aw man this opening brings me back to my childhood growing up in chicago. john tim, mary ann, joan esposito, jim rose, andy avalos, russ ewing turning fugitives in so the cops wouldn't kick they ass... great memories man.
I have a weired Tim Weigel story. Back in the early 90's I was in SE MO. My dad had one of those huge sattelite dishes. Anyway, we were watching a pre-season Bears game. When they took a comercial break, we didn't get comercials because of the sattelite feed. Tim was one of the announcers and during the comercial break he proceded to use foul language aimed at sattelite dish owners. He was cussing because we were getting the feed via sattelite. I was shocked. But it really happened.
I going to miss John. Great man, great anchorman, there will be no one like him! WBBM should have 3 anchors at 10pm like WLS. I also think WBBM management needs to bring back Antonio Mora to the 10pm slot. Ratings have significatly dropped since he was demoted.
RIP John Drury & Tim Weigel (even though that's Mike Adamle filling in for Weigel).

Mary Ann Childers has been with WBBM CBS 2 since 1994 and never ages. They need to put her back in the 10PM anchor chair where she belongs. She, like John Drury, personify Chicago TV news.
