They thought about making the series zuatara @ first but decided on kataang. But Nick started posting in their magazines and what-not that there is 'heat' between Zuko and Katara, and at one of the NYCC someone asked Bryke about Zutara and they had now clue what the person was talking about. There is NO evidence of zuatara in the show, ppl just have overactive imaginations and THEY see romance between the two. Zutara never existed until Nick came out with the story, which is kinda mean to fans

We'll probably see older Kataang in a flashback in the mini-series (Since it's "Mini", maybe it'll involve the G-Aang; in case the movie fails). Right now, anything with new characters, new Avatar and new storyline sounds like a YuGiOh GX disaster, or something as lame as Ben 10/Alien Force.
I agree with you completely. I watched YuGiOh and after it finally ended I stopped watching it. About a month ago I saw an episode of a new YuGiOh series and it sucked. But I would like to find out where his mother was, even if they do like 30-minute special just to satisfy the fans.

From a lot of what I've heard, you zutarians just like the idea because of 'yin and yang,''opposites attract,''oh they look so good together,' but there was never a shred of canon evidence that ever pointed to one of them liking the other. It was always only ever a zero-sided relationship. I just have a problem with it because sometimes zutarians say that there was evidence.
Well, the points still stand. There honestly isn't any proof for zutara. Neither Zuko nor Katara ever showed any hint that they liked each other, unlike Katara blushing about Haru, or Katara liking Jet, or Katara in the end with Aang. No, you were right Mike and Brian have repetitively stated in interviews that they never intended Zutata and were even surprised to find out people ship it. They make fun of it constantly and they even laugh at Zutarians in the season three finale DVD commentaries. Nickelodeon made the extra's up because they know shippers make up the fandom and have been known to pander to them for ratings like in the original season 2 finale trailer before M&B made Nick take it down for leading fans on.

I don't believe that she was, and most Kataangers would not argue that she fell "in love at first sight". For her it was more of a journey of discovery... except then, you know, at the end she sort of kissed Aang passionately in front of the sunset with the words "the end" and the "Kataang Theme" playing. Not sure if this went through or not, but clearly you don't have to go all nuclear because someone makes a comment based on a screenshot. Solid proof? Would you wait till I actually reply before accusing me of crap? Look for a screenshot. That's where I found it. A SCREENSHOT! From the show. Where Zuko walks down to the SWT. Please, wait until you find out more before you go crazy.

Okay, I didn't 'go nuclear,' I stated that I wanted proof before I believed you. And you gave me proof, so it's all clear. If anyone went nuclear, it was you first for saying something like "Duh! Research!" I know that M&B stated that THEY KNEW Katara and Aang were going to be together from the beginning, and that's why the zutarians couldn't change their minds. Obviously, 'the beginning' was after they made everything clear, AFTER they decided that Zuko and Katara would not make a good couple.

No, you were right Mike and Brian have repetitively stated in interviews that they never intended Zutata and were even surprised to find out people ship it. They make fun of it constantly and they even laugh at Zutarians in the season three finale DVD commentaries. Nickelodeon made the extra's up because they know shippers make up the fandom and have been known to pander to them for ratings like in the original season 2 finale trailer before M&B made Nick take it down for leading fans on.

Please explain that, because obviously there wasn't a whole bunch of Kataang in the WHOLE SERIES, and that is definitely not why we started shipping it, rather than coming up with crazy pairings that never had any sort of canon support. -rolls eyes-

-_- Really? Have you not even seen the series? There's more Zutara in there than Kataang. Unless you count his obsessiveness Kataang. Than yeah, go ahead. But I only count...what? maybe three times tops that Katara shows something for aang? Zutara was canon. Zutara is canon. Nuff said.

Because you said take that zutards! Kataang all the way. How did you expect someone NOT to comment on that? Really? And I said, "I think that's all..." as in, I think or I do believe that's all I need to say here.
Funny part, they have to tell people that Katara was in love with Aang at that moment. Don't you think that if it was real, we would have seen it? And she wouldn't be flaky with him? And I don't know... stayed with him and not looked at other boys?

I don't believe that she was, and most Kataangers would not argue that she fell "in love at first sight". For her it was more of a journey of discovery... except then, you know, at the end she sort of kissed Aang passionately in front of the sunset with the words "the end" and the "Kataang Theme" playing. In case you'd forgotten that.

DIMARTINO: Sorry to disappoint the "Zutara" fans out there, but we never intended for Zuko and Katara to get together. Maybe we're just sentimental, but we always had a soft spot in our hearts for "Kataang".
So I believe the men that wrote the show and not some thought bubbles that Nickalodian wrote as fan service to shippers.
