Ok first off. Stop judging people who support obama. It is not your job to judge other catholics. Second, Obama is a great canidate. Although he is pro-choice he has many catholic ideas that are good. Mccain also has good ideas but he believes in torture and war. Both have some faults but at the end of the day its a personnal choice not a cathoic choice. so stop being judgmental. It is a choice from within. god judges, not you. Obama and mccain are good but overall obama is better
God has judged them. Parents putting their own offspring to death is a capital crime in God's eyes (Leviticus 20:2-3). According to Leviticus 20:4-5, God has cut those in this video off from fellowship with Him.
There was nothing wrong with being anti-McCain. But if you're a pro-Obama Catholic, then you can only be described in one of two ways: the dumbest human beings on earth or the most vile human beings on earth. Take your pick.

So-called "social conservatives" are not pro-life, nor can those that vote for them claim to be pro-life (or Christian!). Anyone who voted for candidates that helped dismantle welfare, food stamps, health care for the poor in America are not pro-life, let alone Christian. Anyone who votes for candidates that are "social conservatives" are neither pro-life or Christian!
You also cannot praise Jesus on Sunday and spit on the homeless on Monday!
I proudly voted for Obama, and even took part in some campaigning!!!
I voted for Obama because of HOPE that those that are suffering from poverty, homelessness, joblessness, and dying without heath care - can have better lives!
What are conservative Republican answers to all of the above? blame the victims of poverty, homelessness - and continue to cut programs that help poor mothers.
I will NEVER vote for a Republican so as long as the hate for the poor continues!!!
Here you go again. Over 50% of Catholics voted for genocide Candidate Barak Hussein Obama, the most pro-death candidate in our history. The voting records show this. Once again, liberalism is a mental disorder. "I am a Catholic and I vote for Obama" show that you all do not follow your Catholic Church period. It is a moral grave sin to commit murder. All other social issues rest upon the sanctity of life. Repent Catholics because you have voted for evil.
How do you know that those Catholics that voted for Obama are "liberals?" Also, Michael Savage is not in a position to determine what a mental disorder is. "Liberalism" has different meaning in different political contexts. America's founding fathers were liberals. The unnatural focus on Roe to the exclusion of other life issues (like poverty) can be described as obsessive, as well an un-Christian.
The criminal justice system in America is far too imperfect and run by human beings with biases. Capital punishment in America simply cannot be viewed as "divine justice" and denies the redeeming powers of Christ. The state and government (made up of human beings) decides what offenses are liable to the death penalty, which could include felony-murder.
Only God should decide when it's time for a human being to die - from conception to natural death!
You could not be a strict catholic and support barack obama! He is a good person, yet he supports planned parenthood and also he had less experience than his running mate. He may serve as a symbol of hope, yet there is only one true symbol of hope and that is the lamb of God, the Savior Jesus Christ!
The ONLY choice for strict Catholics was Barack Obama!
He was the only on talking about social justice and helping the poor. Again, the issue is not abortion versus social justice. For TOO long Catholic have been tied to every election as a referendum on Roe. This kept Catholics from letting their voices be heard on social justice issues!
if you did any research on the church, you would see that the MOST important issue is abortion, not the financial problems of americans. you think God cares more about financial issues or life? come on.
any catholic who voted obama is no longer a catholic.
If you did any research, you would know that social justice started in Europe and stemmed from the Rerum Novarum. The social-economic issues ARE concerns of Catholics. The reality is that social justice is a life issue and is not only just as important as other pro-life issues, but addressing the economic needs of mothers can help undermine the abortion industry. Go and Google "Christian Democracy."
No - it's not the "end of the story." I never said that I am "pro-choice." American politics does not offer good choices. There are better ways to combat the sin of abortion other than a narrow fixation on Roe and turning EVERY election to just a focus on Roe.
It is NOT a choice b/t "pro-life" and social justice.
There are other issues that are also inclusive of pro-life - such as access to health care for ALL!
woah hang on. since when does health care have anything to do with pro-life issues? are you saying that the right to health care is as fundamental as the right to live? please! then with your logic, everyone should have the right to free food, free clothing, and free shelter since those are all important to live. i'm sorry, the church CERTAINLY has no place for socialism.
the fact of the matter is that you have openly gone against the preaching of the pope. admit you have.
what?! catholic christians, please, life, life, life. babies being slaughtered in the womb. this is not catholic. this is not my church. help to save unborn babies.
Death penalty is put on convicted murderers (most of the time), that's much different than dealing with innocent aborted children who have never committed a crime, thus have no guilt (except inherited sin concerning the Chrstian dogma). That's just to illustrate that being pro-life and pro-capital punishment is not a contradiction.
The death penalty is different though, such as a loving God must give judgement to the wicked, he has left us the moral responsibility to serve the sentence of death on those who commit acts so gruesome and inhuman, that the best judgement for society and the best act of mercy we can give them is death. After death they shall be judged by the father in heaven for there actions of earth.
Yes but in this society we must have a deterent for crimes such as murder, so that other peoples will not commit crimes against there brothers. I never said they were evil at all, they could be good.. Thats why if they change there ways, they should be released. Thats my own personal idea there. Yet I just believe that the death penalty serves as a way to show others in this world... that things that affect and hurt society.. must face the responsibility of death and live up to there actions.
People are not voting for Obama for pro-choice! The context and structure of American politics does not allow for a pro-life, social justice candidate. As stated, the presidential elections of the past have force Catholics and other Christians to forget social justice and focus on Roe.
Again, many women get abortions because they cannot afford to raise a child. Let's make it possible for ALL women to raise a child and have a decent life too!
The war cry of the economic rationalist? It is a lame excuse. With due respect and love my brothers and sisters, There is NO Excuse for infanticie. Look at the dirt poor in the poorest counties of the world, they cherish their children as they should. they never use such an arguement. That is not to say we trade off one against another both have to be dealt with at the same time. Yes we can chew gum and walk at the same time!
I stand by what I said, A society that gives its blessing to infanticide is Barbaric!
People who oppose the killing in war but support the killing of the most vulnerable are hypocrites!
If they cannot see that they are both killing human beings then they are blind! and / or deceived. Please understand I don't judge the person but the action.
I am not hateful but angry, whould you not be if your brother or sister was murdered and it was sanctioned by the STATE?
I use my voice which God has given me to defend the defenseless and voiceless this is the least i can do.
If these people in the video are Catholics then I would call upon them to listen to the word of GOD through his Church and to obey it's (Christs) teachings and turn away from FALSE Doctrines.
There are many people being killed every day that is sanctioned by the state and the nation.
I think it is immature to brush with a broad stroke everyone who is Pro-Choice as being Pro-Abortion. You are assuming that you can look into someone's heart. You can't.
All killing is wrong! Two wrongs don't make a right! If Pro-Choice is not the power and exercising of that power by a "superior??" person to kill a weaker defenseless person then I don't know what the Choice is. Choosing what?? Yes i don't know what is in their heart or in the heart of any murderer, killer, thief etc... however the life of all persons must be protected not simply a chosen few.
Would you condone the slaughter of say 100 young teanage girls or would you remain silent?
As Catholics we should not support canidates that are for abortion, euthanasia, embryonic stem cell research, human cloning, or homosexual "marriage". While Obama may have some good social policies, we cannot put a higher importance on them than the life issues and protecting the sanctity of marriage. I pray all of you will do your part to help the poor and protect our environment rather than depending on our government. This election I ask you to please promote a culture of life. God Bless.
You also cannot be a one issue voter. One party generally may oppose abortion, but care nonething about a person once he or she enters the world. I will not be fooled. This Catholic is proud to cast his vote for BARACK OBAMA!
You cannot be a catholic and vote obama. Any catholic who votes for a person who is pro abortion in the churches eyes is excommunicated! loOk iT up! Wow...
not sure if you guys are aware of it but abortion is a Catholic dogma. you cant be both Catholic and pro choice... it doesn't work like that. those who claim to be are mistaken, they are simply people who support abortion and claim Catholicism as a title. that would be considered the same as saying "I'm a catholic, but i don't believe in life after death"
1. The proposals of Senator Obama, when implemented in other countries that have legalized abortion, have demonstrated a reduction in abortions by virtue of the care, support and resources available to those facing the issues of unwanted pregnancy. To be able to save those lives is my number one priority.
4. I can no longer tolerate the religious right co-opting the political agenda while spewing intolerance toward gays. I would rather give a nod to committed love toward two homosexuals being closer to gospel values than global militarism, support of torture, trillion dollars toward unjust wars and other atrocities of the republican political machine.
6. Republican economic policies are not aligned with the gospel values of a preferential option for the poor; there permissive application have led to economic apocalypse, environmental disaster, and gross injustice in the distribution of wealth.
5. Democratic social policy is more closely aligned with Catholic social teaching, especially on immigration and health care.
7. Roe V. Wade has little chance of being overturned in the next 4 years. If it were, it would be kicked back to the states. It would not reduce abortions, just move them around. A more effective strategy this year is to work to promote reducing abortions, rather than overturning ROE v Wade:
Some of these comments are ridiculous. So you can't be a believer if someone tells you-you can't be a believer? Who are you to decide that these people are non-Catholic simply because they've made this political choice? I'd imagine that most of you are men trying to dictate what a woman should do with her body. Simply put, there is a pain associated with both birth and abortion. Neither are easy ordeals. Women seriously have to think when they have conceived a child under any circumstance.
Sometimes you're a mother who has already had children, and you know that your household is unlikely to accommodate more. Sometimes you're a college student who is not ready to be a mother, and may potentially have to deal with going to school and taking on a job or two. In the long-run, abortion may be a better option for the individual woman. It is a choice. Not a mandate. Would you honestly tell a girl who has been raped by her father that she must have a baby, even at the risk of death?
Aborition issues aside, I don't think that is the only factor taken into consideration when you think in "pro-life" and "pro-choice" terms. I mean, "pro-life" is a choice just as much as "pro-choice," but the terminology exemplifies some form of linguistic relativism. But really . . . putting that aside. If you're only looking at these two candidates, you could be looking at the best pick for you, the lesser of the two evils, etc. Pro-choice may not be that important to these people.
How should a Catholic vote? Both McCain and Obama are pro-choice. McCain has stated that he believes that abortion is ok in terms of saving the mother's life, incest and rape. That's still considered somewhat pro-choice.
When it is time for me to meet my maker. I do not want to have to explain to the souls of millions of aborted babies why I voted for an abortion rights candidate
NB: Each supports Obama on single issues! No one cares about abortion though. Hector: "26,000 children dying from poverty every day." What country is this guy living in? Cassie: "I believes IN Obama." Dustan Park: "Torture is never ok." There are more abortions than tortures! Is abortion ok? Dave Barren says "my faith" has brought him to his choice. "Faith hope and action, change America?" but faith and hope in whom? Obviously not Jesus Christ and His Church.
Terrorists support Obama , they want to come out of their caves with a Democratic president!Oboombus will never fight back with strength if we are attacked .Liberals cant lead in war times.
GOD BLESS All the HOLY INNOCENT Children who have been Cold Bloodedly SACRIFIED, One day You and I will see them FACE TO FACE and stand before our Righteous Judge. No excuses now you know.
So do I you see we need to apply the same law to everyone. I as a Christian do not believe in War, exploitation of the weak by the powerful and greedy.
Jesus said those who live by the sword will die by the sword. He also taught us to "do unto others as you would have them do unto you"
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Yeah but screw the poor and fuck being good to those who hurt us. Who needs to live in God's love when we can always convert to screamingly insane bornagains...like Sarah Palin.

if you did any research on the church, you would see that the MOST important issue is abortion, not the financial problems of americans. you think God cares more about financial issues or life? come on.
any catholic who voted obama is no longer a catholic.
laura489 3 years ago
If you did any research, you would know that social justice started in Europe and stemmed from the Rerum Novarum. The social-economic issues ARE concerns of Catholics. The reality is that social justice is a life issue and is not only just as important as other pro-life issues, but addressing the economic needs of mothers can help undermine the abortion industry. Go and Google "Christian Democracy."
EUamerican 3 years ago
what has the Pope said? what has EVERY Catholic voting guide said? the most fundamental issue is life. end of story, take it or leave it.
laura489 3 years ago
No - it's not the "end of the story." I never said that I am "pro-choice." American politics does not offer good choices. There are better ways to combat the sin of abortion other than a narrow fixation on Roe and turning EVERY election to just a focus on Roe.
It is NOT a choice b/t "pro-life" and social justice.
There are other issues that are also inclusive of pro-life - such as access to health care for ALL!
EUamerican 3 years ago
woah hang on. since when does health care have anything to do with pro-life issues? are you saying that the right to health care is as fundamental as the right to live? please! then with your logic, everyone should have the right to free food, free clothing, and free shelter since those are all important to live. i'm sorry, the church CERTAINLY has no place for socialism.
the fact of the matter is that you have openly gone against the preaching of the pope. admit you have.
laura489 3 years ago
what?! catholic christians, please, life, life, life. babies being slaughtered in the womb. this is not catholic. this is not my church. help to save unborn babies.

Respect all life requires abolishing the death penalty too!
EUamerican 3 years ago
Death penalty is put on convicted murderers (most of the time), that's much different than dealing with innocent aborted children who have never committed a crime, thus have no guilt (except inherited sin concerning the Chrstian dogma). That's just to illustrate that being pro-life and pro-capital punishment is not a contradiction.
kakaokaka 3 years ago
The death penalty is different though, such as a loving God must give judgement to the wicked, he has left us the moral responsibility to serve the sentence of death on those who commit acts so gruesome and inhuman, that the best judgement for society and the best act of mercy we can give them is death. After death they shall be judged by the father in heaven for there actions of earth.
RockyBalboa211 3 years ago
What then do you say about Barabus? Jesus died in his place and there was NO demand by Christ that he die for being a murderer.
You also imply that people that commit horrible sin are PERMENANTLY "evil" and cannot be redeemed! Blasphemy!
Jesus dying in place of Barabus is a powerful image AGAINST the death penalty!
EUamerican 3 years ago
Yes but in this society we must have a deterent for crimes such as murder, so that other peoples will not commit crimes against there brothers. I never said they were evil at all, they could be good.. Thats why if they change there ways, they should be released. Thats my own personal idea there. Yet I just believe that the death penalty serves as a way to show others in this world... that things that affect and hurt society.. must face the responsibility of death and live up to there actions.
RockyBalboa211 3 years ago
People are not voting for Obama for pro-choice! The context and structure of American politics does not allow for a pro-life, social justice candidate. As stated, the presidential elections of the past have force Catholics and other Christians to forget social justice and focus on Roe.
Again, many women get abortions because they cannot afford to raise a child. Let's make it possible for ALL women to raise a child and have a decent life too!

Any Catholic considering voting for Obama should check out the video Titled "Bishop Gracida Regarding Obama and Abortion Guilt"

Sorry, Peter, it's not a trade-off between fighting abortion and social justice.
The reason why many mothers seek to kill their unborn children is due to the inability to support a child.
WE NEED social-economic stability to combat the sin of abortion!
EUamerican 3 years ago
The war cry of the economic rationalist? It is a lame excuse. With due respect and love my brothers and sisters, There is NO Excuse for infanticie. Look at the dirt poor in the poorest counties of the world, they cherish their children as they should. they never use such an arguement. That is not to say we trade off one against another both have to be dealt with at the same time. Yes we can chew gum and walk at the same time!

I keep asking myself - why is Collateral Damage okay. How many civilians have been killed by bombs?
makingahome 3 years ago
Collataral damage is a euphemism just like Pro-Choice is. Both are dreadfully evil.
Lets respect all life!
PeterMansour 3 years ago
All of you should be thankful you were not aborted (slaughterd). Yet you have no regard to afford the same right to life to others.
YOU Barbaric HYPOCRITES!! You don't want War or starvation yet you allow the killing of your brothers and sister!!
May the Lord Jesus have mercy on you, remove your self imposed blindness and open you mind and hearts to the True teaching of HIS Church.
PeterMansour 3 years ago
I support ALL life - those born and unborn, those Catholic and non-catholics. I also support Obama.
Please stop with the hateful rhetoric
makingahome 3 years ago
I stand by what I said, A society that gives its blessing to infanticide is Barbaric!
People who oppose the killing in war but support the killing of the most vulnerable are hypocrites!
If they cannot see that they are both killing human beings then they are blind! and / or deceived. Please understand I don't judge the person but the action.
PeterMansour 3 years ago
I am not hateful but angry, whould you not be if your brother or sister was murdered and it was sanctioned by the STATE?
I use my voice which God has given me to defend the defenseless and voiceless this is the least i can do.
If these people in the video are Catholics then I would call upon them to listen to the word of GOD through his Church and to obey it's (Christs) teachings and turn away from FALSE Doctrines.
PeterMansour 3 years ago
There are many people being killed every day that is sanctioned by the state and the nation.
I think it is immature to brush with a broad stroke everyone who is Pro-Choice as being Pro-Abortion. You are assuming that you can look into someone's heart. You can't.
makingahome 3 years ago
All killing is wrong! Two wrongs don't make a right! If Pro-Choice is not the power and exercising of that power by a "superior??" person to kill a weaker defenseless person then I don't know what the Choice is. Choosing what?? Yes i don't know what is in their heart or in the heart of any murderer, killer, thief etc... however the life of all persons must be protected not simply a chosen few.
Would you condone the slaughter of say 100 young teanage girls or would you remain silent?
PeterMansour 3 years ago
As Catholics we should not support canidates that are for abortion, euthanasia, embryonic stem cell research, human cloning, or homosexual "marriage". While Obama may have some good social policies, we cannot put a higher importance on them than the life issues and protecting the sanctity of marriage. I pray all of you will do your part to help the poor and protect our environment rather than depending on our government. This election I ask you to please promote a culture of life. God Bless.
jesuslovingcatholic 3 years ago
You also cannot be a one issue voter. One party generally may oppose abortion, but care nonething about a person once he or she enters the world. I will not be fooled. This Catholic is proud to cast his vote for BARACK OBAMA!
nwside7725 3 years ago
You cannot be a catholic and vote obama. Any catholic who votes for a person who is pro abortion in the churches eyes is excommunicated! loOk iT up! Wow...
KimberlyStarr21 3 years ago
not sure if you guys are aware of it but abortion is a Catholic dogma. you cant be both Catholic and pro choice... it doesn't work like that. those who claim to be are mistaken, they are simply people who support abortion and claim Catholicism as a title. that would be considered the same as saying "I'm a catholic, but i don't believe in life after death"
cbswistler 3 years ago

CatholicPat 3 years ago
7. Roe V. Wade has little chance of being overturned in the next 4 years. If it were, it would be kicked back to the states. It would not reduce abortions, just move them around. A more effective strategy this year is to work to promote reducing abortions, rather than overturning ROE v Wade:

My name is Pat... I'm a catholic with a degree in Theology... These are my top 10 reasons I'm voting for Obama...
10. Republicans removed abortion reduction language from their platform this year.
9. Our church teaching encourages all to form our consciences on a number of issues, not just one issue:
8. I believe I can influence my party, like Bishop Chaput encourages us to.

PrometheanFlame 3 years ago
Sometimes you're a mother who has already had children, and you know that your household is unlikely to accommodate more. Sometimes you're a college student who is not ready to be a mother, and may potentially have to deal with going to school and taking on a job or two. In the long-run, abortion may be a better option for the individual woman. It is a choice. Not a mandate. Would you honestly tell a girl who has been raped by her father that she must have a baby, even at the risk of death?
PrometheanFlame 3 years ago
Aborition issues aside, I don't think that is the only factor taken into consideration when you think in "pro-life" and "pro-choice" terms. I mean, "pro-life" is a choice just as much as "pro-choice," but the terminology exemplifies some form of linguistic relativism. But really . . . putting that aside. If you're only looking at these two candidates, you could be looking at the best pick for you, the lesser of the two evils, etc. Pro-choice may not be that important to these people.
PrometheanFlame 3 years ago
How should a Catholic vote? Both McCain and Obama are pro-choice. McCain has stated that he believes that abortion is ok in terms of saving the mother's life, incest and rape. That's still considered somewhat pro-choice.

Fake Catholics for Obama
NB: Each supports Obama on single issues! No one cares about abortion though. Hector: "26,000 children dying from poverty every day." What country is this guy living in? Cassie: "I believes IN Obama." Dustan Park: "Torture is never ok." There are more abortions than tortures! Is abortion ok? Dave Barren says "my faith" has brought him to his choice. "Faith hope and action, change America?" but faith and hope in whom? Obviously not Jesus Christ and His Church.
