  • the sad thing is im doing this so i look like that. not everyone with an eating disorder is bones like that. we all want to be, but its not like that. im still stuck at a healthy weight. but not for long. its horrible, but this ad is like thinspo.

  • HER LEGS♥

  • a friend of mine looks like her, and she is not anorexic, besides she swims a lot, shes really fast

  • i would kill to look like her!

  • i want to look like her.

  • i'd love to look so thin and delicate

  • I think this PERFECTLY shows the truth about eating disorders. Notice how she isn't even happy that she reached another goal? All she wants is to lose more. That's how it is.

    PS. I love her legs.

  • I thinks she's pretty...

  • She is so thin and beautiful.. :(

  • I know this girl, we used to work together and now she has all these modelling contracts around the world, which I find to be a bit ironic.

  • the sad thing is that people with eating disorder dont always look like skin and bones. if they did, it would be much easier to recognzie the signs. in fact, i used to say, "you're wrong. if i had an ED, you would be able to see my spine, ribcage, my thighs wouldnt touch, and i would be more boney." and they would agree. the thing is is DO have an ED. nobody knows. it makes me try HARDER. this commercial, along with every other ED commercial, makes me want to get thinner.

  • @JRmcMGG aww, im sorry, even just yesterday 2 kids i go to school with were making fun of anorexics, i told them that there are 2 in our grade, they just brought up the 2 thinnest girls in it, neither one of them have anorexia, the ones that do no one notices...

  • @HopeBreakerBVB thank you. i know, people dont understand how devastating it is to live with this disease. its sad to think its funny to some people. they wouldnt laugh if they were the ones struggling. and its hard for someone with a serious eating disorder to think that nobody would ever consider them having an ED. to me, its just as bad as being called fat. i'll keep those 2 girls you know in my prayers. god bless you,

  • @JRmcMGG Thanks, and i agree, i actually know a few more people that struggle but they're the only 2 those kids knew, one of the girls was underweight already before anorexia, the other one lost over 20lbs... My neighbor even has bulimia nervosa, she just doesnt get what so bad about it, and shes only 11...

  • @HopeBreakerBVB thats so sad. sometimes i think the statistcs are wrong, because it seems like so many more people have EDs than they say. and only 11? i first started deiting at 12, and by the time i was 13 my i can say with certainty it was a full blown ED. i never bother to go to doctors, though. nothing they tell me will work. i know its illogical and dangerous. and the part of my brain that controls my eating disorder is more powerful than the part that wants me to be healthy.

  • @JRmcMGG yep only 11, and it started when she just turned 10 or something, my other neighbor and i have told her many times to go to the doctors or tell her mom, just something that will get her to stop. I hate eating disorders, its affected so many people. Sorry to hear about what happened to you, hopefully, the part of you that wants to be healthy will soon take over :)

  • @HopeBreakerBVB I hope she gets help. haveing an eating disorder is like having split personality. you live as a regular person, but when you're alone you change. you starve, workout, binge, purge, ect. its so hard. thank you, i'll keep fighting this. (:

  • @JRmcMGG thats true.

  • you guys dont get it ive lost twenty pounds in the past few weeks and i look in the mirror and see the same fat cow i was a few weeks ago you cant convince me i.'ve lost weight because i dont see i;t the scale tells me one thing but my eyes show a completely different story and im not satisfied with what i see

  • She has around my goal weight. Damn.

  • i wrote my wieght on a paper like that,my friend was sneeking it out of my binder because she noticed i always tryed to hide it,and how does that scale she is using work?

  • I wish I didn't wish I had those legs.

  • Her legs are to die for!

  • Hey guys, I was just thinking that you should do one for bulimia. Because I'm bulimic and some of these comercials don't cover ALL of the eating disorders. I would be happy to be in it :P haha I'm kidding about that last part. But I have some good ideas about it.(: good luck to anyone who is suffering and there IS hope, I promise you!

  • @pigluver486 Im bulimic 2, how old r u? Im 13, been bulimic 4 3 yrs now...so how old r u?

  • you don't have to be skinny to have an eating disorder. some of them are really heavy (or obese, if that's the right term). not all anorexics are underweight.

  • @krziie4urluhv You can indeed get better. People even recover from drugs. You know, it's probably better to have struggled because in the end you learn more about who you are and what you want and what you are capable of.

  • yeah i dont think she is to thin either

  • i'd love to be that thin!

  • @thesophieduncan Would you love all that came along with it?

  • Comment removed

  • @MachineAmbition obviously not but because im so screwed up in the head with my own ed, it's worth it to me

  • @thesophieduncan If you actually want to get out of the terrible situation you are in, you should probably only post comments that 1. State your disordered thinking as disordered and critique it. 2. Encourage only the rational part of your mind that is your true self by not making comments other than rational ones. I've had issues with food myself and they did not get better until I challenged my own thinking. It's hard, but I guess you have to be sick enough of your illness to look past it.

  • love this!!!! <3

  • i am very glad that i have a body and am not that skinny

  • u no i used 2 do da same exacte thing with i was anorexic...

its just 2 sad 2 watch dis

  • thats how skinny i want to be

  • @Lovemonkeysxox exactly me too? would you say that is not normal to want to look that skinny?

  • @Lovemonkeysxox yeah same! is it strange, but i like the way she looks. i dont think she tooo thin.

  • I wish I were that thin

  • "i'm not as thin as the girl from this vid. so im not anorexic, so i cant ask someone for help. first i have to loose weight. "

  • you don't have to be thin to have anorexia

  • @Makabret

    exactly my toughts.

A LOT of people with eating disorders aren't deadly thin, that kind of commercial is just digging the "eating disorder stereotype" .

Thats why ppl with eds have issues telling her friends or family, because they dont look sick so they're affraid ppl wont believe them.

That kind of video makes things even more difficult ..

  • ha shes one of my good friends :)

definantly not anorexic .. no joke. she just does alot of commercials and modelling. :)

  • this girl goes to my school, she isnt really anorexic

  • bullshit.

  • I wish i can be that skinny

  • huh?!!?!?!?

  • me too

  • @Vanessas1905 me 2!

  • I want her legs so bad... and i love swimming.

  • @Sararokaz111 omg me 2!!!I HATE HAVING SHORT STOCKY LEGS!!I want a long slender body

  • @tatulover2120 same here :/

  • it's not that simple.

if you have an eating disorer, you can wanna get better; but they still have that fear of food, and gaining weight.

  • Ohhh alright ok im sorry, awh :[

  • This is very sad,

  • i know she doesnt looks as anorexic as we see in other pictures, but she is heading that way to become anorexic. it's really sad, she just looks like a little girl. god, just exercise and eat healthy! but do not cut out food, or skip a meal. food is for eatting not starting at it. healthy bodys are beautiful, not bones.

  • this commercial really speaks to me...& by the way.what is nervosa.?

  • it's really hard to battle eating disorder especially anorexia nervosa and bulimia

  • its wrong to want to be that thin.

theres a difference between being thin and being healthy.

    "DYING to be thin"

    look at that 2 ways.

  • Thats really really really sad.

Yet i'd still die for her body .

  • die in a fire.

  • no she probably wouldnt. Because she has less body fat, she would burn less and have more of a chance to excape.

  • The problem with these videos is that MANY people with EDs do NOT look like this.

  • @ladymarynt i looked at it.

  • @ladymarynt You're right. As a result, many people don't recognize eating disorder behavior and many people who are in danger don't think they are "thin enough" to get help. People say that unless you are that skinny, you can't have an ED. These ads rely on the perceived glamour of thinness to function - anorexia gets more attention than other eating disorders because it's more of a spectacle when people are finally emaciated. A lot of people won't make it that low, however, because they die.

  • @ladymarynt agreed!

  • @ladymarynt very true....i wasnt super skinny by ANY means,,,i really was overweight when i was starving and purging

  • @ladymarynt Makes you look out for it more and it also depends on the person. Just because someone isn't stick thin and they have meat on them, doesn't mean they Don't have an eating disorder. It just means it hasn't gone too far........yet.

  • i got realli scared when i saw thhis. she looks like she could just break!

  • I know this girl and she is not anorexic at all !

  • i know her. ! :)

  • I LOVED TO LOOK LIKE THAT!

  • i didn't really get it...

she's tryin to loose her weight. that, i get it.

but the scale, writing her weight on the locker...

    Her ideal weight is 60?

what dose her move specifically mean??

  • the way a manual scale works, you add the two numbers together (so 60+18=78) which was her original goal weight as seen in her locker, but now that she's reached it, her new goal is to be 75 lbs.

  • its just a comercial lol..........sad though thats me after track practice :(

  • It's called an eating disorder. =/

  • I love this commercial. It's really deep.

  • this is a good ad :) but i dont care how wrong it sounds but i admire her body so much, but ill never be like that :'(
