If we remember correctly, James anderson's ball tampering was more convincing than Video footage of Sachin tendulkar's so called tampering.

In sachin's case, even though there was no formal complaint, Match refree had penalised him based on "broadcaster's video footage". But there is no action on Either James anderson or Stuart Broad.

For starters you don't get banned for ball tampering. You get fined first offence like Rahul dravid or Shoiab aktar (he got banned 2nd time evidently). As a somewhat neutral (well not really) Australian it seems as though it was a bit of a storm in a teacup. Bowlers have stopped the ball with their spikes before. With Anderson however, I have seen the footage . He's picking at the seams blatantly. Even if he he was cleaning the ball he has to do it in front of the umpire so he's f'd either way.
