not true. pavel datsyuk consistently has great numbers for points, checks, plus/minus, and takeaways. he is definitely a better "all-around" player than ovechkin. ovechkin is a great goal scorer and a greater offensive weapon than datsyuk, but datsyuk is better as an all around player.
yea he is a better all around player, but ovechkin is a better player because he can generate plays, hit, dangle and he could darn well shoot the puck too, though i acknowledge what u say: that pavel is good at alittle of everything, but ovechkin is jus plain loaded on the shot(and the hits)
malkin is good but he's not great in the playoffs. last year he was basically a no show, and this year i think he has 4 goals, which isn't bad....definitely not great either if you're trying to compare him to crosby or ovechkin. but yeah it's kind of a bummer people only see crosby considering they have a lot of skilled guys besides him.

There's no denying it. Has anyone ever looked at the history of Crosby's line mates? Pascal Dupuis, Petr Sykora, Mark Recchi... Where's the supporting cast? He has had a few quality wingers that have played on his line.
Crosby is the best passer in the game today, he is strong on the puck and hard to knock off it. He has a great back check, quick hands and a hell of a shot.
Give him a couple good wingers and he'll make it rain.
He consistently takes 5 times more shots than any other NHL forward, He has a horrible shooting percentage, Hes a terrible checker (1/2 his checks he leaves his feet < Penalty), his back checking is sub par.
He is good at eventually putting the puck in (after 500 or more attempts he has 50+ Goals), not the best. though.
Crosby and Malkin do not suck nor are they fags.You people are just jealous because they are not on your team,and don't say you wouldn't want them on your team.We all know you wouldn't criticize them if they were on your team.Grow up.

You can't just look at the stats on whichever website...you need to watch the two play, and in doing so you will see how much more Ovechkin dominates the game and brings more energy to his team. Crosby started off better earlier in the year (points wise), but as of late Ovechkin is impossible to keep off the scoresheet. When these two teams played eachother a week or so back, you could see how much more dominant Ovechkin was, Crosby realized this and threw a blatant cheapshot at Ovechkin.

Every shift someones hunting him and trying to get under his skin, and he still maintains his cool while guys are hacking and slashing at him.
Players play harder on Crosby then any other player in the game today. Thats because he is unstoppable without the non stop pressure.
The Pens are going to make a big move for a big player to support him next year... Then you just wait and see how many points the kid can rack up.

malkin is good but he's not great in the playoffs. last year he was basically a no show, and this year i think he has 4 goals, which isn't bad....definitely not great either if you're trying to compare him to crosby or ovechkin. but yeah it's kind of a bummer people only see crosby considering they have a lot of skilled guys besides him.

Sidney Crosby is far superior to Malkin and Ovechkin.
There's no denying it. Has anyone ever looked at the history of Crosby's line mates? Pascal Dupuis, Petr Sykora, Mark Recchi... Where's the supporting cast? He has had a few quality wingers that have played on his line.
Crosby is the best passer in the game today, he is strong on the puck and hard to knock off it. He has a great back check, quick hands and a hell of a shot.
Give him a couple good wingers and he'll make it rain.

I actully think Nicklas Backstrom is a better passer, but sure.. he is good. Although not nearly good enough compared to Ovechkin.

Ovechkin is not the best player in hockey.
He consistently takes 5 times more shots than any other NHL forward, He has a horrible shooting percentage, Hes a terrible checker (1/2 his checks he leaves his feet < Penalty), his back checking is sub par.
He is good at eventually putting the puck in (after 500 or more attempts he has 50+ Goals), not the best. though.

You can't just look at the stats on whichever website...you need to watch the two play, and in doing so you will see how much more Ovechkin dominates the game and brings more energy to his team. Crosby started off better earlier in the year (points wise), but as of late Ovechkin is impossible to keep off the scoresheet. When these two teams played eachother a week or so back, you could see how much more dominant Ovechkin was, Crosby realized this and threw a blatant cheapshot at Ovechkin.

yeah, but sunday, ovi was blown away by crosby, who had the best game outta all three, just because ovi has one good game against us, for the first time ever does not mean he is better than malkin or crosby...yeah he does have a lot of energy and is a great player- i will totallly agree, but crosby and malkin i believe are better all around players than ovi, i believe that ovi over commits way too much on both offense and defense...malkin and crosby are just meant to be assist getters

Ovie is horrible defensively. Granted, since he is a winger, he's not as involved when it comes to defense... but he hardly ever back checks. For the most part, he's a cherry picker. He waits for his teammates to steal the puck and send it up to him at center ice. He's an amazing offensive talent, without a doubt the best goal scorer of this era, but thats the only thing he is best at. Overall offensively, Malkin is the best. Overall defensively, it's between Malkin and Crosby. Take your pick.
