryco got sued because a kid shot another kid with one, bryco got sued and went out of business. jimenez was started after that. in 22LR they're great guns. cheap, yes, but they get the job done. a great way for people to get started shooting guns without spending a fortune. it is pronounced "he-men-ez". jimenez isn't as bad as cobra, which is producing the old talon 9mm that likes to break slides and break people's noses. cobra has lorcin designs too.
jiminez's are saturday night specials, cheap and unreliable. I had one in a 22 caliber and it never fired a clip w/o a hangup. get a bersa 380, a kel-tec 380 or 9mm or a feg pa63 9x18 caliber if you don't have a lot of money, but the jiminez is the old bryant brand, and they are junk. For concealed carry don't get a davis, phoenix, raven and definately not a jimmy, you're taking a big risk if you do, you don't want to get into an incident and have a "jimmy jam."
Agree with you there. Stupid me bought a Jimenez JA25 .25 Auto not knowing much about it. It works ok, but EVERY SINGLE clip, the last shell seems to jam rather than eject. Very unhappy with it. Would not buy a Jimenez again. They are the remnants of the Bryco Arms company, and kept a lot of the (bad) designs of Bryco.
@wad5859 I have the JA-22 and the only time it jammed was when I put cheap ammo in it. If you were using federal eagles or Remington thunderbolts then Im not surprised you jammed up a alot. .22's are picky as it is. Ive put about 5000 rnds of CCI Minimag through my JA-22 and it hasnt jammed once. Comparing a .22 to a .380 is an apples and oranges comparison at best. My friends has the .380 and uses Speer Lawman at range and Remington Golden Saber's as primary load; no problems out of either one.
@letmelubu Ive got nothing but good things to say about JA weapons. Just dont use cheap ammo in them. if you go with a JA Nine then I suggest PMJ, for the 380 then use Speer Lawman, Remignton Golden Sabers, or gold dots, if your going with a JA 22 then use CCI Mini Mags. A lot of people blame hang guns for problems that are actually with ammunition.

well, at least it doesn't use a lanyard so you can throw it at them if it jams or blows up. I hear that brings shame to saturday night specials.
