When I was young we we forced to learn Russian in my school. We all considered our patriotic duty to not to learn; as we considered it the language of our occupier.

Nowadays I wish I wouldn't so stupid. I had the occassion to learn it, and I wasted it. I would understood then such beautiful song...

@szopen76 so was in my country, but fortunately I liked standing out the crowd so I was the only one in my class who learned Russian. It is so stupid to force people not to learn particular language - that's even worse than Soviet Union itself.
